My washing machine started leaking about a week ago, I put it on a quick wash with a bed set in to test it & it flooded but looked like it had a few soap suds in it but not enough that there were bubbles. I've turned it on its side & checked the drain hose, thats fine, the filters cleared (there were a few coins in the pipe) but i did it earlier & it seems to be coming from the middle of the machine at the top. I cant get my hand round the middle of the drum on its side but the pump i can see going from the detergent drawer to the drum is dry. The drum itself is dry. I'd really appreciate some help, i'm really stressed out about it.

Hello, Today after 3 washes my washing is coming out of a wash with black track marks on it. I have run special machine clean program with soda crystals. I have also cleared the filter out (at the bottom of machine). I am now stuck for ideas. The machine is 3/4 years old and unusable. I have also wiped around the rubber seal. I read somewhere it could be the bearings but it's not an old machine?

Im a property maintenance engineer and ive been asked to attend a report of a IWME127 failing to complete its cycle. When a wash is selected it will wash but fails to move on to spin and drain But it will spin and drain when selected independently. Ive not yet been to the appliance, but want to go in fully armed. Can I also put this machine in test mode? ? Any help is greatly received. I am technically inclined. Regards TIA

This is a strange one, as the fault first appeared just months after buying the machine, but before the repair man appeared, it just resolved itself. Now, 12 months out of guarantee, it has done it again. The strange thing is that if you pour water into the soap dispenser drawer, after approx 2L the machine starts to fill itself again. It only does this on wash though, not rinse. What would cause it to suddenly fill with the introduction of 2L of water manually added? We have looked at the water inlet valve, but surely this would either work or not? All suggestions are welcome here!

Hi all Ive been scouring the internet looking for some information on the suspected fault my washer/dryer has. Its an Indesit IWDC6125. Below is a link to a video of the washer, performing the issue (at least I suspect it is an issue!) Washer Dryer Video If you ignore the normal noise, such as the pump and motor etc, listen out for (every 10 seconds or so), a jet of water being blasted into the detergent drawer. The machine does this, continuously whilst on drying mode. It currently performs all other functions without issue and even dries clothes with no problem too, even with this weird waster jet noise every few seconds. Any idea what it could be? Most importantly…

Hello all, No water entering machine although both hot & cold supply service is good. Machine has not been run for over 12months. Frustrating day removing and cleaning both hot & cold water solenoid valves. Both appeared clean and in good condition. When I switch on the machine to any cycle, I get a "click" noise, then nothing. When I spun the programme dial while it was switched on it tripped the mains power at the distribution board. Thought I should seek some further advice. Confused why it would throw the mains. Is it likely to be the pressure switch?

Hello, I have a two or three year old Indesit IWB 5123 which suddenly developed this fault. During one of the washings once it entered the spinning cycle the drum started to make a loud banging noise and it stayed like that since then. There is a lot of sideways movement to the point that the drum can hit something behind it. In this thread one user suggested that a bolt somewhere near the rear weight block may have loosened. Is this what you think it is? Here are couple of videos: * starting the spinning cycle * front to back movement Thanks!

Hello all, I have just replaced my Samsung drain pump (DC31-000) for the second time in 2 months. The original pump, lasted 6 years. When I took the motor apart, I found the magnet cracked and expanded causing the pump to get stuck. The second pump did the same thing, but in less than 2 months. Does anyone have any idea of what is causes this ? Thanks, Scot

Hello I bought this LG washing machine a couple of months ago & the 1st few washes went very well & cleaned my clothes very nicely. However, after about the 5th or 6th wash, I got an OE error code, so generically saying the pump is blocked. I went into the manual to try & clean out the pump filter & manually remove the water that hadn't drained. I did this but when I tried to put the emergency drain hose back in, it fell through a hole into the back of the machine & I couldn't get it back. I had to take off the whole of the front cover & retrieved the hose & fixed it back in its original state, hoping that was enough for me to continue suc…

Hi guys, Totally new the forums. I've just come across you whilst trying to work out whether the behaviour of our brand new, supplier-installed Hotpoint washer/dryer is normal or not.. It seems as though the machine frequently gets stuck in this cycle of filling, rotating the drum a few times, pausing, and starting filling with water again to repeat. You never actually see much in the way of water inside the drum, and it seems as though it will quite merrily do this for hours at a time. It also doesn't seem to take the fabric softener from the tray. I've taken a short video here: For context, this is on the 40° cotton cycle, about 150 minutes…

hi, i hope you are well. i have a DYN8164D-80 with a e09 fault. from a bit of googling, i believe this to be a circuit board fault (motor triac issue, usually caused by a circuit board failure is one thing i have read on here) it recently had a huge issue when i had put some car foot mats in it and man did it get clogged up. ive cleaned it all out and its been fine for about 6 weeks. i have notice there is a split in the rubber seal on the drum...but ive been on holiday and havent got round to fixing it....so yesterday whilst it was doing a spin it made a horrendous noise (like a really loud ppffffht!), stopped working and the front panel lcd started flashing on …

Hi I have a Indesit Innex washing machine that has a pitifully slow spins peed on short washes. Is is possible to fit a new switch/dial that you can by pass the set spin speed and set a higher speed or is it all in a chip and cannot be altered?

I just moved to a new house that has a Hotpoint 7kg washing machine. Like this one http://www.hotpoint.co.uk/product-details/-/details/washing_machines/BUILT_IN_BHWMD_742/F078614 (no the builtin) I put a pair of sheets in one of the strong programs , 60 degrees for whites. Initially I didn't notice it, but then I put a white jacket at the same program and the sheets and the jacket came out with a light blue color. At the sheets it wasn't that noticeable at the begining, but now it is. The jacket has definitely taken a light blue color. How is it possible that the washing machine colors cloths without having any other blue garment inside? Any suggestions on how to fix …

Hi, Had the washer on this morning when it started to make a dreadful clunking sound when spinning (it was obviously spinning slowly and struggling). It sounded like I'd put a brick in there by accident! I stopped it and removed the load - nothing untoward, just an average load - but now the drum won't turn at all, even when the washer is off and empty. It still fills/empties as normal when I try a programme. Please can anyone tell me what's likely to be wrong? The washer is a Hoover 'New Wave' - and 16 years old - so perhaps someone can tell me whether it would be worth repairing? It's done me proud with never a fault so far. Many thanks!

Hi, I have been given a machine that I was going to scrap and use the drum for a fire pit but I have noticed that it is in good condition generally. I asked the previous owner what was wrong with it and they said the door catch is broke and it made a loud noise when washing. Attached is a pic of the wires that go down to the interlock. Is it possible to find out which of these are common live and earth by testing with an ohm meter ? Also can I bypass the interlock so that I can check out what the loud noise is so that I can work out if it's worth repairing? Is it possible to by a new wire and connector lead if so where might I get one? One last thing , there are no s…

Hi all, I currently have an Indesit IWDC6125. Our standard wash cycle is currently going: Wash cycle (solid green) Rinse cycle (solid green) Spin cycle (solid green) Returns to wash cycle (flashing green) The wash stays on this cycle indefinitely until the machine is switched off. We currently put it on a manual spin cycle and the washing machine moves through this and ends normally. Why won't the machine do this when they move into the spin cycle in the standard wash? Appreciate any tips! Thanks, Kevin

Hello, My GE washing machine won't spin, but it will agitate, fill and drain. I've done some work already and I know this: The motor is fine, it spins when it's on spin mode, but the basket doesn't. I took the belt off and gave it a go while it was on it's back with the clutch off, and the motor's shaft spins perfectly. For the transmission however, if I try to rotate the pulley counter-clockwise manually it turns fine, but if I try to turn it clockwise, it barely turns and just kind of blocks there. When everything is assembled and I'm using the washing machine as I normally would, when the machine is on spin cycle it does the same as the transmission pulley, it ba…

Hi, my machine has started suffering from excessive foaming. I've read the two previous forum threads and this article and can't seem to resolve the issue. I've cleaned the filter and drawer, run a rinse and maintenance cycle. The problem has only started occurring in the last week on three washes using the same detergent as I've been using for some time. Two of the washes were with the same sports gear I've been washing in there for the last year, so loading hasn't changed. The problem appears to be that foam is building up in the front of the machine on the door and not being removed at the same time as the foam in the drum. Then when it rinses and spins it's just whipp…

LG WM2277HS WORKS FINE UP UNTIL THERE ARE 10 MIN. LEFT IN THE CYCLE. IT WILL ROTATE TUB 5 SEC. IN ONE DIRECTION, THEN THE OPPOSITE WAY FOR 5 SEC. THIS GOES ON QUITE A WHILE, WHILE THE CLOCK NEVER CONTINUES TO COUNT DOWN,(STAYS AT 10 MIN.) THUS NEVER GOES INTO HIGH SPIN MODE( NORMALLY AT 9 MIN. LEFT IN CYCLE.) THEN FLASHING UE CODE APPEARS AND I END UP WITH VERY WET LOAD OF CLOTHES. THANKS FOR ANY SUGGESTIONS.

Hi All, I have a Samsung Ecobubble WF1602W5S which has worked fine for about 3 years now. My wife recently washed a load much heavier than the recommended load which seems to have damaged something at the back of the drum. You can read my discovery thread here (posting while working) https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/251958/Drum+struggles+to+spin As you can see no one has answered me over there so though I would look for help here. As per my last update in that thread, I have opened the back and can see the motor is spinning, the belt has tension and is spinning the spindle behind the drum, however the connection between the spindle and the drum itself seems to be t…

Hi, I'd really like some advice. I have a Hotpoint WD860 with a F-01 fault. The machine turns on fine, you can select a program. Then as soon as the program starts the pump kicks in and it flashes END and then F-01. The pump remains ON. And you can't turn the machine off extra by the plug. Any ideas of what could be wrong and whether I can replace the part? Thanks a lot. Hugh
