kbs
Hi, My WML520p UK has the following controller; 09121500977700 The 5v(?) switch mode has died. The PWM current ctroller has blown its front off. THis is the small 8 pin dil IC package near the switch mode transformer. It is marked as U8 on the board. Does anyone have a board to read the number off the IC so I can buy just the IC to repair the board? I have tried to find a second hand board and there are some that may be suitable (09121500977701) but I'd rather either get the same board or repair this one. Thanks in advance
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted June 14, 2017 Root Admin Report Share Posted June 14, 2017 Hello kbs, you can't buy any parts for the pcbs unless you know where to buy equivalents. QER repairs used to repair customer's pcbs. It might be worth getting in touch with them. Need a repair or spare parts? kbs
Hi Andy, I have plenty of IC suppliers but I dont know the part number as that was on the front of the IC and that was blowwn off. I can identify all the other SM components. I appreciate Hotpoint wont supply ICs! (Hotpoint buy these boards assembled). QER want >£50 but without the number from the old IC - I'm not sure they are in a better position than me. I'm hopimg to find a kind person who will read the number off their IC on their board for me. If that doesn't work out, I'd pay for a dead board that I can copy the numbers from myself. Thanks Keith
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted June 25, 2017 Root Admin Report Share Posted June 25, 2017 Could you send the old board to QER? Or just buy a recon board with yours as part exchange?
