OldMod68
Hi, we have a Bosch logixx7 that is 9 yrs old and it has started to smoke from the liquid draw and the drum but not every time, we usually wash at 40 degrees but occasionally use the hottest setting for whites and putting a cleaner through, any ideas would be much appreciated
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted January 25, 2018 Root Admin Report Share Posted January 25, 2018 Smoke doesn't sound good. The possibilities spring to mind. Steam mistaken for smoke, smoke caused by something rubbing and causing a lot of friction, or smoke from the heat source. It's important to work out which it is obviously the latter would mean you instantly stop using it until it is looked at. When is the smoke happening? Is it when it is filling up with water, or during the wash cycle or during spin? Is the washing machine noisy? Need a repair or spare parts? OldMod68
Many thanks for replying, it seems to be at the end of the cycle, after it has done its last spin, could this be motor burn but it doesn’t always have that sort of smell, it doesn’t do it every time and no, I wouldn’t say it is over noisy
