Hi. This is how I found our machine when I opened it. The seal has been rubbed and rubbed so much it tore off in a few places and there are bits of it everywhere. The drum seems to move OK from what I've read here. It doesn't move up or down too much and isn't "stuck". I don't want to replace the seal in case it's a bigger problem. I don't think it's rubbing in just one spot because more than one piece came off. Any ideas anyone? VID_20220430_085943.mp4

I have a Samsung ecobubble washing machine and dryer. It started leaking the other day from middle underneath with a 1 on the screen (not any other letters like the errors do) I emptied the tray catcher at bottom but now when you turn it on, it keeps locking and unlocking the door mechanism and then will randomly turn the machine on for a wash, even if door is open. Is this something that can be fixed?

Hi all, hoping someone here can help with an issue I have. I brought a new Hisense washer dryer, it's 10kg/6kg. I'm having issues where the wash cycle will, more times than not, bang when it reaches the spin parts of the programme, the rinse / spin part. I've been having this issue since receiving the appliance and so far Currys (who installed it) checked and it is all level, good clearance etc. Have also spoken to Hisense who have ruled out bearings, and I initially thought it was the power cable/waste pipe vibrating against the back of the machine. However, after pulling the machine out, for the 50th time, I was getting the same sound and there was nothing vibratin…

Hi everyone, I hope you can help. I own an Indesit integrated washer dryer (IWDE146). It’s been serving me well for the past four years. Lately, I have noticed that the fabric conditioner slot remains full of water / half dissolved conditioner after every wash. The liquid simply sits in there. Sometimes it leaks out of the machine as it gets too full. In the past, I have fixed this issue by cleaning it, unclogging any possible blocked areas, and putting it back. This time around, I have followed the same procedure, cleaned it thoroughly, however water still sits within the slot, with fabric conditioner doesn’t seem to disssolve. I was wondering if you had a recommendation…

During a washing cycle yesterday I heard a loud noise and opened the lid to see that the agitator stopped moving. Looks like the agitator dogs are in working condition still (see pic attached), so I don't think there's an issue with them getting the grip needed to turn the shaft. is this likely the motor? I'm thinking it might be considering the loud noise. The washer still drains.

Hello, My washer has began to make more of a wheeze when spinning. I've taken the back off and disconnected the belt. The sound is coming from what I believe is the motor, not the drum. The bit where the cooper is. 20220411_150850.mp4 Any advice? I can hear that sound when I open it at the front and spin the drum around.

Hello everyone! Glad to be here. I hope anyone could help me sort out a bit of a domestic dispute between me and the missus before I phone up AO and have a bit of a rant. Brand-new washing machine installed just after Christmas. However the neighbours have been doing a lot of redecoration as well. Every time the washing machine was on we heard this bang bang bang coming from downstairs didn’t think it was the washing machine at all! Thinking it was the neighbours! A week has passed every now and then bang bang bang. One night I had enough and went downstairs to speak to neighbours and I noticed before I made myself look like an idiot t…

Hi everyone. My Hotpoint WDUD 9640 washer dryer suddenly died during drying cycle. It started to fill the washing machine water and tripped the main fuse box. After turning on the fuse I switched the machine on again but it immediately gives error F15 and starts filling washing machine with water. You can not switch washing off at that point as all buttons stops responding. I had to turn off the power and manually drain all the water out. I tested for blocked pipe, lint filter, and water pump. They are all ok. I also tested the heating element of both washer and dryer. The resistance On those also appears to be ok. I decided to take out the main control mod…

Our Miele 1203 Washer tries to drain upon startup. It comes on with the buzzer sounding, and trying to drain. After about 3 minutes or so, it stops trying to drain, but then is not functional - does not proceed to the wash cycle. Nothing is operative. Have to restart it. My research points to issues along the drain system. I cleared any clogs. That seems to point at a bad drain pump... but the test for the drain pump seems to be determining if the impeller spins or not, and mine does. So I'm stumped. Control panel? We had it replaced about 3 years ago. How can I tell if the drain pump is functional or not? If the impeller is spinning, is that about the only tes…

Hello, I wonder if someone could please help with my issue I have a BEKO WDIR7543101 integrated washer dryer purchased dec 2019 which seems to have a repeat issue which was fixed by an engineer under warranty about 6 months ago. I believe he claimed he changed a capacitor, but I cant be sure of that. The problem is that the machine will start beeping on its own randomly. If you try and press any of the buttons, they sometimes work correctly and other times do not. i.e the start button turns the machine on and off. I have managed to run the test program by pressing and holding the spin and start buttons, I cycled through the tests and it seemed ok, but then th…

I have a very old Miele DE LUXE ELECTRONIC W 772 washing machine , from around 1986. The machine is still running, but the drum is not turning. I have taken the top off, and it looks like the drive belt, and the large drive wheel have come off. I am however not able to get to these parts as there is no access panel at the back, and the back panel and side panels are all in one. Any help with accessing this would be appreciated. Many thanks

I was cleaning out my washing machine - the detergent drawer and the filter, I ran some hot water through the the empty detergent drawer slot to help soften the dried powder. The water ran through the machine out of the slightly loosened filter as I had just placed it back but left it loose to flush the water out. Shortly after there was a water proofing error. After tilting the washing machine to ensure the water didn’t wash back into the machine the error went away, but changed to a “Technical ! fault F169”. I can’t find this error code anywhere in a manual, but the guidance for technical faults is to switch off and on again at the mains. Unfortunately, I don’t k…

I'm attempting a bearing replacement on an Electrolux/AEG washer. The complete tub+drum assembly is circa £200, and the individual bearings and original AEG seal are about £25 for all three parts. I thought I'd share my thoughts on this in case it's useful for others... A viable repair must be water-tight, and mechanically strong enough to withstand the forces on the drum whilst the washer is in use. It must withstand the full temperature range that the tub will operate at - from not much above 0℃ when filled with cold water in late winter to 60℃ or 90℃ depending on the hottest program the washer has, (in any case it's best to assume this will be 100℃ near…

My Hoover washer is displaying E08 error code, indicating a motor problem, so I took out the motor and had a good look and then checked it with a multimeter. The results are puzzling me: First step: carbon brushes have around 4 cm left on them - plenty - they're only a year or so old. I cleaned the commutator thinking it might be that - then put it all back The machine still didn't work: on the spin cycle, after the pump stops, there's the characteristic graunchywhine for a second and then nothing. So I know power is getting to the motor. I tried to help it on its way by moving the drum at the same time the motor was energised and it did start to spin …

Siemens extraklasse wm14k280gb has an E21 error that will not clear. Can you assist? Your help needed. What I have done so far: o Removed the coin/fluff filter and cleared it o Removed and checked the rubber pipe from drum to drain - clear o Removed the Hanning drain pump and checked resistance - not open circuit, pump runs o Removed the drain piping, flushed it through With each fix I re-tested, no joy. Whilst I was in there I changed the brushes and sprayed contacts with contact cleaner, Blew the carbon dust away. Motor turns fine. No matter what I do I cannot clear the E21 error which seems to be a drain fault according to the net…

Hi there. I found a stainless steel strap (see attached photo) approx 10mm wide and 150 mm long buried in a load of dried clothes within our Hotpoint tumble dryer. It may have come from the dryer or alternatively was wrapped up in the clothes from the wash in our Indesit washing machine. There was also a very small screw in there. There is a screw hole in one end, and the strap is twisted like a corkscrew at the other end and has sheared off at the other screw hole end suggesting it's been twisted then torn off during a spin cycle. I've looked in the drums of both machines and can see where it could of come from inside, but can't see how it would have got inside the drum…

I have a pretty new Bosch vario perfect, series 6, machine. Today someone had activated the child lock, which didn’t about. I used the emergency open thingy , near the needle filter. since this didn’t really solve the problem, I poked in the locking mechanism with a screwdriver, which made the black latch snap down. the child lock is now disabled, but I can’t shut the door. I can’t find a way to reset the lock and I am afraid to damage it with too much force. I don’t think the lock is damaged yet, it just needs to snap back. please help
