richardmc85
Hi allIve been scouring the internet looking for some information on the suspected fault my washer/dryer has.Its an Indesit IWDC6125. Below is a link to a video of the washer, performing the issue (at least I suspect it is an issue!)Washer Dryer Video If you ignore the normal noise, such as the pump and motor etc, listen out for (every 10 seconds or so), a jet of water being blasted into the detergent drawer. The machine does this, continuously whilst on drying mode. It currently performs all other functions without issue and even dries clothes with no problem too, even with this weird waster jet noise every few seconds. Any idea what it could be? Most importantly, is it normal? Should I be getting in touch with Indesit (again) to report the problem? Thanks for any help. Regards
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted October 20, 2015 Root Admin Report Share Posted October 20, 2015 It sounds weird, have you had this machine long? Is it a new sound? All condenser washer dryers let water in during the dry cycle. It's how the steam from drying gets condensed back into water. However, they usually just trickle the water into a condenser chamber very slowly. That sounds more like the valve is being energised for a split second due to some fault. Low insulation faults can cause some strange faults. It could be a pcb issue too, it may need checking by an engineer with a proper insulation test meter. Need a repair or spare parts?
