My whirlpool ultimate care 2 stops midway. From internet searching I was sure it would be the lid switch so for a test I by passed it. Well it still stopped. All I need to do to get it going again is pull the big knob of and on again and then it finishes ?? So what should I be looking at next. The entire knob assembly ??? I imagine that is not cheap. Thanks Model Lsq9659lw0 Can the timer be sprayed with electrical contact cleaners ?

I have an Indesit IWE 7145. There is supposed to be a special internal cleaning cycle which as I recall is quite a long one - 2 hours or more. All I can recall is that on starting it, one presses the two left hand buttons on the Display panel. Unfortunately I didn't mark the web page when I found this a few weeks ago.

I recently changed the interlock as it was shorting out, but now the w/m starts and after a few seconds stops. eg, if I set to spin, machine will spin a few times then stop, if I set to rinse, the inlet valve will open for few secs then stop.!There doesn't seem to be any fault code showing, I've tried different programs, turning off and on, unplugging etc..nothing changes. My guess is the previous short has damaged the pcb. any ideas?

Hello, I've recently got a fault with my washing machine which I believe was my own error overloading it. It won't turn or spin I've read some other posts and I've checked the belt which is fine I've taken the motor off and checked the brushes and there fine and I've even wired up the motor to see if that was okay and that ran fine when wired up could it possibly be my Dc module ? Any help would be great as I've only had it for 18months!

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but my brand new LG FH4U2VCN2 washing machine makes a squeaking/scraping noise as the drum starts to spin then stops as the rpm continue to climb. The noise wasn't there when it done it's initial empty wash but started happening when a towel was put in and is now audible when empty. There's no visible metal or plastic stuck in the drum and no excess play in the drum. Empty - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylD6olTkCyg With load - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDKQ6IaT-lw

Hi, Newbie here. My washer stopped working today. Filled with water but then drum doesn't turn. It drains ok. Tried various programs even just spin after I'd drained it but drum not moving. Took back off and belt ok so reckoned might be bushes. Had a look at some youtube videos but they all talk about 2 bolts holding motor on. Mine only has one that I can see and another short bolt around the back. Undone the one at front and managed to get the short one at the back undone. All that happens is it swivels and can't prise it off. Am i missing something here or will I have to remove the drum to get at it?

Hi, My Mum has an old Indesit WIL 103 and told me that the machine was making funny noises. It turns out that one of the plastic pins connecting the shock absorber piston to the drum has shattered and vanished. Whilst looking around I noticed that there are a line of contacts and one of them is badly burnt / melted. It's connecting a brown wire so I assume it's a live wire and the connection just came away in my hand. I took some pictures of it which I hope are attached to this post. So, my first question is - is this safe to fix? The bit it was connected to was very rusty (now sanded down) so I don't know if it's just a case of rust causing a…

My machine stops mid cycle and the rinse symbol flashes. I've drained it, cleared out filters. It spins ok and finishes that. It rinses ok if just on a rinse. The problem seems to be when I put it in a full cycle - that's when it stops. It's a BEKO WME8227W

I have a slight leak from my waste pipe connection under the sink. The previous homeowner installed the kitchen and the pipes are different to what I've seen before. There is a grey pipe which sticks up and I've simply pushed the waste pipe onto that, as there's no other way to do it. Should I just fit a jubilee clip around the waste pipe, or do the pipes need changing to something more standard?

Hi, hope someone may be able to help me.. yesterday my washing machine would not spin or turn. Today I removed the motor and checked the brushes. They look to be in good order and not worn out. I replaced the motor and switched on to find the drum was now turning. I programed it to rinse to check all was ok and after filling with water the error E03 appeared : drain error. I checked the drain and all is ok I set the program to drain and it tripped out my electrics. Now every time it's plugged in it will trip out . I used a multimeter and checked the plug to find out I now have a short between the live pin and Earth! Is there on…

Afternoon, Our Hotpoint WML730 Aquarius washing machine started making a noise during the spin cycle yesterday, this coincides with 'grit' appearing in our water, whether it's related or not I don't know. When I got home from work the water was clear but small speckles of grit were found in the detergent tray, we cleaned this out as well as the filter, where I found 55p I started a quick wash and the washer filled up and the drum turned for a while, as soon as it got to the spin cycle it stopped. I powered the machine off a few times and tried various programmes but nothing appears to work. If I have the detergent tray open then I can see water going in to th…

Hello all, help needed! In my infinite wisdom, and against the advice (and tutting) of both wife and mother in law, I decided to take on a repair of our washing machine that required a new drum bearing fitting. Devil of a job, but thanks to the reams of video available made reasonably easy, with a cost of around £60. Too good to be true. Machine started up and worked a treat....Until the fuse blew 2 days later. After deducting that the fuse blowing was due to a short on the heater element (looks like a direct result of drum misalignment - probably due to bearing wear) I purchased a new element and fitted it. Cost around £28. Easy peasy.... Then …

Worked yesterday now today there is no power, it's as if no power is going in but I know that the plug fuse and switch fuse are both ok. opened up and had a look, the door lock mechanism seems fine no signs of damage the same goes for other electrical parts along the top of the machine, I have not worked out how to take out the front panel pcb but it seems in good order (no burning smells.) Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? All help appreciated . Best Hugh ps I have pictures if needed.

Hi. I have a <2year old Hot[oint AQ113F497IUK which I have been very happy with. Wife loves it for the 11kg load, with three teenagers. However it recently started knocking when spinning, noisier when slow. I greased the bearing at the back, no change. I tried reducing the washing load weight and using a lower spin speed, no difference. Last week, big bang, emptied water, but no drum movement but I could here motor spinning. Took inspection cover off back, Drum pully in half, on bearing, belt (unbroken) and half a pulley in bottom of machine. Drum and motor spin well by hand, no horrible noises from either. Believe knocking was probably du…

Hi, I have a blown suppressor on my Bosch washing machine. Problem is I am in rural France so getting a new part is going to take a while. I assume I can bypass the suppressor by connecting the input connectors direct to the output? Appreciate this is not ideal but it will get the machine up and running until the new part arrives. Thanks Paul

We got hold of an AEG L69480VF around a month ago (replacing a decade-plus old Bosch which finally died). If we use it for normal washes, it seems to do a spin and a final couple of slow rotations at the time its remaining time predictor has counted down to 1min, so we're thinking it's finished.... but then launches off into spinning again which may finish after 10 mins, or may go on longer (in which case we've stopped it after 15-20 mins or so just because it seemed to be getting silly; nothing should need to spin for that long and we were worried it was going to burn itself out), during the whole of which the countdown insists there's just 1 minute left. AEG peopl…

When buying this a year ago we was assured it was ECO friendly, on the electric side it is not so bad but wow it takes in some water, our bill rocketed after starting to use the washing machine. Also not that user friendly it is like trying to crack the Da Vinci code always coming out to wet/damp or the machine runs for 2 and a half hours, which can not be that ECO! but for a budget washing machine in general it is not that bad!!

Hello Everyone As I had mentioned in my earlier post that my washing machine had stopped working midway and started flashing enhance and on/off lights. I somehow managed to fix that by heating up all the soldering points on the main board and tapping all the relay switches. I am now faced with another problem while plugging all the wires into the heating element. I have no idea what that (see picture 1) interlocked connector called but it has separated (see picture 2) and wont interlock anymore. I tried welding it but solder comes off it. Does anyone know where can i find that wiring or how do i fix that problem? Thank you
