Hi ..My washing machine has given up on me this morning so looking for some guidance please. Hotpoint ultima extra wma64. Been running for over 10 years without any trouble but last night it was making a bit of a squealing noise whilst the drum has turning (slowly, not spinning fast). Put a load in this morning and the drum will no longer turn. I put it through the test program and the fault code is E32 (motor cut out open circuit) Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a washing machine which continually builds up mold and despite all the recommended procedures(bleach, vinegar, chemicals, service washes, long washes etc) I am unable to remove the problem. I notice that despite the presence of continually retruning mold on the rubber, it is only my towels that keep coming out smelling of mold. many of the thin fabric clothes do not smell of mold. However I am assuming that whatever I am putting in there is getting washed in dirty water(likely moldy). My question is, is it safe to continue to wash clothes in this machine and use the clothes provided they do not smell of anything after I take them out? I have been using th…

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if you can help me please. I have a Hotpoint WDL520 Aquarius. As of today, the dryer isn't working properly. Clothes are coming out hot and wet, and steam billows out when you open the door. I've read several other topics, and looked in the FAQ section, but I don't think any of them apply. The drum is turning, and I can hear water running as normal when the dryer starts (the second or so of running water you hear then stops and the dry cycle starts) so I'm thinking that it's not a problem with the solenoid that supplies cold water, would I be correct? Is there any other fault or part that causes this problem? Hopefully something I can fix …

Hi guys Simple question from a complete novice at these things. My washing machine inlet hose is leaking at the tap. It's not a standard hose, it's It's got a waterstop on the end to make it compatible with the AEG anti flood feature. The washer dryer is an AEG L14850 I had a plumber in and he changed the tap which was very old anyway. The washer inside the valve is fitted with some sort of filter and he didn't think it was standard. Anyway, a few hours later and Now it's leaking again, though not anywhere near as much. So I guess I'm looking for a new inlet hose. When looking on the AEG site there are two extremely similar looking devices, the only difference appe…

Hi , I have a Hotpoint Aquarious WMA56P washing machine, recently we had a power cut while the machine was going, when the power came back on the door lock light kept flashing. I have bought and fitted a new door lock module but to no avail, the problem is still there, have operated the module by hand while not connected to the front of machine, still no luck. Is there ant other part I should be looking at before I consider getting a new computer board. Any help would be very grateful. Bigbadsteve

Hello, I hope a kind soul can help with an issue I'm having with my washing machine as I'm a bit skint. The lights on my hotpoint wt 400 top loading hybrid washing machine no longer illuminate, it appears as there is no power. The washer came with the house I bought and worked a treat. It has a feed for hot and cold but I now only have cold supply so I put in a Y piece. The Y piece had a slight leak so I turned off the cold water supply until I found time to fix it. My cousin turned on the machine whilst I was out, when she came back the next morning it was dead, I've checked the fuse and outlet, but they are good. Another problem is I can't get access to the electrics…

Hi I am having issues with my washing machine when trying to select a wash type using the programme selector. When turning the selector to the desired wash type you don't get the selected wash, sometimes it the one before or the one after etc etc. Does anyone have any ideas, if so is this a fix I can attempt myself? Any help appreciated.

Hi all, I have a Bosch WIS24140GB Logixx 7 integrated washing machine, nearly 4 years old and has been working fine. However, I am having a bit of trouble with it at the moment, this is what happens... When the machine gets to the rinse stage after the main wash, it usually spins for a minute or so and it also does spins after each rinse, however now what seems to be happening is, the moment the machine begins to drain and spin, thick suds come pelting down the door at an alarming rate which causes the machine to abort the spin and then fill up VERY high with water in an effort to try and get rid of these suds, it then rinses with this high water, drains and tries to …

Hi, I have a Hoover OPH 716 DF- Problem, when we turn the programme selector the digital display jumps all over the place, it settles on the programme above or below the one we want, desperation makes us tap the area around the selector where eventually it settles on the chosen programme, is this a new display? (Quoted £100-ish) or is there an easy fix for this? Best Regards.

I have Bosch WFD2090EU. It have switch to cancel last spin. The machine does not get into last spin (everything else work's fine; it drains and spin at the middle of cycles). I opened and checked. The said switch is not working - but it is OFF (no short-circuit between its sides). We actually never use this switch and do not need this function. The switch have two gray wires from both sides. the bottom one is short with two gray wires both getting into the main programs circular switch (they are also offcourse short with each other). I am looking for a way to permanently clear this option of last spin cancellation. What should be done?

Hi all, My 2.5 year old daughter shoved a small plastic spoon into the hole in the drawer where detergent flows down. It worked its way down the rubber pipe and is now rattling around in the drum. The machine seems to work OK but makes a heck of a noise on spin. I've checked some vids about how to get into the drum but clearly its a job for a pro. Is there anything I could do to get this object out easily without having to call an engineer? If not, is this relatively safe if I have to live with it? Many thanks for any help given, Marc

Hi Everybody, I've had a look around the site for an answer to my problem but no such luck! I have an Indesit Indesit WIXXL(7kg) and for the last few months it has been running on wash cycles for hours. We can switch the machine on, any cycle any setting and more often than not the machne will still be running many hours later. The 4 lights that are pre-wash, wash, rinse and spin. It appears that the pre-wash light is extinguished and the 3 other lights remain illuminated. The water will enter start to enter the machne for a short time, stop and begin the wash cycle. There doesnt appear to be any faults being displayed. Eventually we give in cancel the program and sele…

Hi Andy, I have the following issue with a Beko WMI71641. I will give a detailed description of the fault and hopefully you could point me to the fault. I am at a loss. The machine is 2 years old and was working fine until a few weeks ago. The machine trips the electrics at 3 points in any washing programme. I will give the description of the quick wash programme as that is the one we use most ofthe time. The machine has a time to run of 39 minutes in total and works wonderfully for about 19 minutes, then with 20 minutes to go, the machine starts to drain and the electrics trip. After resetting the electrics a few times the machine continues until 16 minutes remain and…

Hi there, just stumbled on this very helpful site and I'd like to just thank Andy for all the help he gives people on here! Top man. So, I just moved into a new property and there's a basic Indesit WIB101 washing machine here that appears to be in fairly good nick, however the drum isn't spinning and thanks to the advice on here I determined it was the drive belt. Opening up the back, I can see that there's a drive belt lying on the bottom of the machine that looks in perfectly good nick, possibly even new. However, despite my best efforts it absolutely will NOT go back on (even with the cable tie trick described elsewhere on the site - it just snaps the cable tie of…

Hello to all. This has been a bit of a desperation for me, trying to fix this washing machine. First of all, I have been searching for help on other webplaces but so far none has provided with any help so I am trying it here now hoping that maybe this time something new can be discovered or even fixed. My washing machine is a Samsung Q1044 and one day it simply started hitting max RPM for no reason, just plug it into the wall and there it goes. Pressing any of the buttons has no effect. It won't sping if the door is open but it does as soon as it closes. The display shows only hyphens, no codes. The following is a video showing what happens when it is plugged into t…

I'm having problems with my Miele W863 (12 years old) and my technician cannot find the solution. Apologies for the length of my post, but I don't know what to do. I have checked the FAQs and I can't find anything similar to my symptoms ----------------------- There are two problems: A) At the start of the wash as the machine fills with water, the red 'check water inlet' sometimes lights up. It sometimes goes away by itself and continues, or does so when I open and close the door. When I do that, it starts filling once again with water, as if it was empty. Even without the error light, the water level is higher than it was - I cannot open the door in mid-wash without…

The machine starts, fills with water then spins very fast for a few seconds 3 times with a minute or so gap in between, empties and then stops. The display says END and the timer doesn't change. Any advice would be appreciated. I have checked all accessible connections and components and can't find anything obvious.

Hi my washing machine's drum is not turning. It fills and drains ok, but is fairly silent when it's trying to turn/spin. It's about 5 or 6 years old. Haven't checked anything so far other than the drum resistance which seems normal. From what I've read it could be the motor and/or brushes? The other thing worth noting is that it's occassionally not spun clothes very well (ie still wet) Any help would be much appreciated

Hello, My mashine started acting up ...water left in the machine after a wash cycle but seemed to drain when i used the manual pump out option , showing f05 code these were intermittent issues and sometimes it worked fine. I had a repair man out to look at it he just said he had cleared the pipes and couldnt find anything wrong and charged me £60 for 10 minutes work...ouch!(even though I had checked the pipes and filter myself previously). The f05 error still occurs occasionally and the water remaining issue also. Another weird thing is that if say I set a wash then a dry cycle after the wash completes by the dry cycle washes again instead of drying? Even if i set just a…

Hi I have a Beko wme7227w washing machine. When I first switch it on and put to a programme, the time stays at zero time. The door lock flashes on and then goes off. If I press the pause button the timer goes to the usual time for the wash but it doesn't start. Help! Thanks Dave

HI, Have a Hotpoint WMF740, machine washes fine but when it gets to the spin cycle the machine seems to struggle getting it into spin mode, it tries several times then gives up and gives error code F-02. This only happens intermittently. When you switch the machine off and do the manual spin cycle it works (sometimes). I have had the machine open and checked whether anything is caught in the drum but it rotates ok. I have also removed the belt from the motor and the motor spins freely. I rang hotpoint who said it could only be fixed by a hotpoint engineer. The said it is something to do with the board at which I stated if I ordered it i could fit it. Apparently h…

Hello all im having a problem with my zanussi 1217w i know its pretty old now but its a great machine. When it was spinning it was getting pretty noisy i think it was maybe the bearings going. Now when we start it it fills with water then skips to drain then nothing. If it is the bearings that have gone how do i find out and is this a correct thinking. Thank you for any help offered im about to open it up and have a look inside good luck to me lol. P.S Merry christmas all.
