I put this on the wrong programme and pressed the start button down for a few seconds as it specifies. I pressed start again and it is making noises, like balls rattling round and the drum is not moving. Anyone know what the problem is please?

I just brought a Grundig GWD59400C Washer Dryer from an auction (so no warranty) but seems pretty new. However having just plumbed it in it seems to have 1 fault. The washing cycles work fine however on entering the drying cycle everything seems to be going fine but after about 20 minutes the machine front panel display Safety then after about 30 seconds the machine shuts down. This happens whether you do a full wash/dry cycle or just a standalone dry program. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hello, I have a Servis M6713W which appears to shake quite a lot there is also a mark on the back panel where it looks like the motor has hit it. So I'm unsure if this the springs at the top on each side, the shock absorbers, both or something else. The drum itself is in good condition, makes no noise when turning and I can't even push it upwards but can spin freely but the tub itself is very wobbly but I have no idea what is causing it, the shock absorber seems fine, I have no idea how to tell if a spring is worn out. Another thing I noticed is that on this machine there's three marking for where the spring can go (on each side) I have attached the a picture…

My hotpoint washing machine heater element won't come out despite undoing the central bolt & tapping it through. The element comes out so far but appears to be catching on something inside that won't allow it to come completely out. Can you advise please

Hi All, I have this washer dryer and recently its stopped drying properly. Clothes are hot but damp. I opened it up to see if there was a condenser and noticed the plastic channel seemed very clogged up. In order to clean it I assume I have to remove the Heater Channel Group at the top which seems to be secured with 4 large torx type bolts. Does this all sound correct, doable? I tried to find a service manual but no luck Thanks for any help :-)

Hi to everyone. Hope that someone can help. I've a panasonic machine about 5 years old, used 2-3 times a week, so not heavily worked. For some time it's been temperamental about spinning. It starts turning the drum for spinning, increases speed a bit, then stops the spin and continues to try again, and again. It can occur with heavy loads, light loads and the error message suggests unbalanced, but I've tried lightening heavy loads and increasing light loads but it often doesn't resolve. Then other times, the machine will complete the spin ok. If it does spin correctly, I've noticed it 'struggles' to get up to speed, then suddenly shifts into a higher speed and gets much s…

So I had a Beko WDR 7543121B. It worked great, after 9 months the dryer started failing to heat. It got repaired and sorted. 3 months later it began to cut out during wash cycles. It got repaired. 3 months later, cutting out on wash leaving clothes soaked. Onto dry cycle, will run for 2 hours and not take any dampness out because it gets super hot and leaves every thing wet with steam. Over 7 weeks it had 8 repairs, replacing circuit boards, heating elements, filters and connectors. Still same problem. So my extended warranty replaced it. Brand new one today Beko WDR 7543121W same model, but white instead of black. First wash, with a 90 minute …

Hello The machine starts to work fine on the eco program, but, after about one hour, it stops with no error code. The program can continue when pressing the pause/run button, but it will stop again. To finish a complete cycle I need to press the pause/run button several times. I checked the inlet and the outlet water filters and they are clean. However, some times I hear the water pump works for a long time. Heating element has 25 ohm resistance. Drum motor brushes seem OK. I suspect a fault in the PCB. Is there some way to switch to diagnostic mode to diagnose the problem? I could not find documentation about my specific model on the internet. Th…

Hi all, Bought a house about 18 months ago, the previous owners bought a washing machine (AEG, 800 pounds from John Lewis. Receipts and invoice given to us. High spec machine / washer / dryer) 1 year prior to them selling the house. So the washing machine is just over around 2 and a half years old, close to three years anyway. (warranty was only for 2 years). Recently we've noticed at least once a week it randomly shuts off during or at the later stages of a cycle and refuses to turn back on unless I slam the door really hard. Just wondering if anyone had similar issues? What shall we do? I rang a couple of repair men around the area and one suggested …

I have a Whirlpool DLCE 91469 859234315010 Washing machine and seeing a leak I ordered a replacement drain pump as I thought the noise indicated the pump. On further testing I noticed the area around the water chamber (located back top right where the drain hose is connected to the house drainage) was wet. I have tightened and secured the drain hose but also noticed a small black rubber hose that leads from the top of the water chamber to the drum. What is the function of this hose? Is it some form of pressure release? I have searched but cannot see any comments on this. If this was disconnected (because I was testing I do not know if this had worked itself loose b…

My daughter has inherited Indesit IWC71452 washing machine in her flat which appears to be working, washes the clothes okay but she keeps finding a pool of water in the drum afterwards which smells bad. We've tried the following Taken out and cleaned the filter - smells disgusting but nothing blocking it and it seems to be clear inside Ran a hot service wash It's plumbed into the kitchen sink, checked the U bend which was clean and water seems to be draining fine from the machine. The conditioner drawer collects water also despite being cleaned If anyone can offer any further things to try before calling and engineer or buying a new machine…

Hello, I Have a Samsung WF8690NHWA washing machine that was unused for about 1.5 years (total 5 years old). I recently reconnected it to try and use it again but it malfunctions with strange power shutdowns. For example I tried to do a spin-only cycle to test it, when the spin ended but before the cycle terminates completely (1 minute remains on the screen), the machine suddenly powers down completely, without any errors or beeping. Furthermore, I can't turn it back on with the power button. The only way I can turn it back on is by unplugging it from the power outlet for ~1 minute and then reconnecting it. This also happened when I tried a full washing cycl…

Sorry if this seems long winded... We have had this machine for nearly 3 years now. However it is in almost constant use with nearly 3 year old twins in the house! This week, it seems to have packed in... When putting on a load, it performs the wash cycle, however it stops when time to drain and spin but doesn't display any errors. The machine drains but no spin occurs. We called an engineer to inspect and he thought I was being silly: "make sure you don't have any clothes caught in the seal" (we never had that issue). He then ran a service and diagnostic but found no issues as the machine filled up as needed, drained and spun slowly and …

Hello, The first fault I noticed was the machine didn't seem to work. All the lights would flash so you couldn't do anything, no change if I switched it off/on at the mains. So I plumbed in an older washer that has a problem taking conditioner. After several months I decided to hook it back up to refresh my memory before posting at such a place like this. Oddly it was no longer flashing but, something with the spin of the drum didn't sound healthy. A sort of grinding sound, so I kept an eye on it and I believe I saw a blue glow coming from inside the drum at the bottom so I turned it off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhXpnE5QX2…

Hello, This is my first post. I have a Hoover washer dryer (H-Wash 300 H3D 496TE NFC 9 kg Washer Dryer) which doesn't dry the cloths. I have checked the Heaters, TOCs and those were good. But the fan is not working. However if I give power to the fan separately it works. (Disconnect the fan terminals from W Machine and gave direct 230v AC supply to the motor.) So what can be the issue? How to fix it? Other than this issue everything else works fine. Thank you very much for everyone who maintain this kind of forum.

Hi I have a hoover dynamic next washing machine that stopped spinning. I took the back off of it to find that, as expected, the brushes were completely worn. I replaced these and put the machine on a cycle. About 1min into the cycle I could hear the motor making a sound like it was away to start then a loud bang that blew the fuse. Took the motor out again and checked everything was put in correctly which it was. Checked it with a multimeter and there was an open circuit over motor so I guessed it was broken and ordered a new one. Just put that in and its still not spinning. Will run through a whole cycle as if its running OK but it just doesn't spin at all. Np fault …

Hi, I'm having an issue with my Beko WME8227B machine where about 20-30 minutes into a wash cycle the drum is filling with suds and they start pouring out of the detergent drawer. I've read a few of the threads on the forum but I can't seem to see anything that I've not checked. I recently went back to using powder, and I was using some Asda powder tablets that I had left over from when I'd used them in the past. Popped them in for a 60 degree cotton wash with 2 bed sheets and 20 minutes into the cycle the suds were coming out of the detergent drawer. I'd used the tablets in the past and never had any issues with them, so I thought it could be that they're …

Hi I have having trouble with my good old Beko washing machine. Checked the normal, strainer/filter under the front kick plate, drum spins ok, and no leaks or apparent blockages. The fault started when a program was selected pressed start and nothing happened, timer never went down and the only thing that happened was the door locked. So Far I have tried:- Putting the program selector to 12 o-clock, then holding down the start/pause/cancel button while turning on the power. The first time I done this I got E17 code. I searched up this code and think it is excess suds or overloaded (strange never had this before and we wash with pods with…

I am getting a power trip. Can anyone please tell me what particular stage of the cycle the machine is at (ie is it starting to heat, etc) as it begins the second cold fill? Any information source on the different cycle stages would be appreciated.

I recently got a new washer because I thought my old washer was leaving stains in my clothes. I continue to have the same problems with the new washer. I keep getting stains on the clothes. I switch detergent from liquid to powder and it’s the same. Please help as this is very frustrating and it keeps ruining my clothes.

Hi, we have owned the above washing machine for about 14 months and it has always been noisey, more so during the spin cycle. About 6 months ago there was a loud bang during a spin and the machine turned off when I checked the machine over I found the the door bowl had deep guages on the section between 9 and 12 o'clock as you look at the machine. But the machine switched back on and continued to work normally. The indesit repair man came out the following week and checked the machine over, he acknowledged the noise and damage to the bowl but after a few calls to colleagues all he could suggest was some spray grease on a lower shock absorber which made the machine l…
