deeman47 Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Hi, hope someone may be able to help me.. yesterday my washing machine would not spin or turn. Today I removed the motor and checked the brushes. They look to be in good order and not worn out. I replaced the motor and switched on to find the drum was now turning. I programed it to rinse to check all was ok and after filling with water the error E03 appeared : drain error. I checked the drain and all is ok I set the program to drain and it tripped out my electrics. Now every time it's plugged in it will trip out . I used a multimeter and checked the plug to find out I now have a short between the live pin and Earth! Is there one Componant that controls everything which could have been failing and causing the spin error and then drain error and possibly now giving me the short between live and Earth? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp Posted August 15, 2016 Root Admin Posted August 15, 2016 Check the motor by testing between each pin on the motor plug and the motor casing to see if there is any continuity between them. There shouldn't be of course. Also try unplugging the motor to see if it stops tripping which is a more crude method of trying to track down the cause - Washing Machine Tripping or Fusing Electrics Need a repair or spare parts?
