Hello there! I own a IWME 27 washing machine by Indesit. I have the S/N if necessary. Attached pictures of the problem + video: https://youtu.be/ChZOoD2yWMo Issues started appearing when the machine was loaded with probably too many bedsheets. I wonder if the cracking was caused by this. Thank you sk

Lots of banging during the spin cycle of my LG F1281TD (about 6 years old) resulted in me taking the machine apart to find the reason. I discovered that a cement weight block attached to the front of the drum was being held in place by just one retaining bolt. There were three more that had fallen out at the bottom of the machine. I replaced them and tightened them up pretty well although the thread seemed to have gone on one. Once the machine was back together I put it on a spin, it started off well but then I heard what I assumed to be the loose bolt fall out. I haven't taken it apart again yet but at the end of the spin it was banging again and by ro…

Opening the drum casing

Good morning. I have changed bearings on washing machines in the past - most recently on an AEG Lavamat. When the drum bearing went on my Hotpooint Aqualtis I assumed it would be straightforward to change... but my problem is that I have removed the drum and casing ( a nightmare in itself) but cannot split the casing . Any one have any ideas on how to go about this without damaging the casing. ? Many thanks.

I've purchased a Bosch Series 4 model nr WAN28209FF and the fabric softener doesn't get used. I would send it to warranty but it's such a hassle moving it around I would prefer not to.

Hi all, I've been reading through this amazingly helpful forum and have found a lot of similar issues, but I've now reached a dead end, I'm hoping someone can give me some guidance. My Bosch washer dryer is this model: wvd24520gb/01 On every dry cycle it stops after 15 mins, and the element never gets hot at all. Here's what I've checked: - The fan is spinning and air is circulating - Water is entering the condenser and being drained - The thermostat hasn't tripped, and has continuity as expected - The NTC sensor has the expected resistance, 4.8kOhms at room temp, which falls when heated - The element has the expected resistance, 36…

Hi all. Looking for help diagnosing what is going on with my washing machine. Zanussi ZWF16070W1 - 10 years old, steady use through that (couple of minor replacements in that time, pump, heating element) Symptoms: Fills ok, drains ok, door latch locks and unlocks ok. Intermittent problem: Fills with water then stops - drum doesn't spin either way. - machine does nothing. I have tested this on various settings and it behaves random on each - sometimes the drum will spin in each direction for the cycle - but more often nothing will happen. Sometimes on spin setting it will perform the spin - other times it wont. On the times it does wor…

I have read the advise above and looked through other resources to find a solution but couldn't find anything similar to my washer's problem. My Zanussi Lindo1000 started stopping about 2 -15 minutes into washing cycle, displaying 1 (I guess 1 minute before end of programme) and straight after displaying 0 and beeping (I guess end of cycle). Hence there is water in the drum it wouldn't open the door unless released by emergency release. It doesn't run any programme after switching off and on and emergency door release and emptying the drum. After some fiddling with the door, power on/off it may start and run one or two full washing cycles as normal but then it starts all…

Hi. It's me again. I have a 7 year old Bosch Washer/Dryer combo that stopped in the night on a wash/dry cycle. The circuit breaker to the kitchen had popped. And it popped a couple of more times in attempting to restore operation. In the end it was the dryer fan that needed replacement. The fan draws air from the condenser and directs it through a manifold with a heater element and a couple of TOCs. The TOC's are normally closed switches that open if it's too hot in the manifold. In this case the fan would not spin, the air was not moving, things got over-heated and both TOCs popped open to shut down the heater. At that point we got an E95 diagnostic on th…

Hi guys, Bit of a weird one! I return home from work last week to find the the kitchen flooded and the circuit breaker tripped. The washing machine would not power up and the fuse and power source were fine. I quickly found the issues and it turns out a slug had worked its way into the PCB housing and managed to fry itself and the PCB in the process! The model of the washing machine is a HOTPOINT - WMFUG 863G and is about three years old. I quickly found a replacement PCB on eBay which was described as in used working order for £20. Before switching out the damaged PCB for the new one i took photos of all the connections to ensure they went back …

Hello, recently I had the 3E error on my 12kg Samsung washing machine that didn't permit to complete any of the washing programs. I replaced the main pcb and it is working again. I think the problem is that the main chip under the big black heat sink heats too much and burns. I am from Portugal and the summer is reasonably hot and it may contribute to this problem. The board basically lasted about less than 3 years. But I want it to last much more than that because the board is expensive (about 130eur). So I installed an 110-220VAC fan. I cutted some of the plate and created a housing for the fan. Also drilled some holes on the other side of the pcb plast…

Hi guys newbie here, my washing machine seems to of developed a possible door lock fault, the alarm goes off and it won't operate unless I press firmly on the door and hold, it'll then work, I suspect a catch, but thought I check before ordering the part, any ideas? Thanks in advance 👍

Hey all. My hotpoint ariston aq92f-29-fr has been making a lot of noise when spinning recently (for the past year to be honest) - I figured it was the bearings going - after taking the back off, I saw the attached (the belt was still in place before I took the photo) 2 things going on here - the obvious rusty brown water stain coming from the middle of the drum - the second being the main belt wheel (big black 5 spoked thing - I'm no expert!) has worn a groove into the plastic drum housing. I have tried to remove the torx bolt in the middle to see if the reveals anything, but can't get it to budge (is it reverse threaded?) - I also suspect tha…

Hello everyone! First time post here. You guys seem to be the experts so thought I would drop a message before rage-quitting Beko and buying myself a new machine :P. Over the last 6 or so months, my machine seems to be wobbling more and more. I have tried replacing the shocks and re-balancing the machine using a spirit level - both to no avail. I have taken the top off and recorded a few videos, any idea what is wrong? Im swaying to it being the bearings or something. The whole drum feels lose and wobbles easily with a push of my finger. The thing is held in place by two springs at the top and two shocks at the bottom. Thanks in advanced. Scott …

My Bosch wat28370gb/13 is giving E18 and E83 errors... I first guessed it was the drain pump which I have replaced but I am getting the same error... normally E18 at the end of a wash and/or E83 near the beginning. I now suspect the Pressure sensor (or maybe a blocked tube?)... Anyway... How do I enter test mode? I think I want to run a pressure sensor test... P:07? I searched high and low around the interwebs but cannot find a wat28370gb/13 repair guide anywhere. PS The machine is out of warranty so probably not economically repairable unless I DIY

Isolation spigots what's wrong please

I've messed up my pump with latex rug backing so wanted to turn washing machine onto it's side clean out pump (following a video as I am clueless). I have turned the spigots the only way they will go. The blue spigot was an easy anti clockwise turn to the wall- would not turn in any other direction, the red just one won't go anything but clockwise towards the floor. I ran the machine and it still fills. Can someone please tell me what is wrong and is it alright to forget this and just go ahead and turn the machine and take out the pump anyway. I just don't want people in my house Thanks in advance.

Please help we are having such trouble with our washing machine it’s unreal!! We originally had a 9kg hoover and it was leaving excessive suds in the seal of the machine and in the clothing. We tried everything, cleaning the machine, washing the clothes with the smallest amount of detergent, running with no detergent, running on different cycles, running the machine on a hot 90 degree with vinegar then washing clothing, we had 2 repair men out. One saying our machine was perfectly clean (it was only just over a year old) and he couldnt recommend changing anything we are doing as we have done everything. We gave up and got a new machine after waiting weeks for a repa…

Heeeelllp!!! I am usually handy with keeping our washing machines going but this one is giving me nightmares. The serial number is wab28161gb/13 So, the washer would not drain. I removed the filter and found it blocked with a coin, hair bobbles and fluff. Removing the debris didn't work so I replaced the pump. The fault remained so delving deeper I discovered that the transistor that feeds the pump had blown. New board fitted...still faulty. I have checked the rubber sump with the ball in it...all clear. The drain hose & u bend...all clear. Supply the pump directly with 240v (via the loom from the board)...pumps out fine...so that tells me tha…

I have mystery orange stains on my laundry. They don't seem to look like rust stains like I've seen on this site. Can anyone advise? They mostly appear on my whites randomly, but the camera couldn't pick them up, these are the most noticeable photos I can find. TIA

Hi, I have a Hotpoint washer dryer. About a week ago it would not dry, the fan kicked up but would not heat. After testing the element with the multimeter it had blown. I fitted a replacement element and thermostat as it was giving some odd readings so assumed that had caused the element to go. It worked briefly when I was just testing it however when I came to get the clothes out at the end it was still wet and cold. Tried it again and it was blowing cold again. Tested the element and it had blown the replacement. Just after some advice on what to look for next, all wiring seems fine so I am assuming it’s a board fault?
