Hi I want to buy new bearings for my Indesit IWC 71450. I am looking on Amazon and the options are 30mm and 35mm. Any idea which it might be? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Genuine-Hotpoint-Indesit-Washing-C00202418/dp/B00KRE6GJS/ref=pd_sbs_3/257-9526858-6108147?pd_rd_w=5t7aS&pf_rd_p=a3a7088f-4aec-4dbd-97cc-9a059581fe7b&pf_rd_r=P57DWXG00JH2J1GDQ74W&pd_rd_r=dfda702a-8d08-4056-80da-6bda5f602814&pd_rd_wg=Y4teq&pd_rd_i=B00KRE6GJS&psc=1 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Washing-Machine-Bearing-Hotpoint-Indesit/dp/B003FTOYFA/ref=pd_sbs_1/257-9526858-6108147?pd_rd_w=npz68&pf_rd_p=a3a7088f-4aec-4dbd-97cc-9a059581fe7b&pf_rd_r=VSQ9SFA7AR9H69DGPHK0&pd_…

Hi Guys, thanks for accepting me to the forum. I had this light blinking on my machine. did the following: 1. checked water supply: OK 2. checked flow rate: OK 3. checked the filter: OK 4. checked the waste pump impeller for free movement: OK 5. checked the drain hose: OK the light still blinks. I took the power plug out again, took off the inlet hose (with the solenoid) from the faucet, and put it back up. I put the power plug back in, now the light went off. This made me suspect that maybe the solenoid is on the edge... Anyhow, I used the opportunity that the machine is out, to clean the water inlet assembly. took it off, cleaned it, a…

AEG L7WEG851R washer/dryer. This is about the third issue I've posted about for this machine; it hasn't served us well! I have checked advice articles and can't find anything about this specific issue. Background We discovered recently that the water was not actually getting hot, so I got busy with my multimeter and established that the heating element had no continuity. I've fitted a new one today and it's working - the water is hot. However during my testing I also removed what I think must be the humidity sensor, presumably for when it's drying. It goes into the back of the drum and has a probe on the end. Please correct me if this assumption is…

Ticking sound when drum rotates clockwise

I have a brand new Beko WER860541W. We’ve had it for a week. Today it’s developed a ticking sound when the drum turns clockwise that i can only describe as similar to a ticking clock that speeds up and slows down as the drum turns. Oddly when it spins at fast speeds, the sound goes away. Other than the sound it works perfectly. I was just wondering if anyone could hazard a guess at what it could be and if it’s worth getting the engineer out. Thanks.

Hi. I have a beko WMI 71641 that recently stopped draining. I replaced the pump to fix this. Since then I now have an issue where the water comes in to the machine to start filling the drum but appears to immediately be drained out via the outlet hose. I’ve checked the usual things - water pressure fine, water combining into detergent drawer ok, no pipe kinks, no filter blockages. The machine finally stops after a few mins with a tap with a line though it displayed. I know this implies no water coming in, but as I say I can see plenty of water is coming in…just can’t work out why it goes at ta Ishtar back out! any suggestions gratefully received. cheers …

BOSCH WVG30461GB WASHER/DRYER NOT DRYING 1 2

My Bosch WVG30461GB has twice in the last month stopped drying clothes, both times I've removed the top cover from the machine and pressed the small switch between the two green connectors in the photo which has reset the machine and solved the problem. I know how to fix it but don't know why the switch (presumably some sort of overheat safety device?) is tripping in the first place, can anyone help?

Excessive dust on clothes

Hi. Hoping someone can help me from going out of my mind. I have an LG front loader washer dryer. Even though I rarely use the dryer as I find it takes so long to dry clothes, I am really having a problem with what seems like excessive dust on my freshly cleaned clothes once dried (even line dried). It tends to be with stretchy materials more such as pants/socks/T-shirt’s etc. I’m conscious about not putting too much liquid/powder in, and not overloading the machine. I’m also conscious about not having it on the full 14000 spin incase that’s too harsh on the clothes but nothing seems to help and it becomes a little embarrassing when I’m out and whenever I move I puff with…

Hello, I have a Bosch WFG2420GB washing machine that stopped working during a wash, the' Ready' light started flashing and the door was unlocked. I think it was towards the end of the wash cycle on a 60 deg C cottons+linens setting. It still had all the water in the machine. When selecting and starting the drain function to get the water out of the machine it did not respond so I had to drain the water out of the machine with the drain hose under the front cover.I removed the pump cap and checked the pump for loose debris/fluff etc but did not find much at all. The pump impeller rotates Ok, so the pump cap has been put back on.I removed the drain hose off the back of the…

AEG LAV981 Drum Bearing Seal

I have two AEG Lavamt 981 washing machines which are still running. One is in neeed of a drum bearing change but I am struggling to obtain a replacement seal. I have tried Ransome Spares & a couple of other companies without luck. They claim not to have the necessary machine data, plate below. The twin lip seal is for a 35mm dia shaft & fits into a 78mm bore in the spider. There is an outer lip of 87mm diameter which contacts the steel outer drum. The original is Corteco 45-78/86-10.5/15 BAESLSFX7 It seems a shame not to repair this machine for the sake of an oil seal. These machines are so well made, they still work & l…

Hi, This is far above the FAQs and I cannot find a definite answer on this site, or elsewhere, so any advice would be useful and much appreciated Unwilling to pay Miele prices for a bearing seal on a W844 machine that is 20 years old and had had a very hard life, I used a compatible seal which appears to be of good quality. As I am currently in Italy, I used ebay as most UK suppliers will not post to Italy. As I was limited on choice, I used a high tack silicone grease (this product: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwievp7q0b3xAhXQCOwKHXqLCuoQFjABegQIFhAD&url=https%3A%2F…

We have a 7 year old Bosch Washer/Dryer machine. We typically use the dryer cycle only on towels. A complete wash/dry cycle can take over 4 hours so we set the timer at night and have soft warm & clean towels in the morning when we wake up. One night it stopped in the middle of a wash/dry cycle. The circuit breaker to the washer (and fridge) had popped. After resetting the breaker, the washer did not respond until the water was drained. The towels were still wet. A subsequent 2 hour intensive dry cycle made no difference. I like to fix things myself but I gave up trying to find helpful info on the internet. I swear that it is getting more difficult to find…

New world washing machine marking my clothes

Hi everyone, I’ve had my new world washing machine for a couple of months and it has started marking my clothes. It will only mark random items so some come out clean but others come out marked with dark brown/black spots. I’ve had the repairs guy come out and he says the washing machine was fine but that it could be a build up of fabric softener. I’ve cleaned my washer on a 90’c wash and it is still marking my clothes. Does anyone have any suggestions of what could be causing this. Would appreciate any advice or tips thanks joeleen

Hi all, we have an ISE W288 ECO, it is 8 years old. It has stopped mid cycle and says wash motor fault. I have emptied the water, checked the pump and tried to get it going again to no avail. Local engineer hasn't heard of ISE and says he won't come and look at it. And as ISE has now shut down, I don't know what to do. I really want to repair than scrap.

Miele W1 WSG663 Spring noise?

Hey, So i've had my Miele now for over 2 months and it's adopted a loud clangy spring noise on spin. I've had the engineer out and he blamed my flooring (Lino?) so it wasn't balanced. The machine doesn't actually move but the noise is still there. Has anyone had this issue and managed to resolve it? IMG_3965.MOV

Hi, I've become a home grown expert in the terrible joy of maintaining a Combi machine. Samsung Eco Bubble 8kg model. (WD80J6400AW) I frequently get the 5c error code, so I drain it and I take it apart and clean all the hoses and it normally works again. This time it didn't work so I guessed that the drain pump had finally given up. I referred to many videos as i haven't done this in many years. I cannot find any specific info for my model, or good info on combi's at all. But when I took the unit apart there's 2 pumps (DC31-00181A). I started a spin cycle and I could see that one pump worked. I swapped them over and sure enough neither worked, so that looks…

Indesit IWSC61051 faulty?

I just moved into a flat with an Indesit Washer (IWSC61051) Here's a quick summary of my problem: - The machine is very noisy (could be normal) - The timer delay 3 hr option is always activated (no matter what option I cycle to, and almost always I leave the option disabled) - As soon as I press start, one of the four timer delay icons is illuminated - usually the three hour one as shown in the videos I will share below. - The machine NEVER finishes a wash cycle. Eventually it will spin slowly, and keep spinning slowly for hours and hours and hours and never reaching the END state whereby the door can be opened. More detail: I've includ…

Motor stuck in high torque setting.

Hi, I have a BEKO WMB101433LW which is currently refusing to spin at all. After noticing that the drum is very stiff to turn manually by hand, I removed the belt and found it freewheeled loosely and that the motor pulley was the culprit. After removing the 3 pin connector plug from the motor (see attached pic) the motor goes to a loose freewheeling state, so it is the connecting of the wiring (cannot find any wiring diagrams or service manuals to identify wires) that is changing the torque setting of the motor. I removed and accessed the entire PCB section feeding the wires in that corner (motor, heating element etc) to see if I could see any blown capacitors…

Samsung eco bubble stops mid-wash

I bought a new Samsung eco bubble in 2016 and now it stops mid-wash and I have to start it manually again. It takes sometimes 5 hours to get through the eco wash. This shouldn't happen to a machine that is less than 5 years old? I had a Zanussi a few years ago that went for 15 years. I think these machines that are made today are all designed to fail in a short time. The last machine I had was a Bosch and it lasted 12 years (Bosch limit) Can anyone advise what may be the problem? PCB? It has to be an electronic problem as the water works are working fine.

My seven year old washer dryer seems faulty. Normally clothes are very dry after it’s very long wash and dry cycle. It’s a condensing washer dryer. I noticed clothes were still quite damp, dryer than a spin, but still not fully dry. I just tried a single t shirt in a quick wash and dry cycle and still very damp. Does anyone have any suggestions, other than buying a new one? I want to move soon so would sooner buy a new one when settled in new home so a repair would be great!

I have a washing machine that should be a model WF90F5E5U4W, but I bought it second hand, and I think there are some parts from a different machine as well (perhaps the electronics). I don't think the parts are wildly different, I suspect it's simply the same kind of machine with a different capacity. It will stop running in the middle of a wash cycle, none of the buttons work, and the display is off. After a few minutes or sometimes a few hours it will continue where it left off (and maybe turn off a few more times). I have the feeling that some cycles are less likely to cause problems than others, but that might be wrong (I had the feeling that cycles without heat …

Washing machine overfilling (Brandt WFU0511E)

Hello there! I have a Brandt washing machine, ancient, analogue and, until recently, going strong. The machine started sporadiacally overfilling which I put down to overloading the machine as I had to wash a couple of small rugs. However, the issue is now persisting on every wash and every cycle. I've taken off the vacuum trap and hose and tested and there are no air leaks in these parts. Blowing into the top of the hose when the drum is full results in bubbles in the water as expected. I've also tested the pressure switch during the fill cycle by blowing gently into the lower end of the hose and it shuts off the water, no problem. I've checked in the drain…

I have two Zanussi washing machines, one a 2006 model ZWF1221G, the other, a 2013 model ZWG6141P. Both wiill operate from either a CWST in the attic or mains. The 2006 model operates exactly as expected, a fill volume (empty) of ~ 16 Litres with a fill time of 259 secs on CWST fill and 114 secs on mains filling. However the 2013 model gives exactly the same fill time of ~ 125 secs on both CWST fill and mains fill with obviously a big difference in fill levels, I can't just now access the standpipe hose but on CWST fill the level is well below the d…

As above really. mrs called me and the washing machine gave up today its only 2.5 years old, she said it gave an error message so turned it off she was unable to tell me the code. I checked manual and unplugged it and left for 2 hours to discharge and reset but had made no difference. when i press the power button the machine clicks 3 times (a sort of soft relay click from the display area) and then the child lock symbol comes up for a couple secs and then it turns back off again, rinse and repeat nothing else happens no other display anyone have any ideas would be appreciated
