timluton
Hi Everybody, I've had a look around the site for an answer to my problem but no such luck! I have an Indesit Indesit WIXXL(7kg) and for the last few months it has been running on wash cycles for hours. We can switch the machine on, any cycle any setting and more often than not the machne will still be running many hours later. The 4 lights that are pre-wash, wash, rinse and spin. It appears that the pre-wash light is extinguished and the 3 other lights remain illuminated. The water will enter start to enter the machne for a short time, stop and begin the wash cycle. There doesnt appear to be any faults being displayed. Eventually we give in cancel the program and select a drain and spin cycle. I have heard that a drainage problem could be an issue and therefore ensured it is sited at the correct level, undone the pump access cover to clear any debris. I can hear the pump running and the water emptying from the machine. When the spin cycle operates it does so properly and does get the water out of the machine. I was considering changing the PCB but I dont want to throw my money away. Any suggestions gratefully received! Tim
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted January 14, 2014 Root Admin Report Share Posted January 14, 2014 Don't replace the PCB speculatively, it may be nothing to do with it. If the heater goes open circuit mid wash it can cause similar issues without producing an error code. If it was anything to do with the pump it would only have an issue on rinses and spins and you would see it hasn't emptied the water. I would get an engineer. Need a repair or spare parts?
