I have a ZWD1262W. It works fine as a washing machine. However if I try to use the drying function it will initially work (run, air heats up etc) but where I set the drying time equal to or greater than 6 minutes then on count down the machine will stop and the led lights flash. When looking at the diagnostics it shows a control board fault. (If I set the drying time less than 6 minutes all is ok. The machine will also reset OK and function until again a drying time of more than 6 minutes is selected and on countdown the same fault occurs) I tried a new heater but this didn't make any difference (thought perhaps an earth fault). I have found a replacement pcb (…

Hi please can someone help, I am trying to find out what component Q14 is on the above control pcb of an indesit wixxe 127 machine, I don’t have a schematic, don’t know if Q14 is a triac or transistor because it’s completely shot. The pcb number is 0912150097701 Q14 is near J4 at the rear of the pcb where the plug for the door lock plugs in. Thank you

Hello all, After following these excellent instructions from @bob12241 and @jonboyuk, I have tested the D7 diode (faulty) and will be replacing it to try to get my Beko WDIR7543101 going again. At the same time, I thought i'd have a go at fixing the long-standing problem with the dryer and was hoping for some help. The issue is that it cuts out after a few minutes of running. I've not used it in over a year now but since I had the machine open and multimeter in hand, here's the readings I got from testing the following parts: A. Element: 39.8 ohms B. Thermostat/Cutout 1: 0.01 ohms C: Thermostat/Cutout 2: 0.01 ohms D: Motor: 46.1 ohms These reading…

Hi, I hope someone can help on this one. Got an old Whirlpool belt driven washing machine. I checked the belt and it's on good condition. The belt will spin the shaft without catching in either direction. The drum inside doesn't move when doing this. The water will fill and drain going through the cycles and the agitator works. The motor sounds like it's working while trying to spin, if I have my timing and cycles down right. I think the big indicator of the problem may be that the drum inside is locked in place. I would use the word seized up. It doesn't seem to want to move either direction nor will it tilt or give to one side or the other as I normally have seen all …

Not having much luck lately, acquired the above washing machine and the thing wont fill, the unit has a triple inlet and the valves serve the door jet (working) the pre wash part of the drawer (working) and the main powder part and the drum (not working) I eventually get an ie error which is a water inlet eeror Everything else works the drum is sound and it drains okay. I therefore deduce that the inlet valve is cream crackered and buy a new one, only it's doing exactly the same as before..bugger! Is this likely a control board problem? The damn thing works when it gets enough water in it eventually but this is by only the softener jet and door j…

Hello, It is my first post here, and I hope I will find some help about this matter. I have this washing machine Bosch WVG30461GB, which started acting up a while back. So I'd click on the start button, after having selected the program, the door would click once and then click again, the machine would beep twice, the lock icon won't come on and the machine won't start. It used to be intermittent, and in the instances where it didn't start, retrying a few times usually got it working again. About a week ago the issue became permanent, no matter how much I retry the issue persists. After having checked the obvious things, including no blockages or …

https://youtu.be/fj8D0YTfnB0 Hello and thank you for this forum. My PANASONIC NA-140VG3 developed a grinding noise about 6 months ago and is getting worse all the time. It had a new drum and logic board at 5 yrs old under warranty, and now 3 years further at 8 yrs old this issue. It is a very loud grinding noise that occurs when the water is injected into the drum with the side jet on the top right corner of the drum. It does NOT make a noise evacuating the waste water or while spinning. The noise appears to be coming from the pump in bottom left corner, but like I say no noise doing waste water. Drum drive bearings and motor are fine. I've cleaned the pu…

I've been through the common problems and I seem to have the reverse issue... Our machine will spin (if it manages to get to that part of the cycle), but it seems to have issues with agitation (almost as if is slipping). I have replaced the belt but the issue still persists. Putting it on just a spin, it does a weird sort of jerky agitation as if it can't turn the drum successfully, sometimes it manages to get past this bit and go into a normal spin, but sometimes it doesn't.

Hello Andy I hope you are well. I haven’t been on this forum for a while. If you remember just over two years, I had many problems with several brand new washing machines which made life difficult, to put it mildly. My current washing machine has been good to me for the past two years – up until recently. It’s an 8kg Bosch Series 6 washer. I have been running the same two programs in the same order for the past two years with no problems. The programs I run are a full 60 degrees cotton wash cycle, which runs for two hours and ends with a 1200 final spin, followed by a separate 800 spin cycle, which runs for 13 minutes. I use the machine about 2 to 3 times a we…

Hi, I have a Candy GVS168D3 Washing Machine. Whenever I start a program, water keeps pouring into the dispenser section and doesn't stop until I take out the plug. I have run the diagnostic program by turning the wheel two to the left and holding options, then pressing start. There is no error code and only shows 888. I have tried cleaning the top of the dispensor draws but still nothing. It comes out of the far left side (where the 2 is) if that makes any difference. Since it stops when the plug is out, I suspect that this is an issue with the PCB / computer in the washing machine. Is there anyway to reset this or fix it without getting…

Good afternoon, I have an Indesit IWME127 integrated washing machine that’s only just over two years old. The drum became very stiff to turn, and makes a loud metallic scraping noise when you try to do so by hand. I have watched various videos on this and it seems that, in order of probability, it could be: (a) a foreign object physically jamming the drum; (b) a drum bearing fault; or even (c) a damaged spider that holds the drum bearing (I had this problem before on a much older example of a similar model). Would I be able to tell which is the case by removing the back? In that case, as it’s a fitted (integrated) type and I haven’t had it out yet, what …

14 months old. Woke up to find completely dead. Checked the obvious FUSES/WALL SOCKET/SPUR/TRIP tested the obvious.. Another device in the plug socket..etc. Opened it up, as I own a multimeter (although no expert). Check for continuity between the plug (with it unplugged) to the PCB boards and even control panel board. They are OK. No visual burn marks or burnt components either, such as resistors or capacitors. Tested the ON/OFF switch on the board.. came back OK. Contacted a guy selling washing machine parts, he advised to turn off the machine, then hold spin and then hold the ON/OFF button and it will give error codes.. Does nothing for me…

Hi. I have a hoover washer dryer VHW854. it’s been going well considering it’s age but the dryer packed In recently ive replaced the heating element and the heater motor which snapped off from vibrations. All went well until the next wash. It is heating fine but the vibrations snapped the Dryer motor off the top of where the upper heating element is. I can’t seem to get screws that will keep it fixed? i suspect there’s two issues: 1) how to reduce the vibrations (I’ve tightened the bolts on the concrete). Do internal shock absorbers exist? 2) how to keep the motor attached? sorry I am a novice on this. Any ideas would…

Hi, Not sure if this is the right place for this question, but any help would be appreciated. Is it OK to put in a heating element of a different size to the old one, if the voltage is the same? I have been told to replace a heating element with a smaller one that was provided. I’m thinking that it would take longer to heat with a smaller element. But then the voltage is the same.

Apologies for too many words but some background is relevant: Two years ago we made a huge mistake of replacing our Bosch washer/dryer with a Miele. For months we have been plagued by foreign matter/bits of debris in the machine after a cycle. We recently had to get a Miele engineer our as the dryer fan had seized. The removed part looked like it was 20 years old and seized solid. It beggars belief that Miele could design a machine that would run with a fan seized and not display an error message, that's what they have done. Miele customer service and website is an embarrassment to them. Today, the machine works OK but we still get some sort of gritty residue after a wa…

Hello everyone, I'm at my witts end with this problem and have come to the conclusion... I need help with this one. The problem I am having is = The drum won't spin. Events leading up to the failure= Spinning absolutely fine, then a loud decreasing whining (like a turbine failing) then no function of the motor. Explanation of what the machine is doing after the event= The machine turns on and I can set the program that I want it to run absolutely fine, it will begin the cycle that I have set, the machine will start pumping in water and the extraction pump will kick in to remove any waste water sitting in the pipe. After this it does nothing, no spin or…

My son has a Beko wm6110 washing machine. The seal around the door split, so he fitted a replacement seal. During this, a part dropped from the on/off switch, which seemed to vanish into the ether... He has bought and fitted another on/off switch, but since fitting this, the fuse in the "socket" (it's hard-wired into it's own box on the wall, with a switch above the work-top) keeps blowing. He suspects the switch may be wired up wrongly, as nothing else has been disturbed. With the mains power off at the circuit breaker on the mains distribution board, he changed the 13A fuse in the "socket" box. When resetting the circuit breaker, and switch on at the w…

I've read the help files and listened to the spin noises, plus a few spin noise on other topics, doesn't quite sound like mine. The machine is 2 years and 9 months old. Here's a video of the noise. Quite simply - is this the bearing going/gone? https://photos.app.goo.gl/Q7D37LGgmmDvPm6v9 Thanks, Jason.

Hello, I'm Having trouble with my indesit wixxe127, it wouldn't start the cycle then display "door" , pulled the door lock off and it was burned at the connector so I have replaced the lock with a new one and rewired the connections but it still has the same problem, if I bypass the door lock the red padlock lights up and it starts up for about 1 second then stops, is this likely a faulty main pcb?

I have a Maxx7 Washing Machine that is about 4/5 years old. A few months ago it started stopping during a wash with an F17 error. Pressing the start button the wash continues until the end. Then it started happening a few times a wash, bringing the temperature down to 20 from 40 degrees lower the number of times the F17 appeared but it is still very annoying. So after researching the error codes I checked the water inlets, not blockages, filters not blocked, water pressure seemed just fine. Replaced inlet valve, replaced pressure sensor and even changed the heating element (probably should not have listened to that advice). Anyway, none of it made any diffe…

hi - my washing machine has been playing up for a while now. Part way through a standard cycle it will end the cycle (usually about 20 mins in) and drain the machine. If it try a spin cycle it might spin full tilt or might just spin slowly. A rinse cycle might fully complete or get to ten minutes from the end and just keep drum spinning fairly slowly with no water for ever. And if i unplug it and leave it overnight then it will work fine for one load before going back to stopping part way through a cycle. I've checked everything i can think of - no blockages or leakages that i can find, the re-circulation and drain pumps seem fine, plenty of meat on the bushes of the mo…
