nick101
Hello, I wonder if someone might be able to help. I have an Indesit IWD61450, not too sure how old it is but probably 4 years or so. This morning I put a wash on, the wash finished fine and I decided to put it on it's top spin and left it. Soon after my electrics tripped on the RCD, I eventually put two and two together and realised it was the washer. I tried a few times to get it to work but each time it tripped. So I was going to take out my clothes and dry them when I realised they were very very heavy, so I put in just a few and the machine completed it's spin. I assumed the issue was because It had too much in it. I then put the wash on again and realised that afterwards most of the soap was still there and the clothes were sodden, my next attempt was to try the cycle again and this time the machine has turned off without tripping the rest of the electrics and won't turn back on. I'm no expert, what do you think? Any ideas? Thanks Nick
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted January 9, 2018 Root Admin Report Share Posted January 9, 2018 Tripping or fusing the electrics is difficult or impossible to diagnose without a specialist insulation test meter - Washing Machine Tripping or Fusing Electrics If there is a fault on the pump, that could cause water to get thrown out of the dispenser and run onto electrical parts. Or if there is a partial blockage in the pump the same thing could happen. It's not possible to guess whether the not draining the water out is because something electrical has fused and stopped the pump working - or whether the pump isn't pumping out water properly and that's caused the fusing.
