Hi All Today my Indesit WIXXE127 was in a normal number 7 wash cycle, half way through we heard a banging noise but the washer carried on as normal. When the machine got to 5 minutes left it was still full of water and didn't complete the drain part of the cycle. I then put it onto a drain cycle and it sticks with 2 minutes on the count down timer. The washer will not open or drain the water inside it. Can you help? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I Have an Indesit IWME 126 Machine that has decided to stop working. It appears to have 'frozen' in that the green light at 4H is lit up and the door lock lit up but doesnt do anything. If left for several hours I have came back and seen the door lock light flashing but nothing else. I checked the filter and appears clean enough. The other unusual thing is that when I switch off at the wall to release the door lock - I switched it back on and when i closed the door it spins very quickly for a couple seconds and then return to the frozen state. Is this an issue with the brushes? I have tried to change the settings to spin only incase its an issue w…

My W1712 door seal appears to be rubbing on the inner wash drum and making a load squeaking sound when rotating. It seems to occur at slower speeds or when the machine is on a cold cycle. I have had the seal out and inspected it. It appears intact. I have checked that it is seating properly. I have checked the drum for bearing play and warping. The seal seems ever so slightly tight when seating it on the outer drum, is it possible the seal has shrunk slightly for some reason? And that on the hotter part of a cycle, it is more supple and hence does not rub? This is the only thing i can think of.

Hi looked in suggestions but see nothing outlining my problem. After a full cycle i notice most clothes have dry patches and are covered in dry powder which also sticks to the clothes that are wet. Blockage problem or more serious? Thanks

Hello,While using my Hotpoint Aquarius WMA40 it made a bang and stopped working. The drum was full of water.I have drained it and checked all the waste pipes for blocks and changed the fuse. It will now switch on but won't go past the "door locked" stage.Door locked light flashes and as a result, the machine won't switch on. I searched for Hotpoint error codes, but wasn't able to find any for this particular model (with six lights). Any suggestions what I could do to try and find out if the sensor is broken (the part the door hinge closes into) or if this is to do with the handle mechanism?I've tried putting some WD40 into the mechanism, but without any luck.Tha…

Hi, my electrics have tripped twice in a week and I've realised that the only common denominator has been the washer. It's a Bosch Classixx 7 and has always worked fine for the past 3 years. It trips about 30 mins into the wash cycle as far as I can tell, when the water is heating up. When I put the electric back on, the washer lights are off, and the only way I can get it back on is to pull it out, full of water, and reach behind and switch the plug socket off and back on again, always works. However, switching the 'washer' switch above the worktop does nothing, the washer has to be pulled out and the socket below the worktop which the plug is in switched on and off. …

Hello. My washing machine is about 3 years old and have been making a lot of noise when spinning for the last few weeks. During the last wash it also smelled of burned rubber and I found bits of rubber on my washing and by the seal where water drains but I don't think it came from the door seal. What could be the problem. Is it something easy/ worth repairing ?

Newbie post, got a slight leak. Had washer over and found end point ... But before I reach for screwdriver, does anyone have advice about where this 'might' be originating from/seen it before. It's not a great deal of water but the staining at least shows me I am not dreaming. Door seal is grubby but seems intact. Model: wmal 621 6kg Images: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1l0Ihm2JDe_IySR7bXDqgk2Yj7IJT8fNs Or https://drive.google.com/file/d/1as8MGu0zX8n76ElR_yrl07St3bDqwTyr/view?usp=drivesdk Thanks for your experience. After some repairwork on my Samsung WF 70F5E0Z4W I have a problem that from what I could tell isn't covered by the washing machine help guide or by searching through the forum. I am having trouble reattaching the gasket to the washing machine because: 1 The outer part of the gasket is glued to the front panel. 2 The area between where the gasket should go and the cement-block weights is about 2 cm. This combines to make is very hard to attach the gasket and to check the seal. Using a pair of clamps to work my way from the bottom to the top by clamping, moving and camping Again seemed to work but water started to leak pretty fast during a short test run of the wa…

Hello All, hoping someone will know the answer to my query ..... have just had to buy a 2nd hand washing machine, which came through a reputed charity shop and has been tested for electrical safety. However once home, realised that there is no plate underneath [NOT the kick plate, I mean the whole of the underneath of the machine] the machine [so just a big hole and you can view the inner working parts straight through it, whole of underneath of machine is open]. I was wondering if anyone would know if this is dangerous please? I know the purpose of the plate is to reduce noise etc, not worried about that, just don't want to be in danger. Thank you to anyone that may know …

After 5 good years my machine seems to have stopped spinning. It will fill a little with water, stop for 30-60 seconds, fill a little more, stop, no spin, then drain a little, then stop for a few minutes before the display shows it’s at the end of the cycle. I checked the pump, removed a euro coin and clothes tag from the fan, then verified it was free of other debris and could spin properly. Restarted the machine and had the same issue (although it seems to take on more water and drain more easily) After reading several forums I took the motor off to check on the carbon brushes. I found a good amount of carbon dust, but the brushes seem ok: look to be at…

I have a Brand new Zanussi 300 / ZWF91283W. I am also complete novice at washing machines. Prior to installing at the rear of the machine I am required to remove 3 holding bolts. Thereafter there are 3 plastic stoppers (2 large at bottom,1 small at top) I am required to fit to fill the holes.(see photo). I found the small top plastic stopper very fiddly and like an idiot I managed dropped the small plastic stopper into the hole at the back of the machine. I phoned Zunussi. They said that as a foreign object had fallen into the back of the machine then this could have a negative impact on the machines performance. Also the machine would not work with…

My problem is that I cannot open my washing machine door and I believe it is the lock which is at fault not the door's physical mechanism. I need help to override the lock or to know how to break off the interlock without damaging anything else. Key points Machine tripped electrics or electrics tripped causing an error message of all lights flashing. Machine was empty of water. The door lock light remained on, I tried every combination of cycle and the light always remained on. Leaving the machine off for hours does not reset it. I have cleared the drain. I have removed the control board and no v…

My Zanussi zwg6141p is making a whirring sound when the drum is turned -especially clockwise. Is it likely to be the bearings? If so can it be repaired? Would it be wiser to buy a new machine? I know some Zanussi machines have sealed units.

have a miele novotronic w310 front loader from the 2004 era. Been a great machine and hasn't done a lot of work (~250 cycles). Slight leak from front door seal. Noticed that there was a crinkle in the bottom of the front door/ drum seal. Not sure what this was from so took off the seal, expecting to have to replace it. After its removal I could see why the seal was distorted. The drum/ outer hub opening was not centred in the door opening but had sagged and thus causing the crinkle in the seal. With the seal out it resumed a more normal shape and was in fair order except for a minor defect in the edge that rubs against the door clear window. There is some scori…

We have a WDD960 which has worked fine until today when I shut the door but the display did not come on and the power button doesn't work but the machine fills continuously and when full water pours out of the drainage pipe and we get a vibrating noise coming from the filling point where there appears to be 3 coils (solenoid's)

Hi, my washing machine is not triggering the spin cycle automatically. When I use Normal or Perm Press to start the machine... the timer moves as normal but when it reaches the spin cycle, it just keeps on agitating until the timer reaches off and stops. When I go back to the machine, the clothes are just sitting in dirty water. At this point, the only way to start the spin/drain cycle is by manually rotating the switch to that position and starting the machine. It then spins/drains like normal. So basically... the spin cycle won't trigger automatically but can be manually triggered. Is this a problem with the timer? The lid switch seems fine because w…

I have a Hoover Ecological Autowasher A3958 which must be at least 15 years old. It has been faultless over the years but now it is very reluctant to start when I have selected the programme (Usually C) In the past the timer began clicking through the settings until the correct position was selected and then stopped. Water then flowed in and the washing cycle started. In order to get it started I have had to resort to pulling the machine out, removing the top cover and tapping the switch sharply a few times It then clicks through the settings and the process begins. Do you think the timer mechanism is wearing out and if so are replacement t…

I ordered a new set of bearings and seal for my LG WM-123111FD washing machine from buyspares. They are listed for the right model LG washing machine. But the seal I took out is much smaller so is the inside bearing. Looking on other web sites they seem to supply the same set of two bearings and seal for this model. How do I go about finding the right bearing and seal? I have pictures if anyone can help. I would have thought that specifying the model and serial number was sufficient to determine the correct part. Is there a service manual or parts list that would help?
