I just did a normal wash, nothing different than usual. When the spin got faster it made an almighty banging sound. When it finished, the clothes were soaking wet and there were bits of thin white plastic all over the clothes. The drum doesn't feel particularly loose but there is a lot more resistance, and grinding when you try to manually spin it. Grateful for any ideas before I book an engineer. Thank you

Hello, thanks for reading my post. I have a Miele W5872 edition 111, but have a problem in that the washing comes out soaking. I've noticed during the final spin cycle, at some point towards the end, water is injected into the drum - which I'm guessing shouldn't happen. We have to therefore run another spin at the end of each wash, and it is then fine. I've taken the machine apart and cleaned out all pipes - which were fairly clogged up. I also spotted that it uses a part which I've researched as the 'non return brake valve'. This is internal to the machine and located the point where the external waste pipe connects. It also connects an internal pipe to th…

My AEG L76850 washing machine from 2007-2009 gives me an "E10" error. According to the manufacture the error is about the water intake. When starting a wash, it hums loudly and takes in a tiny bit of water (confirmed on the water meter to the house). When 10-15 minutes has passed it gives the E10 error. When I press the start button it tries to take water in again. After 1-2 hours of clicking on the start button, it reaches a point where the water intake works - water is flowing through like a waterfall. During the wash it drains water and takes in a fresh supply of water - maybe several times. The water intake works here too. After a wash ha…

Hello everyone 😀 My hotpoint washing machine has begun making an odd low humming noise, it can be heard even when the drum is not spinning and only happens towards the start of the washing cycle, maybe when it is heating up the water? After those initial stages, after the water has heated up (can feel warmth through the door) it stops making that noise. I have recorded it, listen out for the noise between the spins at the start and end of the video. The noise is constant in the video, but you won't hear it when the drum is spinning as that louder noise hides it. Does anyone know what this is please? Is it a sign that something is about to go w…

My Hotpoint WT540 washing machine only spins on the fastest cycle, even when a slower setting is selected on the dial. Can this be fixed easily?

We got this second hand Miele. Sadly on some cycles the timer stops and cycle carries on until stopped. There’s also a bit of unusual sound on spin, it’s not very loud and doesn’t occur all the time. Kinda like there’s something loose there maybe. Any idea if this can be fixed and how much it would cost? Hopefully not as much as new machine What’s the best to use for descaling? Can I use critic acid ?

hi I got this machine just over a year ago it's worked great until about a week ago! The last time it was used it finished its cycle no problem. I put a load in the machine and when you turn it on all the lights and digital display flash it all gradually goes dimmer and the machine does nothing! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as indesit wasn't interested as its over a year old.

Our washing machine has a max spin speed of 1500. We regularly use the Cottons programme (which would enable 1500 spin speed at the end) and we have noticed recently that the machine does not spin at its fastest during this (or any) of the programmes. Once a programme has ended we find that we then have to run the Drain/Spin programme separately and only then does the machine spin at its fastest 1500. I wonder if anyone can advise why the machine chooses to spin slower using the built in programmes - whereas I am sure it spun faster previously? We have done the basics such as ensuring machine properly balanced and filter regularly cleaned etc.

Daughter visited us last Christmas "bought some washing down if thats OK?" - yeah no problem. Put it in the washing machine and done a wash . She takes her washing out and says "oh thats strange the clasp part is missing off me bra!" - Oh I says I bet its come off in the machine somewhere "thats OK" she says "it was an old one, don't worry about it, I will get another one" Well I worried about it because it wasnt inside the drum. and i thought about it stuck somewhere between inner and outer wash drum and what damage it could do ,, or be doing! Since Christmas I have cleaned the pump filter every month as normal , nothing but the normal hair and fluff on the fil…

Amana Washer Tandem 7300, NFW7300WW01 Intermittent problem: stops on Drain or Rinse cycle with F1E1 error. Not only intermittent but becoming more frequent Looking for suggestions Have done the following but problem persists: Thorough cleaning of the pressure tube, air chamber, and big rubber boot that connects chamber to the drum. There was a lot of greasy build up so hoped this would fix the problem but it did not. The drain pump seemed to work fine but was quite noisy so replaced it with a new one, but did not fix the problem. Replaced all three relays on the Central Control Unit CCU, part number WPW10525367. Thought this mig…

I have an Ikea Renlig machine (made by Electrolux I believe) from 2015. The belt started to come off so I replaced it by a new one but that didn't help. In the end I found out that the reason is a loose drive pulley. The drive pulley wobbles which makes the belt come of affter a couple of spins. It has also a bit of play in it when turning it in alternating directions. I can't figure out what part is causing this. The shaft seems to be a bit dented right where the metal plate in the drive pulley is attached, but in a way that I'm not sure if it's just how it's manufactured. See some pictures below. Any advice would be really appreciated.

I have a Bosch Varioperfect 4 and until yesterday I've had no issues with it. After a regular cotton wash cycle, the machine hung on 1 minute remaining and just sloshed the laundry and water around the drum with no drainage. This continued for at least 20 minutes. I turned the machine off and drained through the front-panel hose. I also opened the filter which was full of water but otherwise no physical blockage. I then ran a 15-minute superquick wash cycle which worked fine, and I could see it draining (I can physically see the output outside my house). I then put on another regular cotton cycle and again it hung on 1 minute remaining for at least 10 minut…

Hi. Thanks for looking at this and for any advice...... Basically I tried, unsuccessfully to replace the heater element on my Hotpoint WMFUG842G. Somehow (me banging it) the seal has been pushed inside the drum and there is no way now for me to remove the heater. I've tried my hardest to pull it out with no success. While trying to lever it out with pliers I managed to chip the actual plastic of the drum that the seal fits into so am now worried that if I do manage to remove and replace the heater it may leak. I accept that I may have to pay someone to repair it (if it's possible to repair) but don't want to pay someone to tell me it's a write off. …

Hoover VT 714 D23 - Error 3 My hoover has been displaying error 3 (unable to drain) when running any warm water cycle. It works without problem on cold cycle. The drum fully drains on any cycle without problem. The pump is fully clear and functional. The tube connecting to the pressure sensor is also clear and without obstruction. My guess is that the extra heat (pressure) from a warm water cycle is triggering the pressure sensor. Is the pressure sensor faulty? Could a new sensor fix the problem?

Hello. I have an Electrolux/Husqvarna QW14692 washing machine. When set to any wash cycle that isn't cold, it stops mid way through the wash, with the counter suddenly going down to 1 and then 0 minutes. It allows me to open the door even though there is water in the drum. No error code is shown. It appears this happens after the first stage of the wash cycle (after 5-10 minutes). If the machine is set to cold the cycle completes. Draining and spinning also work when selected as individual cycles. I've removed the heater element and tested both it and the temperature sensor with a multimeter. They both appear fine. Any idea what could be wrong? Thanks.

My washing machine is starting to fill but then stopping. Error Code is 52. I have tried replacing, tacho, carbon brushes, motor but none seem to remove the code. All wiring looks to be intact. Is there anything else I can try?

I have an AEG ÖKO-LAVAMAT 72640 Update washing machine, 2003 vintage, which means that it is now 20 years old. A fault has developed and I am trying to determine whether it is worth calling someone out or whether I should just call it a day and buy a new washing machine. The fault manifests itself by fault code E10 on the display and the RINSE+ indicator flashes. This occurs after the washing cycle but before the rinse cycle starts. Basically, the machine hangs and no water flows for the first rinse. I’ve been through the trouble shooting causes in the User Information booklet, but none of them apply. I have tried stopping the programme at the point where it han…

Hi. Does anyone know what could be the issue here? Our washing machine works fine, except when I start a wash, it sounds like it’s attempting to pull the water into the washing machine several times before actually fill up. (Not sure if this is useful information but we live in a 1970 block, we have a dishwasher and washing machine attached one pipe using a splitter. (not a plumber so might not be explaining this well)) Thanks! FullSizeRender.MOV

Hi My machine stopped spinning, it was trying to but just kept jerking, then when I done a diagnostic test, 3E2 came up. When I calibrated 3E came on the display. After checking all the connections, I have noticed today, when I turn the drum by hand there is clicking sound which sounds like it's coming from the PCB board. If it's the motor Samsung said it's under guarantee but ends 1st April but still have to pay the labour costs. This machine has already had 2 PCB boards replaced and although during a chat with a Samsung person I wasn't filled with much confidence, I did like this machine as it 11kg so fits a quilt in nicely, could you give me any advice please.

My hoover washing machine came up with (E02), so googled and it said either filter was blocked or the water inlet valve was faulty, checked filter which was ok so replaced inlet valve but will still only will fill with water on a rapid wash or rinse setting. Tried resetting the machine, checked soap tray still nothing, it's a Hoover H-wash 300 lite 10kg 1400 spin model no H3W410TE/1-80. Don't really want to pay for an engineer to come out as its only just over a year old if its a simple fix , any ideas or advice would be really appreciated thanks. Graz

Hi all, My Hoover VT815D22x has been leaking, pooling water from the underside of the machine. On looking inside, I can see there is a trail of water coming from near the bolt holding the weight to the underside of the drum (above the drain hoses). I haven't been able to find any trail of water from further up visible from the underside or with the back of the machine taken off. There does not appear to be an issue with the drain hoses themselves. I also cannot see there's an issue with the door seal. I have not been able to investigate any further yet but does anyone have any ideas where this might be coming from?

Hello, I have a Samsung washing machine and yesterday it decided it no longer wants to run a cycle. It sounds like it's trying to get going but makes a small almost straining noise and runs a sequence again. It does this on loop until I turn it off and the mains. I tried running diagnostic but I just get -: as a display. I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong here? I turn the machine off, and turn it back on again holding whilst the third and fourth button from left down. When I try and turn the drum it has resistance and almost jitters as I turn it. However, if I disconnect the motor from the PCB the drum and motor turn smoothly again. Plug the conn…

Hey Guys, My washing machine kept throwing h2o errors on start up. There was no water getting to the machine. I went ahead and replaced the solenoid and water seems to be getting to the machine. Problem is it throws this h2o error every few minutes. I've attached a video of this. Any help would be hugely appreciated Thanks 🙏 Snapchat-2140461546.mp4
