Hi Andy, My BEKO Beko WM74135W turns on as normal and you can select the different programmes but thats as far as you can go. Pressing start does nothing. No water comes in and last night I poured water into the drum and selected spin and drain but nothing happened. I find out that the filter was clogged so I all that out. Given that no error codes are coming up on the screen, would this be a problem with the door lock? Regards

I have an Indesit IWDC6105 inherited from the previous owner of my flat. When I set the cycle to go the 3h button lights up and the cycle does not start. It doesn't flash to indicate it's actually on timer delay. And none of the others buttons flash. I've unplugged and left for a few minutes to no avail. Hoping something obvious I'm missing??

Hi I have an LG washing machine which is about 13 years old now and not required any repairs until today. So I am very pleased with it on the whole. It is a model WM-14331FD but I think my question would apply to most LG models. Today the pump stopped working. I got the pump mechanism out and found there were 2 identical pumps, one for emptying the the machine and the other for spraying water back up to the top of the drum during some cycles. I applied power direct to the pumps on the bench and sure enough the emptying one was not working. Rather than just buying a new one, I dismantled the pump to see how it had failed. The pumping chamber containing…

Hi there I've noticed today that my brand-new AEG is getting noisy when spinning at a certain speed with a full load. To me, it's a bad bearing noise. It's not awful but obviously it raises some concerns. I have noticed that if I spin the drum by hand with NO POWER connected the drum spins freely up to a certain speed, then it develops a "spongy" as if the motor was counteracting and it stops immediately. No noise is produced. I'm wondering if this is just a normal behaviour of an inverter motor or a further confirmation that something is not right. Finally, the drum has a very little play if I pull it at the bottom. Thank you!

Problem :- No motor rotation, no error code. Fault history:- Machine left washing overnight, following morning full of water, no power to washer socket (breaker tripped). Restore power, ERROR F16, clear error, start button gives two beeps no other response. Motor brushes very worn and burnt - replaced, checked for other possible component or wiring faults- none found, replaced door interlock, still start button two beeps. Checked power module and found PCB track going to door interlock pin 2 vaporised - replaced power module. Current problem:- machine now fills and drains, presume it also heats water but not checked, no motor rotation of an…

Hi My Hotpoint washing machine dispalys code f-02 which is motor jammed /tach disconected but if you stop the machine you can turn the drum by hand i have replaced the shock absorbers and springs with genuine hotpoint parts as i thought they may have been triggering the unbalanced load switch The motor bearing and belt are fine and the drum does not seem to have any room on the bearing. The machine will go through a full cycle if there is no load in it but as soon as you put a load in it starts to play up the drum moves around so violently that it is hitting the steel casing of the machine and almost lifts it self off the ground. Only thing i can think of is the dru…

Thank you for your reply, I tried to send you a video of what my machine sounds like, but the file was too big, so I tried to send you a video from Youtube, but I couldn't send that either. If you are able the video on you tube is called Miele W1 Washing machine and its posted by niceguy235uk1 . My 14 month old Miele WKG 120 sounds exactly like that. I hope you can listen to it and tell me what that noise is. That noise though is what the engineers have said to me is the suspension springs. The suspension springs got replaced in January 2017 and all was good, then in April 2017 it started to get noisy again, the springs were not replaced just lubricated, it helped a…

Hi on our Indesit IWDD7123 I came to use one of the wash cycles (no.3 but also happens with no.4) and the time taken display just shows 0:01 instead of an hour or so. Tried and machine just started and stopped a seconds later. Other programmes work normally. Any ideas? I have looked at the troubleshooting on this site but its not covered. Also I have unplugged and waited a couple of minutes for any capacitor charge etc. to go but it still happens.

Hi my Miele WKG 120 is 14 months old and I have got a Miele engineer coming next week. The suspension springs keep going. On the first visit they were replaced, 2nd visit, lubricated and it's started to make the same noise as last time. I believe overloading the machine can cause this, I feel like I take great care not to overload it as I love the machine. I really want to stop the springs from going. Is there anything I can do to stop this?

I have an elderly WFL2067GB that is happy to rinse, spin, freshen up etc but refuses to wash. Starting a cycle results in a brief burst from the inlet valve followed by several minutes of nothing. After that, the Rinse LED flashes which, according to the manual means water isn't getting in. It will rinse etc so I know the water supply and inlet valve are fine. I had a thought that possibly it was trying to heat up a small amount of water as a self-test but replacing the heater did not help. Could it be the thermostat in the same unit? All suggestions welcome. I've replaced the machine with a spare Aquarius from the garage (never throw anything away, although tha…

Hi, We have a BEKO WM5120 which is about 6-7 years old. This is the first problem we have had. The washing machine has been in storage for a year but we decided to re-install it today. I decided to run it through a 90 degree wash with nothing in to initially clean it out however it will fill with water then try to spin and stop after a second or two, it will then try again after a few minutes and so on for about 20mins until the start/pause/cancel light flashes. I have read the article about not spinning with one item/small load but I am sure this is not the case with the machine as it is empty (and we used to clean it with a machine cleaner with nothing in it). I ha…

11 Year old Bosch washer, WAE24465gb/01replaced heating element several times over the years not using genuine part. Machine appears to be washing everything at 90degrees, I washed some towels yesterday and they were too hot to get out of the machine at the end of the cycle. I put the machine on a cold wash earlier and I could feel the heat in the water within a few minutes, I left the cycle for 10 minutes, switched the machine off and measured the temperature of the water in the drum once the door released and it was 79degrees Celsius. Seems like the element is constantly switched to on as even after the rinse cycle/spin the clothes are boiling hot. …

My BOSCH WAS32460GB Washing machine buttons wont work when the door lock engages. Symptoms - You can pick a cycle when the door is open but the buttons stop respond. The machine starts as soon as the door is closed and all functions on the control panel stop working, no response at all and the display goes out..... you have to manually override the locking mechanism to open the machine, no error code have been displayed. Any advice as to what this may be?

The attached photo shows an object in the drum of our samsung wf80f5e5u4w ecobubble. My thoughts are its a foreign object that it stuck. I have tried to pull it out with long nose pliers but did not succeed. Before l start taking the drum out and apart would you agree its a foreign object or could it be part of the drum that has come loose a slipped in?

HI MY mother has a WML560 Hotpoint washer, which has had a problem for a while. 2 program cycles often don't complete. I checked the height of the pipe and then removed the filter cleaned it checking the exit pipe and also made sure the pump worked. The machine seemed to work for a few days but has now started to constantly fill and empty on the rinse cycle and won't move on. Though we manage to get it to move using the rail to change the setting. The motor has turned the drum and spun. But it seems now to be stuck on fill empty again. Is the the main pcb or the switch pub? Please help.

There is a similar post about a machine that refuses to start. After some experimentation I found that my Beko WMA 520 S was not detecting that the door was closed. If I push against the door as I push the start/pause button the machine does start and it continues to run. The question I have is How does the door sensor work? When I contacted Beko they said " I can advise that there is no door close sensor on this appliance; the door latch just connects to the door lock. Based on what you have described, an engineer would be required to diagnose the cause of the issue. " Since "calling out an engineer" is an affront to my dignity, I wonder if anybody …

Our washing machine keeps filling with water, even when not on. Not sure if the filling is linked to the dishwasher or not. It did flash and beep H2O. I’m assuming it figured there was a water problem but not sure if that is an error code too? It will also start a cycle but then just stop, making a whirring noise. If paused, it sometimes starts again, others not. Is this the motor? Help! I’ve got two kids and a mountain of washing!!
