gingerhairs
Hi I have having trouble with my good old Beko washing machine. Checked the normal, strainer/filter under the front kick plate, drum spins ok, and no leaks or apparent blockages. The fault started when a program was selected pressed start and nothing happened, timer never went down and the only thing that happened was the door locked. So Far I have tried:- Putting the program selector to 12 o-clock, then holding down the start/pause/cancel button while turning on the power. The first time I done this I got E17 code. I searched up this code and think it is excess suds or overloaded (strange never had this before and we wash with pods with same size load it has washed for years) I tried to run the rinse cycle but same issue no cycle will start. When I hold down the start/pause/cancel button now I don’t get any error message just the software code number (so I have read). pressing the start button while the display is flashing lets the machine cycle through all of the test functions, drum rotates one way, press again it rotates the other, press again it spins, press again pre wash water starts, press again wash water stats press again rinse water starts press again the drain pump starts. After the test cycle all seems well, I turn the machine off and on it lets me select any program, but whatever I select, the door locks but nothing else happens. I was reading somewhere that open and closing the door 6 times is a main reset. I have tried this with both the power on and the power off. My wife was watching me opening and closing the door over and over and I explained I was busy fixing it. I feel like a right baboon now, and guess someone has tricked me good and proper with that one. Any help with this would be very much appreciated. But I already know standing on one leg patting my head and rubbing my stomach dosn’t work :-). Whitegoodshelp (Andy)
