I have a Beko 2313 CZ cold-fill standard washing machine. Recently it was stuck mid-cycle and water was VERY hot, even though it was on a 40C cottons programme, oh and the motor was not turning. Motor brushes found to be very worn and I replaced those. It then turned ok, rinsed etc, but still the water was very hot. Next, I checked the thermistor and compared the readings to a new one - same output, but fitted a new one anyway just to be sure; but the same result - the water was still becoming very hot. I then tried on 40C, 30C, and even COLD wash, but water still being heated by the element. Does this sound like an expensive control board issue, or perhaps just the…

Please could someone shed some light on my problem please. I believe I have a problem with either air hose or pressure switch, as the water contuiinues to fill without shutting off. Of what I have read, the pressure is at top of machine, right corner of machine, with a small pipe going to bottom of machine, my question is, is there an easy way to get to bottom of pipe so I can change it.? Many thanks for reading and hopefully helping Wayne

The Problem Washing Machine: Hoover PE235 1300 Special Edition Problem: washing machine not emptying water Analysis: Filter had some rug threads but problem remained after filter was cleared. After 70% of the water has been manually emptied, the washing machine will spin and empty. This indicates the pump is working. Diagnosis: There is a blockage somewhere but it is not obvious where. Next Steps: Looked online and found this really helpful website The Solution A BIG THANK YOU to Andy at WasherHelp for his instructions on diagnosing the problem on a washing machine that won't drain water I would normally have given up having check…

Hi I have a Miele washing machine which is about 6 1/2 years old. Recently it has developed a fault "check drain". The problem went away after a reset but has gradually got worse to the point the machine will always display this error message, So I have taken the following steps: 1. cleaned the filtor at the lower lhs sode of the machine. As I have never done this before there was quite a lot of build up. This temperarily fixed the problem 2. I opened up the machine and removed, cleaned the hose from the drum to the filter. The plate which holds the ball (float) had quite alot of build up which I chipped away (hose to drum connection). Also I cleaned the hose fr…

My machine works perfectly but the heater has packed up. It is part of a pretty decent fitted kitchen and I don't want to change . Will it still work if I connect to the hot filler or reverse the hot and cold?

Hello, Recently my washing machine just decided to stop working. The cycle would seem to start, but then after a few moments it would stop. I checked the filter and it seemed to look and smell burnt. (see picture attached) The machine did not fill with water and the clothing could be removed after it was turned off for several moments. There has been no sign of errors or burning smell observed before this. Would you recommend that the faulty filter just needs to be replaced or is there a more significant problem and a major repair or new machine is required? The Machine is Whirlpool AWM 6145. Thank you for your assistance. Bea

I have a Zanussi Lindo 300 washing machine, to which I've had an engineer out on two occasions due to oversudsing. When I looked this up on Google I came across this site but the discussion was 2014, even so it was confirming what the engineer had told me. Unfortunately I still have this problem and I have to use so little detergent that stains etc., are not removed. About 15ml - 20ml max. This machine recommends liquid detergent although I see where you say use a non bio powder instead. When I did try powder I was getting white patches. I changed to Persil instead of the recommended Ariel, which seems slightly better. Obviously I am not using …

Wonder if you could help please I have looked through troubleshooting but cannot find an answer which matches my problem. The lights and individual LED's on the display flash frantically with no discernible error code and the machine will not run. I can resolve this by closing the door very, very firmly but more force is gradually being needed. Am I correct in suspecting the door interlock? If so could you point me in the direction of a good supplier and fitting instructions? Many, many thanks

Hi, My 14 yrs old washer is giving me a headache..... Yerstoday my gf washed some clothes and it stopped at the last spin cycle. There's no sound coming from the washer when we close the cover. I can hear the click from the security lid, but that's it. So i removed the front of the washer and looked at the lid. Looked normal. So i thought about bypassing the lid security as a test. There's 4 wires on it. Tested them and 2 are for the washing cycle and the other 2 for the spin and drain. When i made the spin wires touch, the cycle started. It lasted about 20 seconds with a squeaking sound and then it stopped working. Most of the water was gone (maybe 2 cm left). I c…

Hi. I have a Zanussi ZWF12070W1 which has been in the property since since before I moved in a couple of years ago. Recently my washing machine fails to complete a cycle, the start/pause button just seems to flash. I’ve tried cleaning out the filter but this hasn’t sorted the issue. I have tried the error code thing of holding down the start button and option button then turning the option wheel 9 turns click wise. This gives the error code x1 red x3 green. Please help. First baby is due soon so would like washer up and running!!! thanks. Harry.

Hello, I have an eight year old Hoover washer/condenser dryer (VH W654D-80) which has recently developed a knocking noise on fast spin after my daughter badly overloaded it. However Ii had been moving around a bit more than usual prior to this. I don't think it is bearings or spider, but the shock absorbers might be soft and need replacing. Where the noise seems to be coming from is a part of the dryer at the top of the machine which is lose. I believe this is the heater fan, (and coincidentally the dryer trip switches cut the circuit any time the dryer is used so I suppose the unit is broken, it is certianly stiff and dry to turn), and there are two acc…

Hi folks I have a hoover washing machine which recently stopped spinning. I took the motor out and found the brushes were worn down so I've ordered a new pair. However on closer inspection I've noticed some notches in the center part of the motor and I'm no expert but it doesn't look right to me. Will I need a new motor or shall I just whack the new brushes in and hope for the best? Please take a look, thanks.

Yesterday our Hotpoint Aqualtis washing machine (model #AQ113D697E) stopped before the end of the cycle. For some time now it has occasionally remained on 1 minute remaining. We found changing the dial to spin and starting the spin cycle would always resolve this particular issue. Yesterday it powered down. None of the buttons where responsive. There was washing in the machine, It must have been near the end of the cycle because there was water in the bottom and the clothes where wet. The door unlocked. I removed the drain plug from the front of the machine, and drained a few litres of water. There is nothing blocking the impeller. I unplugged th…

I have a Beko front loading machine and for the past week when the machine has been spinning, it has been making a noise as if there is a piece of plastic tapping on the drum as it spins round. Obviously, the faster the spin, the louder the noise. Today, the machine drum stopped turning. I thought that maybe there was something in the filter, so I removed the front of the filter and there was nothing, nor in the tubes that lead to/from it. The propeller moved normally and the machine drains. When I put it on a wash, the machine now fills up a bit, does nothing for a while and then drains. It repeats this a few times. If I put it on a spin, it obviously doesn't s…

Hi Folks. OK - As the title suggests, I'm getting an F21 fault on my Bosch Classixx 6 washing machine. I've replaced the brushes (which were completely worn), and cleaned the rotor and stator (which were both covered in carbon dust) - however, I'm still getting the fault. Now I don't know if it's the old fault that still needs to be reset(?), whether there's a secondary fault, or whether it was not the brushes in the first place. The manual states F21 as 'Motor fault - contact the manufacturer'. There doesn't appear to be a 'reset' as such (there are a few instructions given in the manual about turning the selector and holding on the spin button - but this doesn'…

So the cycles on my Bosch WM ( WDO2866GB/07 ) are taking much longer than they should...the rinse programme seems fine. Im trying to work out if its the element / thermostat or the programme board...which is what several repair people have suggested Its 10yrs old but don't want to replace unless I have to...I gather a new board means it not worth repairing but if it's the thermostat it is. On the hottest wash the glass did not seem that hot but not sure if that proves anything or not. No error codes showing. I am in a hard water area. Any thoughts or suggestions would be gratefully received...please

I'm fitting a new washing machine: the connector hose on the machine is a standard one, but the hose from the mains (it's from under the kitchen sink) has no thread on it (see pics). The John lewis delivery guys said it was an old-fashioned one and they couldn't install it. Is there a simple way to put a connector on the mains hose? Grateful for any advice!

Hello, I would like to understand what this plastic pipe at the bottom, and the attached shelf around it, are for. As its holder somehow broke and they both fell off. In this very similar washing machine: https://elektrotanya.com/bauknechet_wat_uniq_642_aaa.pdf/download.html you can see them in the schematic at page 6, as 999-1 and 999-2. As I read, they are pin and cover, but cover for what? – It is just hanging there in midair. The thing is, months ago the machine stopped taking softener from the dispenser, and recently it stopped working altogether due to a water level sensor issue. Now, I cleaned the air chamber of the level sensor (it was dirty, but …

Hi there, We have a machine that has been damaged by a sudden build up of grit that has cause an un-repairable fault. Just wandering if its possible that the machines out pipe sucked up soil/grit that had blocked the outside grate in front of our kitchen? Our garden flooded a few weeks ago after heavy rain when the grate/drain was blocked by some soil that was nearby. Thanks alot, and hope thats not too vague.
