Machine not draining after new waste trap installed

Recommended Posts

Hi,

i have a Beko WMB81241 LB machine.  I recently had to install a new waste trap under my kitchen sink (which the washing machine waste pipe plugs into).

The job was done easily enough, but now my washer won’t drain!

If I pull out the waste pipe and squeeze it with my fingers, the water comes out in two strong streams, but without pinching it, it nothing comes out as I’d expect.

I would presume that plugging the waste pipe into the waste trap would allow the waste water to flow but it isn’t.

I have tried the pipe non its oennand with a jubilee clip but the same result occurs.

Does anyone have any ideas please?

Hello. New waste fittings have a bung in when new. Have you removed the bung or blanking piece from inside the spigot that the drain hose connects to?
