Peter
My Zanussi zwg6141p is making a whirring sound when the drum is turned -especially clockwise. Is it likely to be the bearings? If so can it be repaired? Would it be wiser to buy a new machine? I know some Zanussi machines have sealed units.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted November 22, 2017 Root Admin Report Share Posted November 22, 2017 Hi. If it is drum bearings the drum should rumble (What do worn drum bearings sound like?) and the noise should be the same either direction. If it's making a scraping noise check here - Washing machine making metalic scraping noise - otherwise all causes of washing machine noises I can think of are here - Washing Machine is Noisy Need a repair or spare parts?
