Damon
Greetings We have a Miele 765 washing machine are we have two problems 1. I seems when we set the temperature to half way to 85 or on 85 the water is too hot. Steam is created in the laundry room and the machine glass door is very hot to the touch. 2. There is a water leak somewhere either the detergent dispenser and or possible the water pump itself. It seems to leak more when we use the hot water cycles. I cleaned the detergent dispenser regularly. Please note the machine is on a wood stand which is mounted to the floor and the machine is mounted on the wood stand, which is very hard to work on. Any help would b great... Big thanks damon
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted March 22, 2018 Root Admin Report Share Posted March 22, 2018 Hello Damon. I'm not sure what temperature you are talking about when you say to halfway to 85 or on 85. Do you mean when you set the temperature to around 40° or 85° the temperature appears to be the same? Obviously 85° is extremely hot, and I would expect steam to be created, especially if it's a bit cool in the laundry room. The door glass would also be very hot to the touch at 85°, but obviously it shouldn't be that hot at 40°. Regarding trying to find out where the washing machine is leaking from there's not a lot can be said to guide you because it's simply about observing where the leak is coming from and that can only be done at the washing machine. I have written a very comprehensive guide, including links to more specific places the leak might be coming from here -Washing machine is leaking and that is where you should start reading. I honestly can't add anything here that isn't explained in better detail in my article. Need a repair or spare parts?
