I have a Bosch Exxcel 7 washer that has started causing a water hammer on the final spin cycle. This started after I changed the brushes so may be because something got disturbed when the washer was lying on its front. Having a good investigate with the cover off, the solenoid on the water inlet valve is being operated in about 1sec pulses which is causing the water hammer, it's also leaving water in the conditioner part of the detergent drawer. So something is momentarily switching the inlet valve solenoids. Does anyone have an idea of where I should look next? Getting the Bosch engineer out is something I'd rather not have to do, given that it's well out of …

I have an aeg L7548WD. I'm not daft enough to wash a bean bag in it, but I did think it would be okay to wash the cover, which had dozens, maybe hundreds of I assume polystyrene flakes stuck to the cover which wouldn't brush or shake off. I assumed they'd just wash away with the waste water, but when the wash finished there were several flakes still in the machine. I removed several with tape, see pic below for example next to pound coin, but several are still stuck in in the crevice at the back of the machine. Will most of the flakes have washed away with the waste water (there's none in the filter), and despite this is it safe to use both the washer and the dryer as n…

Hi all. I bought a Haier HW90 washing machine in June this year and had no issues until about 2 weeks ago. My clothes smell foisty after washing yet a couple of weeks ago, I could smell the clean washing throughout my house whilst is was drying. I used some washing machine cleaner and nothing changed. I decided to check the temperature of the washing during the cycle to see if it was getting hot and it appears not. I assumed the heating element had failed so I got a replacement sent out. I am still having the same issue of a foisty smell with the new washer. I have a wash on now and I have paused it several times and each time the washing is e…

I have a Hotpoint washing machine which had plastic paddles attached to the drum; theyt fell off after 4 yrs. I got a repair company to come out and install new ones. But the engineer just clipped the paddles on. I asked him if he needed to use screws as well because the paddles had screw holes. He said 'no need' and left. I suspect he took the shortcut and clipped them on. Screwing them would have meant opening up the washing machine and going through the back. 4 weeks on and one of the paddles has fallen off so I am calling the engineer out again under warranty. I would think the paddles need to be secured with locking crews or something. IMO this is a terribl…

Machine not draining, no blockage, drain pump impeller just sitting oscillating slighlty. E03 error Could turn drain impeller by hand but felt stiff. Took off pump to check, looked ok, nothing at rear of impeller, felt tight/loose when rotating. After refit & power back on the display is not normal, just like dashes going round, see attached vid. 20221117_151702.mp4

My integrated washer dryer doesn’t heat up as it did before on a wash/dry programme. I have changed the heating element, checked the front drain, and cleared out any minor clogged lint seen. I noticed yesterday on a drying cycle it starts but after 5 mins double beeps and stops any ideas? The machine is only 2 years old.

Hello, I’m new to the forums. My other half has got a sock trapped in the door and so we have a big flood. After taking the machine out, cleaning, drying and putting the machine back I’ve spotted a part on the floor that has come loose from my Hisense machine. It’s labelled JF 1 and is as pictured below. Does anyone know what it is and where it needs to go back? I’ve searched the part number online with no luck. Thanks in advance.

Hi Andy I would be grateful if you could shed some light on why my Bosch Serie 6 washer dryer (WVG30462GB) leaks clear water through the detergent dispenser drawer and has also leaked over top of the door. It has only happened approx 5 times in the last 2 years, the first time it happened was approx 9 months after purchasing it whilst it was still in warranty. After 4 engineer visits by Bosch they said they cannot detect a manufacturers fault because it never happens during their visit so I feel like I am being penalised for the infrequency of the issue, they said it is most likely due to the wash liquid and dosage I use, I use a silk wash liquid and do not use a …

I have an older Zanussi ZWF 5140P washing machine that makes a pretty curious sound while draining, the sound stops when the draining is finished. I have a video attached, sound starts 15 seconds in. Should I look into getting the pump replaced, or is it fine? Otherwise the machine runs fine, and washing programs do finish. ZANUSSI.mp4

Hi all I have searched and read lots of bits but am still not sure what has caused my issue etc. So the machine is a Beko WIX845400 and I have a leak (that seems to be intermittent). I have found that it comes from the top of the soap dispenser housing (within the machine housing) when filling. I have thoroughly cleaned everything (although it really didn't seem to be that dirty) and there are no blockages. I thought it could be that the water pressure was too high but I have turned this down and I still have a leak the other thing that is very odd is that I often end up with a bit of soap powder clumped up in the draw (I use persil and def have not …

Hello everyone, Yesterday night after finishing the 1st round of clothing, I fill the machine again as always, and after pressing the start button I soon realize the timer was stuck at the initial minute forever. I found out the issue was that the drum didn't rotate automaticly as supposed. No warning beep sounds or error codes. The drum simply doesn't rotate. Although, it's possible to rotate it manually by hand. What could this be? Broken belt? It worked just minutes before. See attached video. 20221106-005311_xAxrMhX5.mp4

Please can anyone tell me where I could buy Suspension Parts or Compatible for the ISE 10 1606W, and / or disassembly instructions. Even the specs of the part would help. I understand the machine was designed to be easy to repair, so I am wondering if there are some sort of universal suspension arm that would do the job? Any help greatly appreciated...

Hi. My Bosch Maxx 6 is full of water and won't drain. I took the front cover off and can't find an emergency drain pipe. Am I missing something here? It is full of water and I can't move it. How do I drain it? I'm scared of unscrewing this cap in case water pours out. I can't find anything at all on Google for this model. Please see picture of model and cover cap removed. Thanks.

Have to confess that this might be one of those 'always been happening but only just noticed it' things. Having said that the cover is getting very hot - not comfortable to put hand on it - which I would have thought should not be the case from a kiddie safety point of view. Had had a Miele service guy out recently (to fix a loose internal dryer hose left by the previous Miele engineer) - so wondered if some other hose with hot air had come loose and was causing it. Opened up the top cover and turned on the drying cycle (avoiding touching any of the exposed electrics naturally). There is a beefy looking big rectangular silver metal box running font to back with …

Hi all, I'm hoping someone can provide some thoughts/suggestions on an issue we're having. We bought a second hand Bosch Serie 4 washing machine. Recently we've noticed that the drum has a tight spot when rotating it by hand. This tight spot appears to change position each time we rotate the drum (I.e. 1st rotate, the drum will spin freely until it hits the tight spot at 3 o'clock position, rotate again and the tight spot is now at 1 o'clock, rotate again and it's at 7 o'clock). When the drum hits the tight spot it doesn't feel/sound like it's grinding, and it doesn't suddenly stop. It is silent and slows the drum rotation quickly at that specific point.…

My Hotpoint washing machine is only 13 months old and only used about once a week. Today towards the end of the wash I noticed a very strong oily, plastic type smell coming from the machine. I waited for the cycle to finish (only a couple of minutes) and when I opened the door the smell was even worse. The washing stinks. I have checked the water filter which was clean. The machine has very little use and I clean the door seal after every use so I do not see how this could be mould or mildew, which is all I can find online about smells. It doesn't exactly smell like burning but as I said, oily, plastic, chemical sort of odour and very strong. Before I book a ser…

I have a washer dryer which is just outside the warranty period and has failed again with the same fault with the dryer in this washer\dryer model. Anytime the programme is set to use the dryer (say for 60 mins of drying for a few towels), it starts and runs the clock down a few mins of I guess draining the drum and then timer jumps straight down to like 5 mins, never heating the drum or running the heating cycle and seems to be entering the closing sequence of the programme. There are no errors displayed on the LCD display relating to the programme operation. I would like to see if there are any error codes stored in the system, but don't know which button\s…

The washing machine is an LG WD1200D. After completing a wash normally, the next wash wouldn't drain (made a different beeping noise with four of the lights on the selection dial plus the spin speed settings all flashing). Water still flowed from the drum into the pump cavity (no problem manually draining the water) and the drain hose was clear. After a bit of googling I decided it was probably a pump failure (the machine is about seven years old and it was suggested pump failures are quite normal at this stage). Installed the new pump today, put everything together and it did exactly the same thing. Any thoughts, suggestions? Thanks. Ingolf

Hi I have a Bosch Classixx 1400 Express WAE28162GB/03. It did a wash but didn,t rinse the clothes off. I discovered that it was not spinning. I have cleaned the water pump out this didn't make any difference. With further investigation I discovered that the motor brushes were also low so I cleaned the motor of all the carbon residue and replaced the brushes with new ones. The machine now attempts to spin but doesn't it sort of does an 8th of a turn and then stops. Is there anything else you can think off that I can do.

Hi I have a Beko wtk62051w washing machine. During a wash cycle I heard a loud rattling metal noise. After the wash ended, I saw the metal tab off a hoodie had been ripped off. I checked the drain pump and the metal was in the impellers. I've removed it. However, the washer now leaks from underneath. Is this likely to just be a new drain pump required? Thanks in advance

Hi everyone, I have a Bosch washer dryer WVG30461GB. Recently drying started to fail - after a "Gentle dry" programme, I will find the clothes hot and very wet - arguably more wet than they were before I started the run. The machine initially says the programme will take 2.5 hours, however I noticed that when it gets to ~30 mins remaining, it will put more time and it will actually take 3 hours in total. I checked the pump filter and it seems clean. Also, there are no error codes. One repairer I called said that probably too much fluff accumulated since I did not really know I was supposed to run the drum clean programme often. And that fixing it now requir…
