Hi there, I have a similar issue to the one in this thread : Miele W570 leaking from water path seal between water inlet valve and mechanism behind dispenser - UK Washing Machine Repair Questions - Washing machine Forum This is how the gasket looks after disconnecting it I took it off to clean it and applied the following silicon grease to both the contact areas; eg on the input side on the left, and around the outside of the rubber on the right. https://www.toolstation.com/arctic-hayes-silicone-grease/p52744 When I put it back together again, the rubber gasket slipped all the way back to the protrusion where the nozzle meets the valve attachment. Hi. I've inherited a Hoover machine (1682d3) that I wanted to pass on to my son for his new flat. It runs fine but on closer inspection the lower counterweight is loose (bit of a give away when a bolt fell out from the bottom of the machine....). I've taken the seal off and it looks like its not just that the counterweight is loose but the mounts on the drum are also damaged? The photo is down through the door with the seal off, right hand end of the weight. I'm happy to have a go at replacing the mounting bolts but its not going to be worth buying a new drum for this machine. Maybe theres cracking in the counterweight too. Any advice would be appreciated - will it defini…

Hello there! I am wondering if it is worth paying an engineer to look at my 10 year old faulty Miele Washer Dryer? It is showing fault 53. The drum seems to be turning, there is a new rattle. I am a little handy but have limited tools. Are there any quick checks I can do to fine the problem. I have lost faith in Miele service team after a previous visit where the fault was misdiagnosed and they are still trying to charge me even though the dryer is still faulty (I think the problem is a sensor as the sensor drying cycle doesn't work but the timed drying cycle does work so I have just been using that). I would really like to not give up this machine but worried …

Hi, hope someone can help. I’m trying to replace the detergent housing on my Beko WMI71641. I ordered the part that Beko themselves have directed me to, but when the part arrived it was clear there is a hole in the side of the unit. Please see photograph where I have circled the hole. Does anyone know what this hole is for and whether I’d be able to install this unit without any issues? I’m worried that water could escape from the hole. Many thanks Dan

Hi, I have a Samsung 9kg machine 15 months old which has developed a leak. I've eventually located a hole in the plastic casing. This is 1" into the casing after the drum inlet pipe from the drawer. I really can't understand how this could have occured from just water entering the area. The hole is through a plastic several mm's thick. I am hoping this can be filled with a plastic jointing compound but would have to be the correct product so wouldn't wear away quickly. Any ideas? Thanks

First of all, i am not from GB but Norway 🫡 pardon my English After 3 day of studying i am on my way to give up. The Maschine was not able to spin up to his 1400 rpm. I check pump, bearing and suspension. Find a little slak in bearing and bad suspension. Change everything, clean and check pump, but the problem is exactly the same. Get into troubleshooting menu, test everything, all is okay. In spin modus the trumble gets 1370 rpm. Delete fault measages and tru again. Same problem. Feels like the machine wobble more in spinning mode, also when it is empty.. And when it start wobble it gives up spinning and reverse for a new try. In troubleshoo…

Hi, I have a WF90F5E5U4X/EU I originally got a 5E error code, I checked the filter and it had some stuff in it, cleaned and tried again, still 5E stopping and not draining. Since then I have checked the drain hose, the fill hose, I have taken the drain/recirc assembly off and cleaned the lot, this didn't solve the problem. I still got a 5E error code. I've now replaced both pumps (one was looking like it got very hot as it had made the inside of the case very brown). Now I get no error code but still no draining. I test this on the test cycle in the diagnostics menu where you can choose to test the recirc pump (this makes a noise) and the drain pump (I…

I've had this washing machine for many years and it has always worked faultlessly. The only problem I've ever encountered is that, very occasionally, the 'check inlet' light has begun flashing. I have always solved this problem very quickly by checking the inlet pipe for any possible kinks and giving the pipe as smooth a run as possible from the mains to the machine. Today, however, the 'check inlet' light has begun flashing and despite doing several checks on the machine and its water supply, I cannot solve the problem. 1. I have checked the drain filter and it is clear. 2. I have checked the mains water supply to the inlet pipe and it is normal. 3. I …

HJA8501 Washing Machine - Fills with water on every mode (Including when on a spin / drain cycle) When powered and when any program is active (any washing selection but also the "Spin and drain" mode which shouldn't have a filling mode at all) the drum just takes on water. If I try and end the program early (which initiates a drain) it will actually drain the drum while still filling... but the drain outpaces the filling. The water pressure hose is clear, I've blown through it. The sensor could be the issue but I would have thought that would only cause problems during actual 'fill' cycles and not just at all times. I know it's not much to go on but wondering if…

My washing machine is leaking part way through the cycle. I have checked drainage pipe and pump, no evidence of damage or that the leak is coming from there. I have just listened to the machine and the leak happened part way through cycle and almost sounded like a bucket/bath overflowing because it was sloshing. What could the cause of leak be?

Model WAT28371GB/01 VarioPerfect EcoSilence Drive The fill hose came off the soap dispenser causing a small water leak. So I removed both front panels and reattached the hose. Afterwards machine beeps twice and displays the door lock symbol. No error code displayed. I've replaced both the door lock and the cable (from Bosch) but it still does the same thing. The control panel seems OK. I can select any program and the correct times are displayed but soon as you press start you get the double beeps and the door lock symbol. I've tried numerous different reset procedures found on the Web but Im not convinced I have found the right one for this machine. …

Had this a few years and we had to replace the stabilizers once in about 4 years. Just my wife and I and we probably do 3 loads a week on average. It's been a couple years now and I am starting to get the uneven load error notification. I have reviewed the manual and I am fairly mechanical. My problem is I don't want to replace these every 3 years going forward. When it was new we did not get the error notification at all or little it was not noticeable, now it is more frequent. Big load unit, but we try to keep our loads to @ 1/2 full. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks. Brian

Hi, firstly thank you for this website. I have a Beko WMI71641 that I have used for 2 years without any problems. However, I placed 3 towels in the wash and did a cotton wash, simply with one washing tablet. After a short while I found that the beko had stopped running and the door could be opened. I took the towels and and drained the water from the pump filter but since then any time I turn on the BEKO it shows 0:00 on the display whenever I select a programme. Upon pressing Start, it will revert the timer back to a cotton wash regardless of what programme is selected but it will never actually run a wash or lock the door. I then held the start…

We’ve just had a brand new integrated Hoover washer/dryer installed and when it’s spinning at its maximum speed it’s unbelievably loud and makes all sorts of banging noises. See videos below. Does anyone have any thoughts on what could be causing this?! Is it potentially faulty?? Any help would be greatly appreciated! IMG_7281.mov a3c407a1-2592-4cf6-865e-0c70855f3d74.mp4

Hi I have a washing machine which is 4 years old and still covered for parts but will have to pay labour £119 for a Hotpoint engineer. The washing machine works fine but flashes and beeps with an error message saying "CYCLE NO CHANGE (i)" around half a dozen time through the wash cycle. Nothing appears to stop but I think something may be on the way out ? I have tried to reset the machine to see if the cures the problem but not really sure whether I manage to reset it. I cannot find what this means anywhere. Does anyone know what this error means ? I tried asking Hotpoint but they don't seem to be able to help so it looks like only one of …

Hi This washer seems ridiculously loud on spin (please see video) It’s so loud you cannot hear anyone speaking near it! Anyone any ideas if this is OK or what the fault is if not. I am sure it wasn’t this loud when we first bought it. (Out of guarantee) Thanks IMG_0524.mov

Hi, my Samsung Ecobubble machine holds water in the bottom of the door seal. I assumed there would be some sort of drainage back into the drum but I can't see one (there are three small dimples but I can't get a pipe cleaner through them). Over time this water gets quite stinky. The seal isn't actually leaking water. Is there anything I can do to stop this happening? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi I have a Bush machine that is only 2 years old. It has started to vibrate alot on full load when spinning.(Machine doesnt vibrate, it just seems to be drum) It also was making a screeching sound but this has since stopped. When I spin the drum I cannot hear any rumbling so not sure if it is drum bearings or not. I attach videos with it spinning and also turning the drum. Only cost £200 so will probably buy another if bearings but want to make sure its nothing simpler? Many Thanks

This is our 3rd Miele Washing Machine and replaced our last one that stopped working for no reason in July 2024. Miele engineer came out and to cut a long story short we purchased a new machine. He suggested sitting the new machine on a concrete slab as we have a wooden floor (all the machines have been on wooden floors). The new machine sits in a cupboard on a wooden floor, 6mm plywood, Amtico flooring, 20mm damper and a 50mm concrete slab. And still makes a terrible noise when spinning. The engineer has been out and blames the wooden floor for the noise. I have sent emails back and forward to the customer service team, but keep getting the same reply. The…

I’ve got an AEG LFR94946WS and it worked fine yesterday but today when I’ve gone to use it it’s filled up with water but the drum doesn’t move. The machine doesn’t display any errors and after a couple of minutes resets itself. I took the back off the machine and the belt is fine (plus the machine is only 5 months old). I’ve booked a warranty repair but it’s nearly two weeks away and I’ve currently got a sick toddler who is going through clothes and bedding almost as fast as I was washing them. Is there a way to get some kind of error report on these machines or even factory reset them in case of a software error? It just seemed odd that there wa…

We've had our new Miele for nearly a year now. It's been great, but sadly recently it started playing up. It doesn't rinse or spin just ends the cycle occasionally. Any idea what could be the issue?

Hi All! Yes, still got the HP New Edition WM51A. 800 spin speed wm. 1stly, has anyone successfully changed the bearing on the pulley end of the armature...,,? The pulley seems to be a shrink fit, so would need to be heated up (without incurring damage to the armature windings,) to remove it. Alternatively, and this is where I need expert opinion, Andy, :-), there is a pattern replacement armature assembly at DB Spares, equivalent to part number 1603071, the listing doesn't include my WM, but the pic 'looks' the same as mine Here's the listing https://www.dbspares.com/spares/hotpoint-pattern-armature Any thoughts please,?
