Indesit Moon Flashing Light

hi,

can anybody please help???

i started my indesit moon on a 40 wash,soon as i started it i realised that there was somthing inside the washer that shudnt have been.5 seconds most!!i held the on/off switch in untill the washer started to pump out the water,then turned it off at the wall,removed said item,then turned washer back on to start the load again.now the power light is flashing and will not do anything else,all wash cycle buttons do nothing,and holding in the on/off only makes a 'bleep' but nothing else,i can not turn washer off by on/off or start a cycle,please can anyone help????????

Pressing and holding the on off button on the Moon for over 2 seconds should cancel the programme. It should drain the water and stop. If you switched it off at the socket before it had stopped maybe it's sent the pcb funny though that shouldn't really happen. I don't know if there's a reset procedure on these machines but it's possible it may need resetting somehow or even the eeprom chip reprogramming. I can't find any information on resetting an indesit pcb. Other than unplugging the machine for several minutes there's not much else I can suggest except getting an engineer in.

Indesit Moon Washing Machine Fault Codes - from a friendly and very helpful repairman.

There are 12 blue LEDs around the control panel corresponding to the numbers on a clock.

Taking the blue led under the middle of the on/off button as 12 o’ clock, the 5 LEDs that may flash to indicate an error condition in the middle of a wash programme are those at

12 o’clock – this is LED number 1

2 o’clock – this is LED number 2

5 o’clock – this is LED number 3

7 o’clock – this is LED number 4

10 o’clock – this is LED number 5.

The error conditions denoted by these LEDs and the red door locked LED flashing rapidly are:

Fault F01 – LED 1 only flashing – Motor driving triac short circuit

Fault F02 – LED 2 only flashing – Motor tripped, motor tacho generator open or short-circuited

Fault F03 – LEDs 1 and 2 flashing – NTC washing sensor open or short circuit

Fault F04 - LED 3 only flashing – Simultaneous empty and overflow conditions

Fault F05 – LEDs 3 and 1 flashing – Pressure switch empty condition not reached, drain pump blocked

Fault F07 – LEDs 1, 2, and 3 flashing - No power drawn by wash heating element

Fault F08 – LED 4 only flashing - Wash heating element relay has NA/NC contacts sticking

Fault F09 – LEDs 1 and 4 flashing - File setup error (EEPROM not programmed or faulty)

Fault F10 - LEDs 2 and 4 flashing – Empty and overflow conditions both missing simultaneously

Fault F11 – LEDs 4, 2 and 1 flashing – No power supply to drain pump

Fault F12 – LEDs 3 and 4 flashing – No communication between display board and control board

Fault F17 – LEDs 5 and 1 flashing – Door lock open or not powered (traditional lock not Easy Door)

Fault F18 – Microprocessor/DSP communication error.

The only fault most people may be able to handle is F05, usually caused by something, perhaps a coin, stuck in the pump. Access and clean the pump filter by removing the round inspection panel at the front of the machine as in the User Guide. Turn the inspection panel anti-clockwise to remove it.

You should be able to stop and drain the machine during a wash by pressing and holding the on/off button until all the blue LEDs go out. The machine should then drain and stop, as long as the pump is working.

I have the same problem as you have had. the pump stopped working and we found some debris and gunk in it. Now the on/off light flashes. Can you tell me how you rectified the problem please.

I just wanted to add my experience for other to benefit from. I had fault code :

Fault F05 – "LEDs 3 and 1 flashing – Pressure switch empty condition not reached, drain pump blocked"

Most forums/sites suggest removing the lower right inspection chamber panel and checking for coins etc. I would recommend this, however my indesit moon's filter was clear. So I pulled out the washing machine and tilted it back so it rested against the kitchen worktop and unplugged the mains. Going into the drain pump, and more importantly the inspection chamber is a fairly wide black pipe. I took mine off and inside this pipe at the top is a ball (I've no idea it's purpose) and mine had two small socks (my 2 year olds) wrapped around it which were blocking the pipe. To remove the pipe at the top is a metal clasp which can either be undone with a 7mm spanner or screw driver. Once off you can inspect the ball, within the pipe, and see if you too have small socks (or similar) jammed in there. I've popped the pipe back on and the machine is working perfectly. Literally took 10 mins to fix.

Hi everyone

I wanted to ask if the first question in this post has been sorted and how? I know it's been almost 4 years on this post but stupidly I have the same mistake (cancelling cycle and then turning it off on the power socket) and got the flashy power light

Turned it off the power supply for 10 min but once I turn it back on its still stuck in the same cancelling cycle just with the power button blinking... Not doing anything, not locking the door or even pumping

I am really frustrated and just want to find a way to restart the bloody pcb...

Hello.
I see this thread is ancient, and there seems to be different problems here.
But the original poster shirlianne and also Marcelios seem to have the same problem as I have.
That is that the machine wil not start, and that the 12 o clock light is on(not blinking), and if pressed for 2 seconds a single beep comes and then the power light flashes.

These symtoms are not within the error codes since the light should flash, and the led in the circle is on! Did any of you solve this?
Seems to me its dead locked in a program and I cannot reset it.
