Mark Bagshaw
I laid machine on its r/h side to replace water pump, also replaced door seal whilst at it. Then machine would not start, I have power, some of the program lights come up but it will not run any cycle. The door locks and times out when off accordingly but the missing thing is the door security light never comes on and I was wondering if this lack of light is what's holding the machine off. I've checked door switch, i've checked air pressure devise and now lost, it worked before I tipped it up.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted January 28, 2018 Root Admin Report Share Posted January 28, 2018 It has to be something that happened during the repair. Did you catch the door lock or connections whilst replacing the door seal etc? I would never lay a washing machine on its side, especially the side where the control pcb is. Water could run from the soap drawer onto it and cause problems. If so it can sometimes dry out after a few days. Need a repair or spare parts? Mark Bagshaw
Didn't catch door lock, i've subsequently removed it and checked connections all OK, does the light form part of the interlock?
Mark Bagshaw
Sorted! decided to buy a pcb so took it out of panel and curiosity got the better of me so plugged it back in and appart from getting a lot more lights but not the door switch light; then realised i was holding it upside down. Turned it around, pressed correct button and bingo we have a working washing machine - till next time! thanks for the encouragement if nowt else, appreciated.
