Hi all I know its an old machine but well made! I am getting Error 3 and the Anti Crease is flashing, so far I have checked the plastic chamber at the bottom of the drum that goes to the pressure switch, also I have changed the main control board, checked the water valves, what seems to be happening there is no water entering the machine for the first rinse so the softener is left in the draw. I cam switch it to final rinse and that is fine! the pump runs not very smooth a bit jerky should they be like this? Any help will be appreciated before both me and the machine go to the scrap yard!! Thanks John.

It is very old (about 15 years old) so is probably on its last legs but thought i would check if it sounded like an easy/cheap fix. attached a link to a video of the noise from the washer. Hello, I’m looking for some advice regarding a 10 year old Miele w524 which has a flashing drain light, I have been through all the posts on here and tried all the things mentioned, the machine has been taken apart by hubby and all pipes and hoses and the white box at the back cleared of a lot of gunk everything is now clear , taken off pump, all clear, still have flashing drain light at the rinse cycle , it worked on the wool cycle but this morning on a easy iron cycle same problem , it’s possible it works only with a light load , we also live in a very hard water area, I have it draining into sink now and the pump does work , so my question is really what next could it…

ECOWMB81445LW Beko. I'm maintenance Engineer but haven't worked on washing machines, thought i would get expert advice before taking the machine apart. When the machine goes in to spin cycle, there is a dull grinding sort of sound, it progressively gets louder the faster the drum spins. I have assumed this to be bearings, but any spares websites i go on don't offer bearings, any other ideas what it could be? If not I'm going to take it apart and find the problem, but would be easier if pointed in the right direction. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Hi I'm hoping someone here can help me with my washing machine problems. I think I've put this in the wrong area but DIY repairs was greyed out. Just doing a normal wash and the RCD gets tripped and half of the house's power goes off. There was a bang from the washing machine. After emptying it and running it, inside the drum compartment there is a blue flash and RCD is tripped. After switching the power on again, a flame is seen across the back of the drum compartment. After research I removed the heating element which was covered with calcium carbonate and proceeded to clean it with heated vinegar and water. Eventually the calcium carbonate came off but …

Evening. My Samsung EcoBubble won't turn on. (wf70f5e2w4x/eu). I have been through the troubleshooting section of the website but still no joy so any help would be greatly appreciated. So, I noticed that my machine had turned off mid cycle and nothing was on the display. Wall socket is fine and so is the fuse in the plug. When I opened the door the clothes were all soaking and there was still about an inch of water in the machine. When I opened the drain as per the troubleshooting guide, I found it was really badly clogged and looked to be completely blocked. Once cleared the machine has drained of all the left over water. However it will not turn on …

We brought a Hoover Dynamic 8+ wash in April 2011. It has developed a banging noise which I have invested to be the bottom counter weight broken off the drum. Questions are: Is it fixable by Hoover? Has anyone experienced this being the case, any anecdotes welcome Allegedly the parts are covered for 10 years as I registered the washing machine when purchased (is that all parts?) Call out by their engineer is £129 all in to fix it but if not able its not fixed and cost is £64.50 take out a 12 month warranty with Hoover and pay £16.99 monthly (12 months=£203.88) this would cover any call out and if unfix-able a new washing machine. Is it…

Hi all, We've got a loud noise on spin, like a banging. I'm doubtful it's bearings as it seem to start quite suddenly around a week or so ago, rather than being a 'wear' thing. Had the top and back off and can't see anything obvious such as a broken spring/weld point or anything. Any ideas or help much appreciated :-) Machine is around 6 years old, average family of 4 use. Doesn't seem good enough for a reasonable machine? Vid here: https://youtu.be/Pf99KtSYETg

Hi, Seem to have a problem with my integrated washing machine. I've put it into test mode and this is what happens... The lights all flash across for a few seconds. Then it sounds as though the pump runs for 2-3 seconds, then everything stops. The red service light lights up solid, not flashing. The Wash and Rinse lights light up green solid, not flashing. And the Start button flashes green. I've tried a few power resets and drains but not sure what to try next. It does the same as the above when I try to start any of the usual cycles as well. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance Ash

Hello, I wonder if someone might be able to help. I have an Indesit IWD61450, not too sure how old it is but probably 4 years or so. This morning I put a wash on, the wash finished fine and I decided to put it on it's top spin and left it. Soon after my electrics tripped on the RCD, I eventually put two and two together and realised it was the washer. I tried a few times to get it to work but each time it tripped. So I was going to take out my clothes and dry them when I realised they were very very heavy, so I put in just a few and the machine completed it's spin. I assumed the issue was because It had too much in it. I then put the wash on again…

Hi 3 months ago we bought a Samsung Ecobubble, which worked fine until last week when it developed a fault where it would run normally for a few minutes then trip the power to all the sockets in the house. Fuse, cable and socket were checked and were fine. We suspected the heater element because it would run the cold water, rinse and spin programmes without a problem, and only tripped the power when it was trying to heat up its water. It wasn't displaying any error codes. As it was still under warranty we called Currys and they sent out an engineer who confirmed the heater element had failed and had gone open circuit, and replaced it and it works fine now. I …

I have a Bosch Maxx 7 WAE24362FF/34 - very similar to a UK WAE24369GB - only a few years old. On all cycles, it finishes at 0:01 with a click-a-click-a-click noise (dunno if the clicks are normal or not - I don't think they are?). There is no water visible in the drum BUT if the clothes are left in the drum for an hour after it finishes there is a powdery stain on the bottom items - as though they have sucked up dirty water. From reading the forums I have tried some self-help - I have replaced the drain pump, run a program with white vinegar and run a few 90C cycles but no difference, I ran a 15 min express with the outlet pipe in a bowl at floor level but no differen…

Hi, i have a Beko WMB81241 LB machine. I recently had to install a new waste trap under my kitchen sink (which the washing machine waste pipe plugs into). The job was done easily enough, but now my washer won’t drain! If I pull out the waste pipe and squeeze it with my fingers, the water comes out in two strong streams, but without pinching it, it nothing comes out as I’d expect. I would presume that plugging the waste pipe into the waste trap would allow the waste water to flow but it isn’t. I have tried the pipe non its oennand with a jubilee clip but the same result occurs. Does anyone have any ideas please?

I've got a Miele W970, I think from 2001, which until a few months ago, never gave me a moment's trouble. Then the door latch failed (got Miele out to fix it, which was't cheap). Now it has developed a leak. I've knackered my rotator cuff, so I can't pull it out to get at the back of it, and it seems to be enclosed underneath, so it's hard tell where the leak is coming from. It doesn't help that the user manual is sparse and I can't find a service manual. It's not a huge leak (maybe half a litre?) and it only leaks on pumping out, though it seems to leak faster when spinning. Just from that, is it possible to tell roughly what is wrong? Eg whether it needs a new pu…

Hi folks, first time poster. my Hotpoint has stopped responding, ie the display panel is all lit but nothing happens when you push the buttons. Switch it off at the wall and back on and the lights just come back on and still no response from the machine. No fault codes or anything, just every light on the panel is lit. I fear it's something terminal, and not being technically minded I did all of the layman checks to see if hoses etc were not kinked etc. Machine is 18 months old and we only ever use the 1 hour quick wash. It had just finished a cycle when this happened. No flooding or water anywhere.

Hi, My Hotpoint Aqualtis won't fill. When powered on it starts the drain cycle, then after a normal duration the drain stops, but the machine does not fill. I have checked the water pressure from the inlet hose. I have replaced the pressure sensor, and checked the thin hose is unobstructed. I have replaced the fill valves/solenoids. I have run the machine without the Dispenser in place, and can confirm the valves never open. I have checked the continuity of the cable running from PCB to the fill solenoid, and the connection of that cable to the PCB. What voltage is required to open the solenoid? I would like to run the machine with the …

I have a Miele 1623 washing machine. Recently it has started giving a Waterproof Fault error. The machine is filling with water and is getting quite some way through the programme, but then the buzzer alarm goes off. I am guessing this might be at the spin cycle, but I don't know, as my machine is in the cellar and I can't sit and watch it! There are no obvious water leaks coming out of the machine. The model is cold-fill only, and has a standard fill hose. I have disconnected the fill hose and it appears sound, and water can pass freely through it. The tap on the wall is also OK. I have also disconnected the outlet hose at the machine end, to make sure…

Good evening Guys The washing machine suddenly stopped in its cycle today. it left the water in the drum and the door was unlocked when I went to it. First thing I thought was a blockage... but there doesn't seem to be anything... I know it hadn't finished its cycle due to there being the fabic softener in the draw. Ive had the filter out and checked the impeller is turning in the back... there was nothing in the filter and the impeller was turning. It selects a program and displays a time for the program. Shut the door and press wash and it flashes up Err three times and that's your lot... it will not do anything. Any Ideas??? Many Thanks Jack

I'm a newbie so please be gentle... Help me please - I'm going loopy!!! My LG F1480YD5 washer dryer is tripping the RCD on my house consumer unit due to water travelling up the pressure tube and spraying on the power filter pcb during the spin cycle. So far, I have (here we go...): Replaced the power filter pcb, replaced the pressure switch, replaced both impeller pumps, removed and cleaned out the rubber boot between the pumps and filter, removed and cleaned the filter, removed and cleaned the drain pipe and I have cleaned out the outlet pipe in my kitchen with is only for the washer dryer. When the RCD trips, I remove the top cover from the was…
