I have a LG front load washer (#WM2016CW). I notice that after each wash cycle, a small puddle of water remains inside the tub. The clothes that sit on top are in perfect condition--they are almost dry, but the clothes that sit at the bottom are wet due to the water that has remained in the tub. My machine spins perfectly, makes no weird noises, and drains with full power. I replaced the drain pump thinking that it had gone bad, thus contributing to the water remaining after each cycle. But this didn't do any good--the water still remains. It is important to note that when I do a "rinse/spin" cycle with no clothes in the tub or a "tub clean" cycle, no water remains …

Last Thursday after a year of perfect use, our Indesit XWE 91683X had an F05 error on the display and the Push&Wash/ Start buttons were flashing and the machine was still full of water. My particular manual says to call an engineer if an F Error appeared but after a little googling it seemed that some newer manuals said this: The machine does not drain or spin or F05 error code in the display. • The Pump filter is blocked. • The drain hose is kinked (see “Installation”). • New Installation - The blanking cap or spigot has not been removed if connected under a sink. • The drain hose or sink trap is blocked. • The wash cycle does not include draining, some wash …

Hi, i have a 7kg Beko WMB 71442S which has just packed up on me, i have three young children and will call a repair guy but just wondered if anyone could shed some light on what it might be? i dont want to get ripped off so if i have some basic knowledge then it would really help. Its been washing completely fine until today, i noticed a funny noise whilst it was spinning out and then the clothes are still soaking wet but water has drained out as i went outside and saw water coming out of the drain pipe, and there was a funny smell towards the end of the cycle after it had finished spinning. Thank you so much to anyone that replies x

Hi, I have a Zanussi FJ1296 machine where I suspect that the door interlock has failed. The cycle kept cutting in and out and the door closed light was flicking on and off. The door wouldn't open when I turned the machine off and I had to manually drain it in order to reduce the pressure in the system and allow the interlock to open. I now have the problem where as soon as I turn on the machine, the orange door light is on straight away (and stays on) but the door will still open. The washing machine won't do anything at all at that point. It's an old machine and I was wondering if I could bypass the switch to get a bit more life out of the machine?

Hi, (I've had a look at the troubleshooting list but have already covered the points in there). We have an old Bosch washer-dryer, which has developed a draining problem over the last few months. In the middle of a cycle the machine will stop and display a number 1 on the LCD. I have to manually drain the water from the pipe at the bottom of the machine. The pump has been investigated and I can confirm it is clear and the impellor functions properly with no obstructions. The exit attaches to the U-bend below the sink, which also appears to be clear. A local engineer cleared the draining hose and connector, and said the problem may develop again due to the small draini…

I have a hotpoint WDD960 washer dryer. The dryer no longer dries. It goes through the motions but the washing comes out cold and wet. I removed the lid and checked what appear to be two thermostats on top of what appears to be the dryer unit. One of them is open circuit the other is short circuit. I think thermostats should be short circuit if not faulty. I have added a picture of the dryer viewed from above with the washer lid removed. The open circuit device is on the far right attached by a brown ( looks pink in the photo) wire. The short circuit device in the middle attached to a blue wire. Both devices appear to be held in position by bolts and have just the …

Hi Everyone I have a problem with my Bosch Exxcel W/M First fault was blowing of 13 amp plug fuse Investigation narrowed it down to Heater and on removal element was totally knackered/ corroded - short circuit Ordered new heater element genuine Bosch part I was told as no copy patent part available Fitted new heater and wash cycle would not finish - no error code. Research suggested open circuit heater and after metering realised this was the case Ordered new heater element (stupidly didn't check for continuity) fitted and still same fault new element is open Circuit ! Question.. Have I been sent two faulty Elements or is the Machine taking out the new elements? …

Hi, I wonder if someone could help diagnose the problem my machine has just developed. It won't spin. The LED1 is flashing green and continually while at the same time the LED 5 is flashing very fast (red light). The machine is making a noise but nothing is happening. Turning it off at the wall and turning it back on again has no effect. Be grateful for any insight as to what might be the problem. Thanks Bob

Hi all. I'd really appreciate your help. I have a top loading Electrolux Inspire EWT 14720 W. It's a Swedish or Finnish machine (don't ask!!). When I turn it on, after about 7-8 minutes the time remaining on the screen has only gone down by one or two minutes and then it cuts off. It gives an error code E10, which in the manual translates to- 'the water tap is closed, the distribution of water has been interrupted'! Some water is entering the drum as the clothes inside get a little bit wet, but not at all soaked! A lot of water is coming out of the drain hose. It sounds like it's just trying to draw in water and doesn't actually start spinning! I've just moved on to a…

I bought a used washing machine today and noticed a strange sound what would appear to be coming from the front bottom right hand corner. It sounds like something rattling around in there and only does it when changing from rinse to spin, after it gets going it does stop. Any ideas would be appreciated

I have a video to demonstrate. Easier than trying to describe the problem, but in my very limited knowledge of washing machines, to me it sounds like a relay clicking? I can't tell! It goes in to the main cycle and washes my clothes, but the clicking means it takes long to pull water in to the machine! Anyone familiar with his? I'm trying to work out if getting a new one vs getting this fixed.

Hi there has anyone heard of or know where I can buy parts for a Nikkie washing Machine the model number is BNKWB105? I see it was made in Turkey, This particular machine is only a couple of months old but the shop says there isn't any warranty probably because it was purchased as a reconditioned machine!! It is filling up with water and not stopping just overfills after many checks I've come to the conclusion the printed circuit is shot as well as the water pump, Not the water valve or level switch!! I wondered if it was just another name for a more common make? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ukkid761

I am getting a F10 fault code coming up on my Hotpoint WF740 washing machine, I tried a few things, Ive checked the pump for blockages this was clear, removed and cleaned the filter and ball, I found various bits of paper and tags and £ 2.16 in coins, in the filter, but after all this Iam still getting the F10 code. If anybody has any clues or thougths to what could be the fault

Hi, After replacing the tub seal and stem seal in our Maytag LAT7304EGE water still leaks from the bottom of the tub, the new seal dosen't appear to be seating properly, I have watched several videos and there are different opinions on just wiping or putting grease on the seal, also some say to run a dry spin cycle for at least 3 mins, if anyone has any tips to make it seal I would be most grateful as we are a registered childrens charity running a 60 acre retreat centre and we are lost without the washer. Thanks In Advance Stuart

Hi, I have a Bosch Classixx washing machine and need to replace the drain pump approx once a year. It's always the same problem: The impeller comes of the drain pump. I tried pushing it back on but usually only lasts a couple of washes. Is this normal? Is there a proper way to get the impeller back on the pump? Nothing seems broken. The drain pump is not blocked when this happens. No debris. Suggestions are very welcome. Thanks, Peter

Hi folks, I have been getting to know my hoover hnl 6166 on an intimate level for the past couple of days, having tried all the recommended advice on this great website, but still no success. Basically, it's stopped drainng. This is the story so far: -Initially thought it was the pump as there appeared to be an open circuit when I checked with my multimeter. So, I bought a new pump but alas no joy. -I can hear the pump (soft hum) during the first part of the wash cycle so I guess it works(?) but when it comes to draining the machine stops and I get an error message 3 (indicating not draining). -I can drain it manually with the outlet hose into a bucket on the floor …

Hi My Hoover Nextra washer dryer has been working fine for 4 years but now after the trip switch went off, it won't fill with water (the trip switch is back on). All filters are clean as per instruction manual. Water supply and hose are fine - no kinks or blocks and the tap is on. Power supply is fine. Spin and drying cycles work fine but not wash or rinse cycles. No water enters machine at all - not the drawer or the drum. I've followed all troubleshooting tips in the manual and online. I even bought a new triple solenoid valve and replaced it but to no avail. On selecting a wash program and pressing start the "door lock light" lights up, the appropriate "time rema…
