I bought a Samsung Washing machine from a large retailer on November 6th so is around 9 months old. We have noticed a number of small holes appearing in clothes over the last few months. We eventually figured out it is the washing machine by checking every item before it gets washed, but originally blamed the kids or the cat or anything else. The manufacturer say the machine is perfect, but spins so fast that it pushes the material through the holes and onto the sharp edges on the outer edge of the drum causing the damage. I accept that this is a valid explanation of what is happening, but wanted to see if anyone else had had a similar experience as I do not believe i…

Hi all, I bought this very cheap nearly brand new but faulty Bosch Serie 6 washer dryer WVG30461GB / 01. I bought it with a risk I might not be able to fix it but then at least I will learn something new and will put my brain on the spin. It seems to me like the PCB is faulty as any program selection goes to a drain cycle after few seconds after relays tried to set and feedback received . Any selection on front display is rejected with double beep. Drain cycle starts itself automatically. Drying programs are the same, going to the drain cycle after few seconds. When the draining is finished it freeze showing the full time duration of particular program on displ…

Hello, so glad I came across this forum but I'm concerned it may be a bit late. Just took delivery of this washer drier and was taken aback because it took an absolute age to wash clothes and made quite a bit of noise. Plus the drier hadn't dried the clothes after what seemed like two hours and it got very hot on the outside and I couldn't interrupt the cycle and then I read that if I turned it off suddenly it would be dangerous . It seems itll only cope with one wash a day which doesn't seem very good as I have a backlog. Do I have any rights for a refund because it seems so poor? In addition they sold me a warranty repair plan but it costs half the value of…

Hi Andy, This a great site you have here. So generous with your help. I wonder if you could offer me a little advice? I suspect the heating element has gone on my Miele Prestige Plus 6 washing machine as it keeps tripping the electrics when it gets to a certain point in the cycle. I saw the part can be bought and set out on taking the washer apart. Using some good info on here I managed to remove the front and sides and think I’ve located the heater element. Now I’m stuck though - I can’t work out how to remove the heater element. Can you help at all? Please see attached pic, have I got it right, is this the heater element? Thanks, …

Hi All, I think I pushed too much one button last night and as a result, all the buttons were pushed inside the washing machine, as per picture. I can still see them from the outside, I don’t think they are broken I just need to figure out a way to bring them back to their original position. The washing machine is a HJA 8513. Any idea? Thank you!

My Miele washing machine is leaking from the bottom left hand corner, near the filter door, when it empties between the rinse cycles and final spin. I regularly put soda crystals through once every two weeks, I do not use the powder drawer as I use capsules and just throw in the drum. I also clean the filter every two weeks, any ideas please?

Hello, My washing machine makes a thudding noise when it's finished spinning. Please see attached video. This has happened twice, that I know of. The cycle appeared to have finished, the display says 'END'. The machine made this sound at irregular intervals of a few seconds. The drum does not move during the thudding. Looking at the light indicators, it does seem that the programme is complete by the time this noise starts. The washing appears to be washed, rinsed and spun dry. When I turn the machine off, on the programme dial, the noise stops and the door click releases. What's happening? Grateful for any suggestions. Beko Washing Machine- Small.mov

Hello everyone. I hope that maybe you will be able to help me out. So I read the Troubleshooting common washing machine faults but I can't seem to find a seem to find a solution directly but I think I may know what the issue is. I think it is by the part the dispenses the water to where the detergent is, and at that part, there are three wheels, orange, yellow and white. The orange one is the one which seems to be stuck. We oiled it but nothing and we cannot take out of the socket but the white and the yellow one we can. Attached you can find a picture. The model number is AEG OKO_Lavamat 86820 update. Thanks in advance.

Had an issue with this Bush WMNSN612W washing machine. Had a rogue engineers ruler get in between the the drum, another story! It found itself between fingers of the heating element which to remove meant cutting the element. Moving on, fitted new heating element, re assembled to the point where I was ready to do a trial run. Putit into one of the wash modes and hit the 'go' button. The door lock mechanism locked, clunk click . . Then after a couple of minutes waiting, the two indicators for wash and rinse started flashing. Isn't the internet a wonderful font of info! Found out that this indicated the door was not closing/locking properly. Attempted the initial process a …

Bit of a long story. My WD640 had an F-08 error, after reading around I checked the heaters, thermistors and all seemed to be OK on a resistance test, about 30ohm on the heaters, 25Kohm on the thermistors. Everything was pointing to the PCB. I removed the PCB and inspected it, hoping to find a dry joint. Nothing was showing up so next was to identify the relay connections and check continuity on the board. Again all OK, so next was to check operation of the relay by using a 12v source. That was a mistake, there was some sort of feedback in the circuit and a small component failed. I have not been able to identify what, but the board is back in the machine it pow…

Then I disconnected the element again all appears ok Machine will function somewhat ( although no heating elemrnt) checked resistane on element pins - measureing about 30ohms - good Check for continiuty between element pins and earth - none - good checked thermostat getting 0 ohms - although must admit - hard to measure…

Hello I have a Beko wm74135w that recently would not enter its final spin. It would spin fine up until the final spin though. I checked the brushes and one was worn completely down. The other maybe only 30% worn. I had only changed them about a year ago so. I ordered some new brushes but they were for a different Beko model. They are angled the correct way though so I put the new brushes in to the original brush casing and fitted them. All was fine and it was fast spinning except it seemed to spin faster than usual (can't confirm is this true or not since I am not the one that usually uses the machine). Next it started smoking from the back (I presume motor) So I swi…

Hello I have had a look through the troubleshooting guide, but I've not been able to pinpoint exactly what the issue with my w/m is. I think it might be the carbon brushes, but I would really appreciate your input. I bought a secondhand 6kg Indesit washing machine (IWC6105) almost three years ago which has been running fine until recently. When spinning, the machine would make a quiet clicking/ticking type of noise which I didn't pay much attention to as the machine was still functioning fine. Cut to last night, the machine started making a much louder noise and suddenly stopping mid programme and resetting itself. When I tried to drain the machine, the …

Hello fellow washers I was the proud owner of a Beko WTG50M1W machine, until I put something I should not of put in the machine. Well the item I put in the machine has completly broken up into little bits. I have gotten into the drum cleaned it out ect, but when I put the machine on a new wash, I can hear a strange sound coming from the pump like it is pumping no water and of cource there is no water getting into the drum its self, and after a while the machine times its self out and stops. went to check the filter housing only to find the filter missing so I guess it has clogged up the pump What would be the next stage please? Thanks in …

My husband has done a drum swop on a washer dyer as the bearings had gone on one machine. We had another machine with a fault which wasn't the drum. After the drum swop the washing machine stops mid cycle and the wash light flashes. The spin works and so does the pump out, but the rinse and spin cycle stops and the wash light flashes again. The water supply is OK and there aren't any kinks in the pipes. We suspect it is something to do with the water going into the machine. The soap isn't being washed out either. The heater went across with the drum swop and the pressure switch and hose. Nothing else. Same drum size and everything fits exactly the same. Any ideas welcome.…
