Hi everyone Really hope someone can help me. I have an Indesit PWE91472WUK washing machine, it has served my very very well in the years I've had it. The first time I encountered a problem was last December, I believe it was an F05 fault code which worked itself out, it happened a few times, but when the engineer came out it almost magically disappeared as no repairs were undertaken and I've not had any problems until last week. This time it's a different fault code - F06, which going by the manual and the general consensus online is a door lock fault, which would coincide with the issues I've been having... As soon as you close the door the red …

Hi, My WML520p UK has the following controller; 09121500977700 The 5v(?) switch mode has died. The PWM current ctroller has blown its front off. THis is the small 8 pin dil IC package near the switch mode transformer. It is marked as U8 on the board. Does anyone have a board to read the number off the IC so I can buy just the IC to repair the board? I have tried to find a second hand board and there are some that may be suitable (09121500977701) but I'd rather either get the same board or repair this one. Thanks in advance

I have Hotpoint WDL540 G (UK) C washer/drier which is very ill. The only functions it will perform is to pump out, operate the door lock, and the filling solenoid. When filling, it does this in a sequence of short bursts, then nothing. I have done resistance checks on the motor, heater, and sensors, and all seem OK. I have tried running with pressure sensor pipe disconnected (it is not blocked), and with the sensor connector removed. In desperation, I have replaced the main control module, but without success. There are no fault indications on the lights on the front panel. I am an experienced electronics engineer, so I should have sorted this by now, but am at a loss to …

Hi. So iv got an Electrolux 148420w washing machine. Its been a solid worker but suddenly I had issues. Filled it with a small load of clothes but I notised an clank from time to time. It lessened on higer speed and centrifuge, but was worse at low speed. When the drum is empty I can spin it no problem and no sound. Checked the bearing behind, no leaks. One thing I tried was to move the drum sideways to see if the bearing was gone. But it was solid. BUT after i tried pushing it up,down, left, right suddenly it gave a little and the klank sound came... So if i slowly spin the drum and press down on the edge suddenly a klank(hollow as bent metal), and then I ca…

Hi all. Hopefully someone sees this message one day. I keep getting this error on my machine. Not all the time but if I use it more than once a day I will definitely get it. I've checked for blockages but nothing in there. Tried changing the pump and still the same issue. Am I missing a blockage somewhere? I've took every pipe out of it and checked them and flushed them out I cannot see where the problem is anymore. Can anyone help at all?

Hi all. First post, I hope someone can help. I replaced the bearings on my LG washer yesterday. Great! Ran smooth on an initial test. Put a load in and came back to a scraping noise. Dreading having to open it all up again I decided to take a look at the back and removed the rotor. the gold bolts that fasten the direct drive motor to the tub had been scraping agains the housing! Some have been bent severely! i really don't know how this could have happened as I fastened them all in securely and checked them all when I refitted.. Any ideas? pics https://goo.gl/photos/eGcyDD9F5uhEe1oH9

Hi Andy. I have a LG f1403rd. It started to make a loud knocking noise when going into spin cycle. This was after I had leant it to a friends pub. upon investigation, I found that the heating fan element that sits on top of the drum (for the dryer side of the machine) had come nearly completely off. The mounts that had it connected to the drum had lost the metal clips, there were no screws or bolts and some of the mounts had broken.. Im wondering if the parts that have sheared can be repaired (if so what with as am unsure to the plastics used) . I have tried to see what parts from websites I would need if the parts are not able to be repaid. However, there is a part I am…

Hi, In the past couple of weeks, I've noticed that my 7 year-old 5kg Bosch washer-dryer makes a rumbling noise when the drum is slowly turning during its wash and drying cycles. I don't really hear the noise when the machine is going through its high-speed spin cycle (maybe it's drowned out by the high-speed spinning noise itself), but I definitely notice it on lower speeds - particularly during the intenstive dry programme where the drum turns at a lower rpm. It sounds like a low rumble - as if someone is rolling a metal barrel down a concrete pavement. I can live with the noise - but the fact that it has appeared worries me. I've checked the drum when it's empty an…

Had a lot of Hotpoint's over the years and they have normally shared the same feature that if when it comes to Spin cycle if the clothes are not distributed the machine will not spin the clothes - the drum will deliberate , slow tumbling back and forth until it balances, (or attempts to balance) the load .. if it cant , then thats it with a Hotpoint its a no go, it wont go into a spin .. the cycle just ends and your clothes come out nearly sopping wet - it must be a nightmare for engineers or hotpoint who phone up hotpoint complaining their machines are 'faulty' and not spinning (even if they have written it into the instructions booklet for the machine) - are hotpoint ma…

Hello -- Mark here. Pleased to find this forum; I've been reading a lot of the useful information and experiences. Plus I sense the folks here might share my dismay at some of the lack of repairability of modern appliances (but that's another story!) My problem is a Zanussi, (ZWGB7140K, if you're interested); it's only 3 years old, used lightly (once every 2 weeks or less?) and now when I put it on 'spin' it walks around the kitchen like R2D2. I'm a competent DIY-er, so I did some reading (and YouTubing) and logically assumed the dampers likely to be at fault. However with brand new replacements this doesn't seem to have a made a difference at all. I've alread…

Hi, I have a Miele Softronic W487 1800 rpm spin speed which no longer spins and by the sound the drum makes when it is turned manually needs new bearings, does anyone know how much this would cost? Thanks.

Greetings, My once trusty Samsung Triflow SW65AP2 Top Loader (>15yo) is causing me conniptions at the moment. The latter part of the rinse cycle just results in the washing machine draining out the incoming cold general service water, then after 1 hour the error code 7E appears which translates to "no water supply", which is correct because the incoming water is being drained out. There are no overfilling, leaks and all hoses looks well sealed. This washer does come with the option where you can hook up a drain hose at the base so the water can be pumped out - this is not in use and the current drain hose output is about the same height as the washing mach…

Hello . Hotpoint Washing machine which has 2 way inlet cold water valve and a dispenser with 3 compartments (wash , prewash and conditioner) . Fault : conditioner not filled with water therefore not taken away Facts : tested separately wash valve and prewash valve are working. Dispenser is clean , softener compartment clean. When softener should be taken away (means BOTH valves should be open) , water is coming in only on prewash compartment !!! . Topper (the plastic way with holes for spraying water replaced so is new !!) Question : I am wondering who can answer why water is not sprayed in the softener compartment

Hi, this is my daughters machine and it's drum bearing is knackered by the sound of it, have searched all over for a bearing kit in vain, is this one of the sealed drum type machines? if so I guess I'm snookered, or is it possible to change the bearing?

Hello, I need to replace the hose on my machine, but it looks like I'm going to have to drill out the rivets that are holding the back of the top on, to be able to access the unit? Is that right? Is the hose a separate piece, or part of a unit, and why have they made it so difficult just to replace the hose?

Hi there My 2 year old Beko drum stopped turning. Error code F11 can be seen in diagnostic mode. The drum feels 'juddery' when turning by hand and this is coming from the motor - when disconnecting the belt and turning the motor head by hand the judder can be felt. However, and this is the strange part - disconnecting the motor from the circuit board entirely, allows the motor head to move freely. Tried a new motor but still the same. Any thoughts? Thanks

I have a W4144 which is 11 years old and at the end of the wash cycle on spin the machine begins to 'knock' loudly, get out of balance and fault F50 is displayed, yet on a cycle with an empty drum no fault occurs so it appears to be a drum balance issue ? The drum springs and shock absorbers all appear ok, sensor issue or motor ? i would be grateful of any ideas as what this could be ?

I have a Bosch Classixx 6 1200 spin washing machine. It keeps showing a Fault F16. I looked up this fault and it says keep door closed or linen stuck. I replaced the door lock mechanism with a new one after checking wiring and original door lock and trying all other possibilities. After putting the machine back together it is still showing the same fault code. Any ideas about what to do next? Thanks C

I have a Bosch Exxcel 1400 (WFO285SGB/01) that is currently not functioning. There is power getting to the machine and different times come up when I cycle through the different programs. I can choose to start a program but water does not fill the washing machine and there is no activity for the entire cycle, although the timer counts down. the machine makes an occasional clicking sound like it is going to start but then decides better of it. At the end of the cycle the spin light flashes which, according to the instruction manual, indicates a problem in the pump circuit. I have tried a number of different wash programs and the drain, rinse and spin cycles and there is no…

Hi, I am new to this forum and was wondering if anyone has any information on our trusty Dyson CR02. I have looked after this machine for quite a few years after Dyson stated they were not supporting it anymore.. I have changed the rectifier and associated fuse a few years ago and also fixed the troublesome micro switch for the outer door. The latest problem appeared as a nasty grinding noise and then no rotation of the drum. On removing the rear panel the drive belt had come off. |The drum rotates fairly easily anticlockwise but clockwise it appears to catch on something. The machine is still in it's original configuration with the cont…

I unloaded the washing machine this morning (Bosch ClassiXX 1200 express.....about 10 years old) to find a piece of rigid plastic in the washing and all the washing covered in fine grey powder. I assumed someone had left something in a pocket, although family members denied this. I cleared up the grey powder and set the clothes through again....BIG MISTAKE!!! Within 2 minutes the floor was soaked and the electrics had cut out. I have now emptied the machine and cleared up the flood...obviously after unplugging it! Is this repairable? I have looked through several sites and this problem does not seem to appear anywhere. I enclose a picture of the plastic part found in the…
