Greetings We have a Miele 765 washing machine are we have two problems 1. I seems when we set the temperature to half way to 85 or on 85 the water is too hot. Steam is created in the laundry room and the machine glass door is very hot to the touch. 2. There is a water leak somewhere either the detergent dispenser and or possible the water pump itself. It seems to leak more when we use the hot water cycles. I cleaned the detergent dispenser regularly. Please note the machine is on a wood stand which is mounted to the floor and the machine is mounted on the wood stand, which is very hard to work on. Any help would b great... Big thanks …

Hi, our Hotpoint Aquarius WDL5290 washer/dryer has suddenly got very noisy on spin, it did vibrate a lot prior to this, but the noise has suddenly increased. You can see/hear it here: http://www.mediasave.co.uk/washer.mp4 The washer is level and when turning the drum by hand it is not noisy, any ideas where to start? Thanks Tony

Please help, my washer has started leaking on the left hand side , I have looked underneath and the water appears to be coming from near the drum and the concrete block, it looks like it's where the drum attaches to the concrete? there appears to be some silicone which has degraded ? I have attached pics any help will be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

Hi. This is my first post so be kind I know there are a lot of posts already with the phrase 'my machine is noisy' but the symptoms I have don't seem to fit the 'normal' reasons. On any spin the drum is vibrating A LOT. The movement is quite excessive 2cm or so. It looks and sounds massively out of balance. I have checked the spider, changed the dampers, checked the top weight is secure (can't get to the front weight easily but that is my next check). The drum spins freely, no grinding or other mechanical noises to imply worn bearings. Checked for play in the drum by lifting the drum from inside and feeling for movement. It's not that complicated. …

The top has become loose on my washing machine and is therefore making a lot of noise when spinning, does anyone know if the fixing of the top should be by screws which I assume have become loose and fallen out or are there clips that should slot in place but have become weakened? thanks John

Hi My hoover washing machine kept tripping out the main trip switch on my house`s fuseboard when I set the machine to spin...fault E16 was displayed on the digital display of the machine. This means a faulty heating element which I replaced and the washing machine is working perfectly now. However I have a niggling doubt about something. At the rear of the cavity where the element slides into there is a retaining clip that attaches itself to the curved end of the element to hold it in place (I DO NOT mean the bracket on the rear of the front of the element which you tighten with the screw). My question is HOW do I know that the front of the element has engaged with t…

Hi, have a leak. I think I have found it but can't get to it. its on its side and I have removed the base and the left hand side panel. Behind the side panel removed there is a large oblong of plastics, the height of the dishwasher and about half as wide , about 2-3cm deep. Its leaking at the bottom, behind the door Spring mechanism. Thisnisnwhat I can't remove to get to the leak. any clues how to remove ? I can figure out the spring and string, and one end of the set up. But the bit by the door? Can't figure it out. thanks

Currently have a Hotpoint WMFUG 742. I noticed that immediately after an auto clean wash, that during a washing cycle (close to the end), the auto light came on (set by using Smart button for some washes) and the time to end went back 30 mins. However, the Smart feature was not applicable to the cycle I was using. Moreover it kept nearing end but continually the wash was extended. The only way I could get to end was to stop and put on spin and pump out. Tried running another auto clean and that was fine, but not tried a new ordinary cycle yet. Any help and advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello Andy. I can't believe that I'm making another thread for my new washer after the problems I've had - just when I thought everything was finally ok now this happens. I thought it be better to make a new thread to avoid any confusion. So I've had a Bosch WAN24100GB VarioPerfect washing machine for just under a month, and it was working fine until today. It was running on its 60 Cottons programme, and when it came to do its final spin, the machine suddenly cut out and tripped the mains in the process. I reset the mains, the machine came back on and attempted to continue with the final spin from where it abruptly stopped. The drum started spinning up and …

I am just replacing the heating element in our Bosch Classics washing machine WVF2042GB02. However I had to snip off the red thermostat wire before removing the heating element (attached picture shows wire in situ before snipping). I'm now not sure how to re-attach except by soldering it. The flat post the wire is wrapped round seems redundant as it's not connected to anything. All other thermostats for Bosch appear to have two wires and a plastic connector. Anyone encountered this and solved the problem?

Hi, not strictly a washing machine issue, but the interface is the same on the Ultima washing machines. We have an SUTCD97B6PMU Dryer with the LCD Panel and the cluster of program buttons (Same as a WMUD9627PUK washing machine) and our little one has managed to press a number of buttons so that every time the unit powers off now, it asks for the language to be selected and this is every time its been off for 5 mins or so, even if the mains power remains connected. Anyone have any idea what keypress I need to use to stop this happening? If i select the language, it runs as usual but as I say defaults back when powered off Thanks

I've got a hotpoint aqualtis aq113d697e, last week while doing a quick wash it tripped the rcd and since then it's not been right. I've read every article and guide I can but none seem to relate to my issue. The situation right now is, when I turn the machine on at the wall the machine turns on, the display does not turn on, no beeps no lights, but the machine starts to fill the powder tray with water. And it doesn't seem to stop filling. The actual power button on the machine has no effect I've used the door release to empty the majority of the water and the valve at the bottom is clear and free. But each time I turn it on it happens again.

At the end of any cycle, even several minutes after the End display comes on, the door will not open (door open light does not come on). To open it I have to switch off then on again. I have just realised that probably I had the Easy Care button selected, which stops it opening until cancelled! I didn't know what this button/light meant until I looked it up.

Hi everyone I wondered if you could help with an error message I just got on our machine. We can turn it on, all works fine but the machine doesn't spin or turn. I've opened it up, the belt is intact but just not turning so may be the motor? So it's coming up as h07 error which says that the there is a error with the motor or pcb. I'm leaning to the motor rather then pcb as it turns on okay? The machine is 7 yearsold, and as it's a Saturday I haven't had a chance to get a quote for repair but is it worth a repair or replacement? Thank you in advance!

Hi. We bought a new washing machine last month and shortly after the purchase we've started experiencing some problem. Namely, sometimes when "Mixed" washing cycle ends and we take the clothing out it's partially dry as if some spots weren't washed at all(see photo attached). I've contacted Indesit/Hotpoint customer service and was told that we may be overloading the drum and that can be the source of the issue. The thing is that the capacity of the drum is 7kg and they say that the limit is for wet clothing and when we put, lets say, 5kg (dry clothing) it's too much because it will exceed 7kg when gets wet. I've spoken to two different advisors and they claim the same. I…

Hi Yesterday the washing machine was on and while washing I heard a metal noise, sounded like there was a coin or something inside. I stoped pulled everything out and checked, but I didn’t find anything. Continued my washing and I heard the machine stopping shortly after I restart the circle. All the lights were flashing, the door is locked and there is water inside. I tried to turned On and Off, used the option to remove the water..... nothing works. Can you please help me. Hope to hear from you soon. Many thanks Luciana

I have a HOOVER WDXOC 485A Washer Dryer which is vibrating when spinning like the below video. All travel bolts have been removed and machine level. Any ideas? I'm thinking that the bolts on the weight could be loose. Any suggestions? Machine is only a few months old

Hi, I purchased new belts for my washer (Maytag A612) to replace the transmission belt who was slipping. The transmission belt is now OK but the pump belt is now slipping. I tried to slide the pump to the maximum adjustment but it still slip. Do you know what's the problem. I can reinstall the old one but I would prefer to use the new one. Thanks.

Good evening I've tried the search feature on the forum without positive results so thought I would post the question/query. I have the above machine and the other day the display went completely dark and there was no power to the unit. We switched it off, tried pressing the 'Play/Pause' button for 5 seconds and the 'Power' button for 5 seconds in various configurations but no cigar. I switched off power at the wall checked the socket and found the power supply is ok. Changed the fuse in the plug and checked it the one remove, it was ok but suddenly power returned and I could at least get the drum drained, which is done fine without any strange noises. W…

I have two Kenmore 110.44722401 washers that will not run unless I tip them back by putting a board under the front edge of the washer. Without the board under the machines they will fill, and might even start to agitate but will stop. The lid has to be closed for the machine to fill, and it fills just fine so the lid switch seems fine. When the first of the two machines developed the problem I replaced the pressure switch and it made no difference. When the second one did this before I realized that it would run if I tipped the machine I replaced the control board and it made no difference. When these machines have filled, if you raise the front of the machin…
