Bhavick
Hi, I need some help my washing machine has stopped working. What happens is i set the temperature and the machine spins a couple of times before it suddenly stops? It doesn't lose power or anything it just completely stops after a few spins. Any ideas what it could be? It's an indesit washing machine and it's pretty old. Thanks
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted January 23, 2018 Root Admin Report Share Posted January 23, 2018 Does it take in any water? If it can't take in water it will stop. Bhavick
Hi, When the machine stops and we open the door the clothes are soaked in water so i am guessing it does. There is even excess water in the machine that we have to get out with a cup.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted January 23, 2018 Root Admin Report Share Posted January 23, 2018 Maybe the fault is that it can't pump out the water properly. Have you checked the pump filter for blockages? Need a repair or spare parts? Book a Repair | Buy appliance spares (Cheapest prices guaranteed) Warning: Read this before attempting any diy repairs. Bhavick
Where exactly is the pump filter located? I don't know if this will help but the model number of my machine is - Indesit WG1033T.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted January 23, 2018 Root Admin Report Share Posted January 23, 2018 It's always at the front of the machine at the base Washing Machine Pump Filter There are other things that can cause the water to not drain properly too including the plumbing Washing Machine Won’t Drain Water Need a repair or spare parts? Bhavick
I've looked on the front of the machine at the bottom but i can't see any cover that looks like you can take it off? The only thing i can see on the right hand side is a small cover with 4 screws around it and two bolt types in the middle of it. Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted January 24, 2018 Root Admin Report Share Posted January 24, 2018 That looks like an old washing machine. It doesn't look like a pump filter is fitted. What make and model is it? Do you have the instruction manual for it? Not all washing machines have a pump filter. Need a repair or spare parts?
