Hi, I have Miele W2444 Washing machine that has started showing the Check Drain warning. I have tried to remove the drain filter with no success! I opened up the little door on the bottom left of the machine, turned the screw cap which let out about a pint or so of water. I continued to turn the screw cap until it came off and was left with just the screw cap. Most of the demonstrations show the drain filter attached to the screw cap. What is left behind the screw cap cannot be pulled out easily and I dont want to pull too hard and break something. I have attached pictures of the screwcap on and off. I guess my question is how do I remove the filter? and s…

Hi all, This week I have replaced the shock absorbers of my AEG Lavamat 74530. The old shock absorbers were completely worn out. When I held the old shock absorbers upside down, they already fell down. The new shock absorbers are somewhat difficult to move by hand. Is it normal that the new shock absorbers can also be moved in and out by hand or are they so strong that it is not possible? I am asking this because I am not sure whether the new shock absorbers are defective. When the machine is spinning with washing, the washing machine still makes a little noise. I also discovered that a hole through which the spring is sitting is completely worn out, so that th…

Hi, I have a Grundig GWDI854 integrated washer dryer - purchased in August 2019. While I had removed the detergent drawer to clean it, my 2 year old daughter put a couple of metal hair clips in there - ie down the pipe that leads from the drawer to (I'm assuming) the drum. Will our machine continue to work fine, or do I need a technician to disassemble it to remove the items? I tried to look for a service repair manual online but couldn't find one, so I have no idea how easy it is to repair, though I assume if I tried it myself it would void the warranty. When I called Grundig they said to call their repair service (Domestic and General), but they wouldn't give me a…

My Bosch varioperfect serie 4 blew the rcd while on cycle (at least I think it was that what blew it) and now although the machine will turn back on and has not since blown the electric, all it does is shoot a small amount of water into the drum and then completely refuse to do anything after that. It wont do anything until I have drained it and used the manual door open and then will only get to the same stage as before when reattempting to start the cycle. No error codes are showing.

So we had something stuck in our drum which we got our but after this a small plastic part fell out and I have no idea where it goes or what it is. After we put the machine back the correct way up it just fell out so I'm not sure where it came from to be honest, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Afternoon all. Have a neff washing machine that has been playing up lately. On Christmas Eve it stopped spinning, washing and all we got was a hum. Checked the drivebelt and brushes and decided brushes needed to be changed. After installing new brushes all worked fine for a few days but for some reason isn't spinning now. Washing cycle is fine but for some reason doesn't want to spin on some cycles. The washer drains fine also. Anyone any ideas as it's quite old I believe and don't want to keep throwing money at it.

Hi all, our washing machine (Bosch Classixx) is tripping after starting the cycle at random times. It’s not tripping the power circuit (RCD) it seems to set off a fuse internally. After it turning itself off it takes a minute or so until the front panel turns on again. At first, it used to turn off half way or more through the cycle but now it stops soon after starting the cycle. I thought it might be related to the drain pump as it seemed to do this when it was time to drain the drum. I suspected the pump gets blocked and the motor runs hot and some internal resettable fuse just trips. I checked for blockages on the in- and outlet but couldn’t find one. Then I turn…

I hav miele w3164. During filling it start to leak thru detergent drawer door outside. The hose that takes the water from the drawer to the drum is not blocked with old detergent/softner residue, but the water goes too slowly, so it finds the next obvious escape, which is out the front! Pressure at inlet less than 6 atm. What can be problem?

I have a BEKO WDX8543130. Over the last 2 weeks the drying function has not been working properly. It washes fine. Then we set it to cupboard dry. It sometimes needs a bit longer so we set it to dry a bit more. After the cycle has finished it comes out soaking wet. It's happened about 5-10 times now. Anyone experienced this before?

Hello forum, I have a LG WD80264 NP washing machine, who suddenly came up with ALL LEDS being lit, and no option whatsoever (no button works, and no specific error code is on display). After 2 mins, it turns off. If you unplug it, and re-plug it in, the same "all leds lit" situation occurs again, with no button response (not even power button). Any advice will be highly appreciated, as we know we handled the machine with much care, and been so happy with it for 3 years now. Regards, Mir in South Africa PS I attache a picture of the machine, with all led lit, as it is PS2: I have read the DIY Repair Help, unfortunately had to come to the forum as my las…

Our WT 2670 is out of warranty and there is a burning smell when you run a drying cycle, the clothes are hot but wet. When this happened before it was a blocked duct over the top of the machine. It has been replaced twice by Miele in the past under their warranty. Is this a job I could under take and can you get the parts required? Looking for a cheapish solution as the machine is 12 years old and the bearings are getting noisy. If not what make of replacement machine should we be looking at? Samsung are offering a 5 year free guarantee, are they any good?

Good morning my Beko washing machine stopped working last week, the machine sounded like a cycle was about to start but as it got to the wash it would stop and the pause light would flash and the cycle would go no further. i called out an engineer who diagnosed an element and brushes would need replacing. Due to the age of the machine we decided not to go ahead with the repair and instead by a new machine. we have got this home and plugged in and it’s doing the same thing. the one we have now is a WTB720E1W i have no technical or repair knowledge but am guessing it might be electrical or pipe related? Any help would be greatly appreciated …

Hi everyone, my Miele W1712 recently always show up F53 fault, and the motor run faster than it should be. When in washing cycle, the drum should run in very slow speed, however it sometimes run in fast, which makes the machine shakes horrible. I searched on internet, which said F53 fault is the speed sensor. But I also read many people fixed the F53 fault by changing the motor carbon brushes. I am totally confused, how come carbon brushes issue is deal with the speed sensor problem. If the brushes is failed, motor should not run at all, why run faster? Can anyone give me some idea? Thanks a lot.

When using Delicate or Speed Wash cycles, there is lint in the clothes after the cycle. Is there a lint trap or something I need to clean to get rid of the lint?

Hi all, I have a beko wm74155lw washing machine and it keeps tripping the electrics. This has coincided with the door handle braking so i was wondering if this could be the cause for it tripping. Hope someone can help Casey

Hi, my whirlpool wwdc7210/1 washing machine drum seems to be off centre! Every wash i'm doing stinks of burnt rubber & I have found pieces of rubber in the machine, from the door seal. Looking online it says it could be a broken spider, spring, damper or something stuck inbetween the drums? We have checked all of these & they all appear to be fine, cant see anything that could possibly cause it to be stuck off centre. Any ideas of what else could be the problem before I resort to getting a new one, right before christmas (perfect timing)?

I checked the filter and found metal hair clips / curbees in there so cleaned all out and machine still making this noise ? Does this mean the pump drain filter needs replaced ? Thanks in advance.

Hi there, I've had my washing machine over 2 years without any problems until I came back from a couple days away. The washing machine appeared to be powered on (not on a cycle) while in the off position. The display flashes no errors but where it should flash digits and letters looks just like gibberish. As soon as I tried to unplug it the whole house tripped out (doesn't seem to be a problem now). It looked as though it might have had a power surge while I was away as the display looked scrambled. I have replaced the control panel but it is still doing the same thing. I was wonder if there was anything else I could check? I have attached a picture. Thanks in a…

Hi I recently repaired a fault on the Timer PCB on my Hotpoint WM52 washing machine. While reinstalling the Timer PCB I noticed there is a 2 pin Green push on wire that I'm not sure where it should fit. There are 3 possible options written on the PCB to connect it, they are PUMP, TEST and RPM. I'm reluctant to guess as I'm worried it may blow the PCB. Is there any kind soul out there that has a Pic of the Timer and the green 2 Pin wire or a service manual (not user manual) or schematic for WM52? Thanks

We have a new LG WT7800, which is a High Efficiency top-loader. On Normal cycle the fill level seems very low – with a small load, there is no pooled water in the tub at all (though after several minutes of "washing" the clothes are at least wet), and with a medium load the water fill is several inches below the top of the load. Is this normal?
