Hi, my 15 month old zanussi Zwt71201wa stopped draining yesterday, this was due to debris jamming pump impeller. Now that has been removed, the pump continues to run without moving on to the next stage in the cycle, on any programme. Have tried pouring water in the drum and pump is definitely pumping out into a bucket until it's empty, but carries on pumping. Have tried blowing down pressure switch pipe to pump area and a bubbling is heard. Have tried master reset holding down two buttons, going through each programme clockwise and retried spin cycle. It still just continuously pumps. Code showing is e21. I've kinda hit a brick wall and would app…

Hello there, I've had my Speed Queen for around 27 years, and she's only now started to give me problems. I've got the local repairman to give me a quote and he told me the following parts need to be replaced: Seal and hub kit; Top bearing; Bottom bearing; Belt; 2-double-hole brakes Given the washing machine's age, is it better to replace rather than repair? Also, the cost of the repair will come out to the same as cheaper top loader model. Many thanks for this wonderful forum!

I've tried the common faults section, and the wider web but there don't appear to be answers to this question. We have a Miele paragon plus which is shrinking clothes - no matter how low we set the temperature. The clothes aren't coming out hot though. What could this be?

Our BOSCH Logixx 8 washing machine (WAS32461GB/01) has recently developed a fault where it just shuts off after a few mins into a cycle. We've tried it with an empty drum and it still does the same thing. I've opened it up and had a look at the PCB as suggestions online have said to look if there are faulty capacitors on the PCB but they all seem fine and of good quality (Nippon). I'm going to go test the NTC, and see if I can find the TOC. I haven't tried turning it back on straight away, because if it was the TOC it wouldn't allow me to do that, right? Because of the lack of an error code and the sudden switch off, I'm stuck as to what it might be. T…

I've got a drain pump for my Miele W827 washing machine (non original part). It's generally very easy to fit, except the plug socket connection isn't 'keyed' like the original part. So now in theory the power plug, which goes into the socket, could go in either way. I am concerned I will get it wrong, and blow the thing up! The best I can think of doing is making sure the orientation is as per the original. Does it matter anyway? I hope that makes sense. Any advice much appreciated

Hi, I have a Bosch washing machine logixx8 sensitive ( WAS28760GB/14) it shows error code F43. The Brushes were worn right down so I've replaced them. I've tried the reset sequence shown online, but no joy It still bleeps F43 However my machine doesn't have the dedicated spin button they use in the online instructions, it has two spin speed adjustment buttons instead. If anybody is familiar with my version of of the logixx8 and can help I woul be most grateful. john

Can anyone advise what may be wrong with my 7 yr old Miele prestige plus W524. It is working through the cycle but is not properly emptying the water out on spin. It knows there is water there as when I drain it out manually and the set it to drain spin it the spins at full speed and the clothes come out drier. I don't think it is rinsing and draining properly either as there are still suds when it spins. We have checked the filter and the propeller is spinning and I can hear water going into the pipes under the sink. We have checked the hoses and can't find anything wrong. I can't decide whether go call the engineer or replace the miele with a new cheaper machine. Any ad…

This old Zanussi Aquacycle 1200 is running through the complete cycles perfectly, except it is not heating the water at all. I have changed ( unecessarily ) the element with combined temperature sensor. There is no voltage on the element when it should be heating. The wires to the element appear to come from the pressure switch. The pressure switch has two connectors, a two pin and a three pin. Water levels and everything else are working fine. Any help greatly appreciated, Dave

Good Morning I have a Miele Premier 520 I have had it since 2007 and recently it tripped the electrics. I also have a husband who is an engineer and he dismantled it and took the motor out and changed the carbon brushes. He put it back together again and it tripped the electrics again. He then realized that it was the heater. He has found some details as to the model number which he has given to me to search on the internet for a heater element. However the model number W552 does not appear to exist. I have been without a washer for a week and I wondered if someone could help me either find the correct model number or the heater element I need. …

Hi there I have investigated possible sources of the leak using the useful diagnosis tool on this wonderful website but sadly, my problem doesn't appear to be covered... Essentially, the machine leaks from the bottom left corner around the area of the drain pump as soon as a program starts and the machine begins to fill. It positively gushes out of the bottom into the metal tray that forms the base of the machine and I need to turn the machine off immediately to prevent a flood. The machine is quite old but as a supplementary appliance, has been used sparingly and has never had any issues. I have cleaned out the filter and removed and refitted the drain pump asse…

Hello everyone, New to the forum so if this is the wrong place please excuse me. So I received this Hotpoint hv7l130g after my old Indesit died as my dad had it spare. The machine ran though two usual washes successfully but after we switched to to "baby" mode for kids clothes it died on me. Symptoms: Door was locked and had to be forced open. Any program chosen to be run tries to start, I get a lot of clicks from the interlock and then the door lock light flashes. I assumed that the interlock had failed so I replaced it today with a new one but the problem persists. So I have had the machine in pieces, I have checked the following with the…

OHi, purchased Ecobubble 9/6kg washer dryer model wd90j6410aw/eu sep 2016 and in the last few months have noticed when the machine cycle is washing and does a slow spin and slows down the drum hits the inside door seal every other time the machine runs without a hitch other than this it does this just before a spin and just after and lasts a few seconds. Spoke to samsung who asked me what type of clothes and how many are put in and do i weigh them, i told them its a 9kg and he said you should put in half that and hopefully that will solve problem, i followed the re calibration he advised but still have the same issue. Need heads up if someone has had this issue or …

I am having trouble with my LG Washing Machine. I have had this just over 5 years, with no trouble so far. But now the washing machine is not draining the water in the drum. I have tried all the advice including: checked drain filter and no blockage checked drain pipe and no blockage. Am able to blow into drain pipe and can see water coming out from other side. checked drain pump and no blockage on both pumps. removed sump hose and no blockage. On a separate issue, cant understand why the sump hose doesn't have any valve inside and what is keeping the water from empty from the drum! tried descalers and limescale remover. Nothing. I have …

I am writing on behalf of a friend who bought this washing machine second hand. She says that it is taking up to 4 hours to complete a wash. Not only that but it will use only 1 programme, Intensive 40 degrees. It takes a great deal of water to complete a wash. She really cannot afford a new one and I wonder if anyone here has encountered such a problem with Beko 6 machines and if there is any solution. Thank you for reading Anniel

Can anyone out there assist me with some information on what the following warning lights indicate could be wrong with my washing machine? I have 3 'beeping' flashing warning light (no digital display) that have come on and my machine will now not do anything. The first light that is flashing signifies the 800 spin cycle and the other 2 signifies the 'spin' and 'end' cycles. All 3 are flashing and beeping. I've cleaned the bottom filter and checked to make sure none of the hoses are bent or kinked. I've also taken off the bottom panel to make sure there is no water in the bottom tray (it is bone dry). Any one got any other advice on what to check next, how to do…

Hi I’m hoping someone can help. I had a bra wire stuck in my machine for months scrapping constantly. Finally today I googled how to remove it. I went in through the heating element at the back of my machine and used washing liquid to place it back easily at the seal as I was struggling to get it back in. Now the drum is making an awful grinding scraping noise constantly?? What have I done wrong? Please I would be greatful if any help?

Hello all Purchased the model above (washer dryer) yesterday from our local retailer for €600. Transported securely in the upright position and carefully connected up. We were blown away by just how quiet this model is on a wash but then came the spin! The whole washer literally moved across the floor, denting the water tank as it went and only being held in place by the water pipe & electric cable. Even ripped up the laminate flooring as it went into the office! Tried reducing the spin from 1400 to 800 and exactly the same problem arises. The machine is bang on level (checked with spirit level) and is on a concrete floor. All rubber feet are down and level too.…

Hi There, Yesterday evening our Samsung washing machine (WF70F5E0N4W) was finishing it's cycle when there was quite a large bang and the drum stopped spinning. Having had a look through the troubleshooting pages here, I took the back off the machine and found the belt had clearly come off but was intact. Having refitted the belt I tried a quick wash with a small load and found that, once in the spin cycle, the drum was severely shaking. On further investigation, I found that this time the belt was still intact but I did notice that there was considerable black dust/debris in the housing. There was also a large bolt and washer loose in the bottom of…

Hi, I have a Bosch Exxcel washer/dryer. It seems to wash alright but when I use the dryer code F17 comes up. When I turn it off and open the door the clothes are very hot and a pool of very hot water is in the rubber at the front. Does it sound like the inlet valve (which is what code F17 seems to be) I don't want to buy one if I can't be sure.

Hi The rubber seal on my Candy washer dryer GVW496T has come lose. 2 bands fell out, one which I believe is the inner retainer but the other, which is a spring all round and much smaller than the retainer, I had no idea what it is. Does anyone have any idea? thank you

HI Samsung eco bubble 7kg, disassembled machine, when I took the drum assembly out from the outer rear drum/bearings, there was an o-ring (or possibly flat rubber) washer, half inside the seal and half inside the bearing. Judging by the shape of it, it has obviously been trapped and squashed out of shape as it should be round (well nothing that shape for it to fit on) . Not sure whether it's a flat washer or an o-ring. I'm going to get a new seal even though I removed the existing one by hitting the bearing from the other side (hence its probably ok) but as I'm replacing the bearings and spider arm, makes sense to do the seal too. I just cant work ou…

Hello guys. This machine is an Aquarius WDL540 about 14 years old. I suspect worn bearings and would like to know if such spares are available for this model. I am a Vehicle Engineer so it would be good if parts are available. Many thanks for your valued advice.
