I am looking to replace the hinge on my Bosch Exxcel 8 VarioPerfect. The hinge seems readily available but I am unable to work our how to take the door apart. In the past doors used to have a series of screws for fixings and the door could be separated by removing these. However I notice that the door surround on this machine doesn't have any screws. Instead there are round plastic discs with a hole in the centre. Are these factory moulded / fitted permantly or can these be removed somehow? Or have am I over thinking it and I simply need to prise the door apart?
Please help! The wash has finished, the water is pretty much gone, but the door won’t open! The handle is on the outside and is a bit loose so defo think it’s the handle/mechanism inside. My housemate is away at the moment and want to try and fix it! I tried waiting to open once everything has been off for a while, putting another cycle on and repeating this, pushing it and then trying to open, and slotting a card between the door and machine. Really don’t want to make it worse! Seen on YouTube someone putting string all the way through between the door and machine, would that be worth a try with this handle? I defo don’t trust myself opening the top of machine and putting hand in like I’ve also seen. Thank you for any suggestions!! kelsey x
Hello everyone, we recently purchased a bush a1249rlb, however the door is cracked and leaking water, a lot of water. Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge on what doors will fit and if bush use a standard system of dimensions. If so could anyone please kindly post models which will fit the model we have as I’m struggling to find one. Thank you for your time. Alf
Hotpoint WT741. Just managed to replace a broken handle. This involved opening a stuck door by pushing the hook from the back of the interlock. Now the machine works normally and finishes the cycle but will not unlock until it has been unplugged from the mains for about 5 minutes. Turning it off from the button so that all lights go off is not sufficient. Any ideas why? Thanks!
