Hello every one I am new to your forum, Could some one help with any service info for my Wilkins Servis model S mk15, I purchased the machine a few months ago for my mother to use, it was the first electric powerd washer she had. I have completed about 80% of the work needed to get the machine back to showroom standard, I have repainted it in the red and white limited edition colours, it is still in bits but looks very good, I am having problems trying to find a replacement lid for the tub that keeps the water hot while the machine is washing, so if any one has got photos of the lid veiwed from above and below the lid I will fabricate a new one if I can no…

HI, We have a less than 2 year old Beko WMI71641 washing machine that has developed a strange attitude. If one starts a wash and you immediately realise that you have the setting on the wrong cycle, then it's almost impossible to get the machine to switch wash cycles. The manual says just press (and hold) the Start/Pause/Cancel button for 3 seconds and the machine will stop, Whilst a short press causes the machine to PAUSE (so the button contacts are working) this longer press is ignored. Switching the machine off (with the OFF button) and waiting for the door lock to be released and then restarting the machine has no effect. It just resumes the wrong wa…

Hello all, My four year old bosch washing machine started acting weird just two days back. During the spin session it started spinning faster than usual while making weird noises. I could see smoke coming out as i opened the washing machine door. This all started two days after my mom washed a heavy blanket ignoring my advice. I called the support guys and they said the drum needs to be changed which is expensive. I just wanted make sure if its really the drum or some other minor problem since they didn't even come and check. Manually rotating the drum, i could hear a squeaky sound caused by some friction. Please let me know if changing drum is the only solution. Thank yo…

I need to remove the door on my Bosch WAS24466GB. Two screws hold the hinge in place. Is it safe to remove them or will nuts, or whatever is on the other side, fall inside? I would rather not have to remove the front cover.

Hi this is my first post so please bear with me! Was recrntly given a 2 year old fully working bosch WAQ284SOGB machine I transported it without the transit bolts it now vibrates/moves at beginning of spin but doesn't seem too bad at full speed drum bearings are good the springs/dampers are all intact as are the concrete weights I have used a spirit level to insure it sits level on a tiled concrete floor it seems the drum is moving excessively? It works perfectly if no washing in the drum, thanks in advance

My Miele W980 WPS washing machine is about 20 years old & was working perfectly until last weekend . I had it on timer and when I came down there were three red bars on the display and the red check inlet light was flashing. We disconnected the WPS box from the tap and connected it all up again...plus we found & fixed a leak on the isolation valve leading to the tap & had to turn the main stopcock on & off a few times The next wash worked perfectly, but yesterday there was only a dribble of water coming into the dispenser, the WPS box was humming slightly and the red inlet light was flashing again. I'd be very grateful for any suggestions. Thanks

Hi all, My first post so thanks for any help I get in sorting out my problem. I have a AWM900, model variant 8570 084 15002, which is a American style washing machine which is larger than the standard sized UK machine. It was classed as semi-professional and rated to 25 loads per week but it has been used solely in a domestic setting and it really hasn’t had a super hard life although the machine is now around 12-15 years old. Recently the machine has been giving an intermittent fault code of FH which as far as I can ascertain means that there is insufficient water in the machine. The issue is really frustrating as the machine can do multi washes and not h…

We've had this washing machine for 15 years and apart from the door seal and motor brushes, it has always worked perfectly. Lately it started behaving erratically. During the rinse cycle when it usually tries to balance the load, it revs up very quickly for 1 or 2 seconds and then stops revving altogether. This "cycle" repeated every 30 seconds and needless to say, the rinsing was not completing properly. That is issue one. Issue two: We usually used the max 1000rpm speed during winter and 800 during summer. The spin cycle revved up and then down for a second or two and then up again. This continued until the spin cycle ended and sometimes we had to use the Spin…

Askoll Pump

Hi I'm trying to fix my Indesit IWME126 which needs a replacement pump. The current (broken) pump installed is an Askoll M254 but I'm struggling to find this as a spare part for less than £48. There are other Askoll pumps that visually look the same for a lot less. Does anyone know if there are any alternative part numbers I can use to repair my machine cheaper? Thanks

Hi, first time poster and problem solver. The machine in question managed to tangle up the bedsheets resulting in an unbalanced load. The OH let the load continue and as a result the machine bounced out of the space and turned 90 degrees. It also burst the door seal and caused a scrape in the glass. I didn't see it but it must have sounded like an earthquake. Since then the machine has an excessive vibration during the spin. The machine is level and does not move when spinning, the drum shakes from side to side but on rotating it by hand their is no bearing grind or thump and whant moving it forward and backwards their is no gapping between the seal and …

Our Hotpoint washing machine runs through its wash cycle fine. We then leave it to auto power off as pressing the power on/off button on the machine doesnt work. When we come to use it again it wont power on. We have powered off the socket on the wall, unplugged and plugged back in, swapped to using a different wall socket using a known working extension lead. Still wont power on. The only thing that works is to swap the fuse in the plug. It then works fine until next time. We then have to put the original fuse back in and it powers on again without pressing the button. Currently we have 2 working fuses on rotation. Am i right in thinking the iss…

Hi everyone, My Samsung SW50USP top load washing machine is not filling up. The water supply has enough pressure and I cleaned the filters already. I tried checking the voltage at the water valve solenoid but there is no voltage. Next, I thought the problem might be coming from the pressure switch but when I fill up the machine manually with water, the cycle continue to operate normally so it makes me think that the pressure switch is functional. Unfortunately, I don't have a continuity meter to test the solenoid as advised in the troubleshooting guide, do you think it's worth investigating deeper an issue with both the solenoids even though there isn't an…

Hi, I have a LG washer dryer, model number F1480YD, approx. 6 years old, which has become completely lifeless. It had been working fine until a few days ago when I tried to open the door when the machine was still in a cooling down phase at the end of a drying cycle. The door would not open because the interlock prevented its opening while the machine was still on. I must have done this dozens of times in the past with no harm done but on this occasion there was a "popping" sound from inside the machine, the entire front panel display (every led) briefly lit up and then went off. Since then the machine appears to be completely dead. I have done all the basi…

We have an Indesit IWDC6125 UK washing machine. A few days ago it kicked off the fuse on the switch board and we couldn't open the door. I have managed to open the door from inside and remove the door-lock. I have opened up the lock and it was burned inside. I have ordered a replacement door-lock. I fitted the new lock and after the door is closed the washing machine starts the program (let some water in) for a few second and stop. The other issue is that as soon as you plug in the washing machine the door lock is powered so if you close the door it locks without starting a program.

Hi, After solving my drain filter removal problem (https://www.washerhelp.co.uk/forums/topic/2607-miele-w2444-removing-the-drain-filter/ I now have a new set of faults 1. When I start a cycle, about 15 seconds or so into the main wash the check inlet light starts flashing. After about 10 seconds or so the light stops flashing. The cycle continues.... 2. At the end of the wash, it stops with the check drain and checks inlet lights both flashing. I think it stops before the spin cycle but could be earlier as I was not watching at this stage. The spin cycle has not happened as items are still very wet. Its possible that there was no rinse either …

Hi, my washing machine started giving code E20, and I read that this is the filter being blocked. I managed to drain some of the water out of it into bowls using the drain/spin cycle, but the filter won't come out. The white flat front part comes out but the black filter part won't turn at all. I have broken the lugs trying to get the blooming thing out! I don't mind having to buy a new filter / pump (I see you have links for this, thank you) but how will I get the thing out in the first place? I read your article, and just want to clarify - I have someone else tip it backwards, take off the bottom panel and then I should see the pump? Then if anything is in there I …
