Moose
Hi Andy, My BEKO Beko WM74135W turns on as normal and you can select the different programmes but thats as far as you can go. Pressing start does nothing. No water comes in and last night I poured water into the drum and selected spin and drain but nothing happened. I find out that the filter was clogged so I all that out. Given that no error codes are coming up on the screen, would this be a problem with the door lock? Regards
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted November 3, 2017 Root Admin Report Share Posted November 3, 2017 Most washing machines should allow you to select a wash cycle but won't start the cycle if the door is not closed, or there is a fault on the door lock system so that it isn't registering that the door is closed. One way to possibly test for that is to see if the door lock is locking the door. It's also possible for some other electrical fault or even the PCB to be at fault. Moose
Thanks Andy. I am currently in remote part of Zambia, Africa. Parts are not easy to get can't exactly call someone out. Is there anything I can do to find out which one is which?
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted November 6, 2017 Root Admin Report Share Posted November 6, 2017 Not really. It would need tracing properly. If the door locks but doesn't start it could be anything. If the door doesn't lock then it implies the door lock might be not operating. There's no guarantee, but if the door doesn't lock yet the programmes can be selected a new door lock might fix it. Need a repair or spare parts?
