Hi Andy I have read through your faults pages but not found the same fault hope you can help. I have a zanussi zwh7122j PN 91490492501. I have just moved, when I had to move the washing machine installed drum bolts and moved on it side in the car. When I installed in the new house the machine would not fill with water. Checked the water supply, which is good checked filters which were clean, checked the solenoids with a meter and they were both good, checked the pressure pipe and chamber which were both clean and good, when I take the pressure pipe off the switch and operate with my mouth the machine begins to fill so i connect the hose the machine fill to the correct lev…

I’ve searched the help topics & further online, but I haven’t found a similar concern. At the end of a wash cycle I found a small piece of metal, roughly 1 inch x 1/4 inch in size, and about 1/8 inch thick. It’s quite heavy for its size and shows slight signs of rust at edges. Its not recognisable as a piece of clothing, to me it most resembles a magnet for a door catch but that is a guess. I cannot think how it would have been introduced externally by us. However, we have only lived here 6 months and the machine is 9 years old so it’s possible a previous tenant washed it accidentally and it’s only just resurfaced. My concern is could something have fallen o…

Hi, I have a new Bosch WAQ284S0GB ( installed yesterday) that leaks from the closed soap drawer (from both underneath and from the handle) on the initial empty 90 degree cotton wash. This was recommended by installers ( who were excellent and from a well known chain of stores) to remove any grease/oil from the manufacturing process. I called Bosch yesterday and their response is that if this turns out to be an installation fault they will charge me. So I went back to the installers with this information; they suggested I run a full 90 degree cotton cycle with sheets and towels. The same thing is happening; considerable steam is issuing from the soap drawer …

Hello, I have a Hotpoint washer dryer. USUALLY there is powder left in the drawer at the end of the cycle, a wet gunky mess. Occasionally all of the powder will disappear but I can't see a pattern. I run a maintenance cycle every other week. I do not use fabric softener, just white vinegar. I follow dosing guidelines precisely. We are in a hard water area. I cleaned the soap drawer , and pulled it out and cleaned the bit inside the washing machine too (fine powder build up here too) , and I also cleaned each nozzle just in case. Still leaving powder! I'm not sure what to try next. My machine is built into the kitchen, it came with our 2…

I have a Hotpoint WMFUG 842 about 1 year old. Most of the time it is absolutely fine but on the odd occasion there is a small puddle of water on the floor which occurs towards the end of the cycle. It tends to happen on the clean out program also but again, not every time. I think the water is clean, it looks it and there is no smell and it seems to be coming out from the front of the machine. I just assumed it was the door seal but not sure as the seal seems fine. Does anyone know what may be causing this as it is baffling me as to why it only ever occasionally happens. Thanks

Good morning all, I have a problem with my Beko washing machine. I was watching T.V last night when the RCD for the kitchen tripped, the washing machine had finished it cycle and I loaded into the dryer. This morning I have checked the fuse's and they are ok. The control panel is dead and I am unable to find any schematics for the machine. I did some googling and it returned that this part (p/n 2817690101) is responsible for the DC voltage (Panel and such I suspect.) Can anybody please confirm this. I get 30v on the left 2 pins of KN12 and nothing on the right 2 pins of KN12. Any advice would be great before I go buying components I may not need. Regards …

Hi, I have a INDESIT 71250UK around 4 years old that has stopped working. The was cycle stopped at 1 minute to go, it must have been that way for 4 hours. The door was unlocked, there was no water inside but the washing was soaking wet. I turned the washer of using the off button, turned it back on, set it to spin and pressed start. The Timer showed 16 minutes and started to count down. There were no noises the washing machine didn't do anything. When the timer reached 1 minute it just stuck there. During the 16 minutes the door lock light did not come on. The light of the rinse cycle stayed on and did not change, normally it wou…

Hi, So I decided to finally replace my seven-year-old Bosch washer-dryer - the sound of failing bearings became too much to tolerate. I couldn't afford to replace it with another Bosch machine, so I decided to settle for a new 7kg K714WM16 washing machine from Kenwood. It's been exactly one week since I've had the machine installed and everything was going well until today. I loaded my washing and selected the "Cottons" programme and then selected the "Speed Wash" setting to cut the wash time down from 2 hours 45 minutes to 2 hours. I then selected the temperature (60 degrees) and final spin speed (1000rpm), and I pressed "Start". Unfortunately, after two hours the m…

Hello all i have checked the troubleshooting page and not got anywhere. we have chemically tasting water from the kitchen tap. After contacting our water supplier we have isolated the issue to the washing machine. I've been told its the non return valve failing. Speaking to many people I'm not sure what this is. would it be classed as the inlet valve and if so would this cause water from the machine ending up in the drinking water from the tap. P.S once isolated from the water supply the water from the kitchen tap tastes fine. Also the water from the bathroom taps tastes fine also weather washer is connected or not. Thank you for any help on this one. its a hot…

When I put my Kenmore washing machine into a drain cycle. The washing machine drains until the water level is below the inner perforated drum but there is still water remaining in the entire drum assembly. Is this functioning normally or is there a problem with a sensing line which tells the drain pump to stop?

Hello all, First time posting so please be gentle! I have a Beko WMB81241LW washing machine which won't start a wash cycle. The led screen lights up and the start symbol constantly flashes despite pressing the button to try and start it. I've tried unplugging overnight and manually resetting by holding the start/pause button for 5 seconds but it has had no effect and is stuck in this state. In diagnostic mode it brings up error code E05 but won't cycle through test functions. I have had trouble with the pump ever since an eco washing ball my father put in the machine cracked releasing small balls which got stuck in the pump. It wouldn't drain twice and I've removed s…

Hi! I have a Siemens WM16Y890DN with an IDOS. One day I could see that detergent was running out (from the "drawer" on the top to the left where the detergent is put). One of the two small corks was fallen out, so the detergent was running away. I fixed the issue, but what I also did was that I took the whole drawer out (see the attached picture) and washed it with water, then waited until it was more or less dry and then put it back in. After that the machine suddenly started to use too much detergent even though I did not change anything in the settings. The washing machine is full of foam now when it washes. So, I can see now that on the drawer there is a c…

I laid machine on its r/h side to replace water pump, also replaced door seal whilst at it. Then machine would not start, I have power, some of the program lights come up but it will not run any cycle. The door locks and times out when off accordingly but the missing thing is the door security light never comes on and I was wondering if this lack of light is what's holding the machine off. I've checked door switch, i've checked air pressure devise and now lost, it worked before I tipped it up.

Hi, We have an old Electrolux EWT-1315 and now it unusable, but we very like it. So we decided we will save our old machine. About 2 month ago the following issue appears: First 30 min. short program runs successfully. Second 30 min. short program runs correctly but the 7 segment LED display was flashing randomly Third 30 min. short program won't run and E90 error displayed. The service mode wasn't work, E90 error code was displayed. (E90 means communication error) I switched off the machine. The next day I repeated it again, the 1st cycle was success, ... The next day again. I disassembled the machine, there wasn't any water drops so I…

Hi Luckily it happened straight away & I switched the washing machine off, & so it didn't flood the whole kitchen! Anyway, I've checked the FAQ & didn't see a directly related answer. I pulled the soap draw out & it's full of soapy water underneath, the drain tube feels like it's full of soap or sludge. Now I'm hoping I can borrow something from my father's DIY tools to unblock the tube, but I'm wondering if their is any kind of valve or flap, or something that closes it off? Or a 90 deg bend that will make it near impossible to push anything through? Or a better way to unblock that tube? Btw, I'm a car mechanic so I know how to use tools …

Hi all! My 4 month old washing machine has suddenly started leaving black marks (like attached) all over my white bed linen . After the first experience of this, I ran the machine on the hottest wash with nothing in it. Then I put some hotpoint cleaning detergent in and ran it on the 60 wash (as instructions recommend). I then washed some white clothes in the machine and no marks were left, nor were they left on my colour wash.. a week later and I have washed my other white bed linen and the same marks have been left! Called zanussi who suggested either a lighter load or heavier load to test it before sending an engineer out (as if they find nothing wrong I coul…

Hoping someone can help. We purchased a new machine and it’s now started knocking (metal to metal sound) when it starts to spin, only briefly then when the spin gets faster it’s fine. We have an engineer coming out to look at it but I am worried they will say it’s because it’s not level and the call out if not a manufacturing fault is £160. I have checked and checked and it’s as level as I can get it but my questing is how level does it have to be?
