I know from this forum my AEG L7548WD is 10 years old (how time flies). It's been working fine, but I recently cleaned the front when it was off, not particularly vigorously I didn't think, but getting the dirt off the buttons because it sticks out in front of the countertops and they get dirty. This time I switch it on and it's on different setting to the ones I normally use, and in particular was stuck on drying with any setting, showing an Err when I tried to start it. After pressing several buttons, on off etc with the erroneous drying option always on, I was about to give up when I gave it one last try (switch off, firm pressing of all the buttons) and it seemed to '…

Based in UK... Bosch Varioperfect washing machines clothes are dripping wet after cycle is complete... spin fuction has to be used to get them dry / damp... even then the time remaining ticks down towards 1 minute left and then jumps up again to 7/8... so the spin cycle takes closer to 20 minutes rather than the 13 it should... can someone suggest what the problem might be???

Hi Folks. Our x3 month old AEG washing machine has an unfortunate damp smell coming from inside the drum. I think it might be my fault, having found Whitegoodshelp(Andy)'s link https://www.whitegoodshelp.co.uk/smells-caused-plumbing-faults/ in another thread regarding a U-bend in the drain pipe. Thought I'd check first before deciding what to do next. Picture below is the current set up, (self-install) includes dishwasher drain pipe marked 'DW' and Washing machine marked 'WM'. No U-Bend. Is this causing the bad smell and if so how do I go about fixing it based on my current under sink drain/pipe set up. Also, am I too late and potentially damaged my machin…

Hi. For some time now, our beko washing machine has had an intermittent leak that is impossible to locate. The machine appears to leak from underneath, unsure as to the point in the cycle. It appears to be clean water, not grey water and is free of froth etc. We don't use much washing powder as this causes the machine to froth up badly and leak from the drawer. So 2 issues really, both I've run out of ideas. Had a repair guy out this week who found a load of stuff in the drain, and cleared it out, but day after back to leaking. We can see no water marks on the front of the system. Posting here before I give up and dump the system. All external hoses tight, drain to sink a…

Hey guys So this machine has me puzzled. it works completely fine on a cold wash! All functions (wash soon drain etc) work okay on a cold wash. Only when trying to do a warm wash at any temperature do I get the following errors…. The cycle will start… but will fail on the first drain before the rinse cycle. It throws an E03 error which is a pump error. The pump is clean and free from any obstruction, also when I fill this machine up with water and empty it on a cold cycle it empties without any issue what so ever. anyway, immediately after throwing this error, if I try to put it on manual spin it throws an E16 error indicating an issu…

We have a model: WW90K5413UX - 5 years old. 4 months ago the heater stopped working so I replaced it. It stopped working again recently. Replaced it again today. 5 minutes later it's blown again. The heater wasn't officially for this model but it's 230V and 2000W. Are there any other differences in those elements? What else could be causing the heater element to be fried within 5 minutes?

Hi, My (ancient) washer/dryer won't properly go into spin mode - it just does the general "tumble" action when it is supposed to be spinning. Clothes thus come out sopping wet. First thing seems to be to check the filter. Where is it? It doesn't seem to be under the panel near the floor, which seems to be not removable. Anybody have any ideas?

I’ve got an AEG LFR94946WS and it worked fine yesterday but today when I’ve gone to use it it’s filled up with water but the drum doesn’t move. The machine doesn’t display any errors and after a couple of minutes resets itself. I took the back off the machine and the belt is fine (plus the machine is only 5 months old). I’ve booked a warranty repair but it’s nearly two weeks away and I’ve currently got a sick toddler who is going through clothes and bedding almost as fast as I was washing them. Is there a way to get some kind of error report on these machines or even factory reset them in case of a software error? It just seemed odd that there wa…

Hi all I have a 16 year old AEG (its also badged Electrolux) L50600 Lavamat Washer which has behaved perfectly for us through constant use. A couple of years ago I changed the carbon brushes on the motor when it stopped working but apart from that its never missed a beat. Recently however it started behaving a little strangely. The key issue being that it stops mid cycle. After a lot of investigation it seems as though it stops whenever it starts to vibrate or shake more than normal (or the controller thinks it should) - which is usually at the start of the spin cycle, but sometimes also during a wash or rinse cycle when it seems to fire up for an agitation a…

Hi everyone, We have had an issue with our washing machine smelling when on a dry cycle, wash has been ok, although a little bit smelly. Got round to removing the seal today to deep clean it and noticed the vent thing (with a fan in) is clogged up with mould. The vent seems to be in 2 parts, bonded together with some sort of sealant. Any tips on this? Can I prize it apart and reseal? Or does anyone have any tips for cleaning it without prizing the top and bottom part of? I can't actually remove the fan/pump without separating the unit, otherwise I'd just bleach the thing The mould seems to have spread down into the drum, for which I have scraped ou…

Shut door, pressed start - staccato injections of water then none. Fiddled, shook - more water. But in general, door security light just flashes and nothing - I hear interlock engage and disengage So I swapped interlock from another machine- result the same -occasionally some water goes in mostly the security light remain flashing. (the interlock works fine in the other machine). Next I thought perhaps it's the catch/door. So I swapped door from other machine. First item I switched it on some water went in but then stopped and back to the same. Doro works fine on other machine. It seems as though the inlets are working - I suppose they coudl be fau…

Hi I have a number of questions about this, every little bit helps Its not drying, the condenser water valve isn't operating. When its running a drying cycle there are no volts on the valve. I expected the volts to cycle on while drying and off while the pump extracts what has collected in the drum. is that right? What voltage should I see on the valve? The control board is a gv7-2838360101 Terma_MB_G09 (both numbers read off the PCB). The valve looks like its powered via an unmarked surface mount transistor under the board. Any idea what this device is? This is my daughters machine, she's on hols next week and will be using the washer till…

Hello, I am looking for help with Bosh Serie 6 from 2018. It doesn't drain even after cleaning of the filter and tubes. I also replaced the pump, but all pumps the old and new behave the same way. They twitch back and forth a few times and then the program counties as if it was working. No error code. What could be the problem? PXL_20231025_102418958.TS~4.mp4

hi guys as per the title i have a candy Rapido (wifi) that's just started randomly gave an e20 fault. after the usual google search i was directed to a drainage issue. i attached the drain hose to a bucket and run the washer again to see it emptied perfectly the pump is clean the pipes are free of blockage including the drain from the drum to the pump. at no point dose the drum turn at all though so im thinking the controller is having some sort of sense issue maybe its not aware the drainage pump is working so its not moving on in the program. the issue is the pump only has two wires so it cant be the pumps fault it has to be something at the controller…

Advice needed, how difficult is this repair? A bra wire has gone behind the drum, there is no sight or feel of it from the inside of the drum. As I rotate the drum the ticking noise stays in the same place, in the 11 o’clock area. The back of the washer requires a tool to remove, a tool I haven't got. I have taken the bottom front part off and the top lid. My question here is can I do this myself if I get the tool to remove the back? Or should I get an engineer in? Thanks in advance

Motor/Engine will not drive the drum. Removed belt, motor attempts to move approx 5 mins of a clock face in each direction then a burst of speed and free runs to a stop. Removed the motor, armature and field show between 1.0 & 3.0 Ohms. But sensor shows 114 Ohms where think it should be approx 3.0 Ohms. Are these sensors replaceable if this appears to be the fault ?

Hi, my washing machine started making a loud noise while spinning this morning, in fact it wouldn't spin until it only had a half load. I've taken it out and disconnected the belt. It makes a scraping noise when you just turn the drum slowly. Is this bearings or possibly something else. I can't see anything obviously broken. Thanks. 20231018_112248.mp4

Hello and I hope you can help. This machine has worked well for a couple of years. WDR7543121 After a combined wash and dry cycle the clothes came out clean but soaking wet, really wet, you could wring water out of them. As the machine had been left for a few hours after the cycle finished before the door was opened I can't say anything about the temperature. We have run test cycles on the 30 min drying cycle. The clothes were just damp to touch when put in. If the cycle was interrupted at 15 minutes the clothes were drying, they were warm and no wetter than when put in. At the end of the cycle they were warm and soaking wet, water…

Hoping I can find someone far more knowledgable than I am here! I've been asked by my sister to look at her pride and joy Samsung WW80j5555FX washing machine as it's started to stop mid cycle during the wash cycle. Have googled this problem and have found a lot of references to this and other Ecobuble machines suffering from failure of the main pcb, likley as a result of frcatured solder joints due to the new lower melting point solder being used now in manufacturing. My initial advise to her was to give the machine several long hot washes with no laundry and only white vinegar added to the wash. This worked for me on my own machine, a lot older Zanussi ma…

Miele inner drum is rubbing on door seal seems to be getting worse. No play sideways or back to front on inner and outer drum. Inner drum looks to be slightly proud of outer drum. I suspect its still a bearing issue anyone else had this problem?

Have searched FAQs and topics, but found no reference to this problem. Old seal distinctly worn. Slight grey rubber deposits on drum rim If seal removed, drum rotates smoothly. No bearing noise. No distortion of drum opening. Drum lies centrally in tank opening. New seal fitted, then drum dificult to rotate because of friction with seal. Drum seems to be forward of the correct position. Drum edge aligns precisely with edge of tank opening. Any guidance welcome.

Hi All! Great forum!..... We have this almond and brown coloured WM51A, had it from new since before the new millenium, and like to hang onto it 'cos the colour matches the kitchen colourscheme, so I've just completed it's 5th drum bearings renewal. Also needed a new porthole door (brown) and I was pleasantly surprised that Hotpoint still had them in stock 👍 also a new door seal - the last one was a pattern one and only lasted 2 years, so this time I sourced a GENUINE Hotpoint one cheaply - think the stockists are trying to get rid of old stocks now. Anyway, with it in bits, I noticed that the front panel, directly below the soap dispenser drawer is beginning to bubble …

Hello everyone! My Whirpool AWM 5043 – 400 washing machine randomly stops working mid cycle. If I manually then go and rotate the knob, the washing machine continues. Here you can see the washing machine while stopped mid cycle: If I rotate the knob towards B, the washing machine continues its program cycle. If anyone could give me some insight, I would be more than helpful. Thank you in advance!
