My Bosch WFF 2001 won't wash But when I switch it on and Press Both the Pr Wash Button and the Start Button the Machine, instead of starting up the wash cycle. instead of doing this the Drum starts to spin as if to spin dry and will continue doing so until the Cycle has Finished I thought at first that it could be the Circuit Board that May be the Problem But I'm Not Sure: There was a Rapid Clicking sound Of which would Click, this would Go on until I switched off the Machine About two Months ago I replaced two New Carbon Brushes on the Motor due to it Not working at all: The Machine has been working Properly until Last week Is there anyone that has had the same Problem …

My Hotpoint washing machine has been turning off at the end of the cycle, and I have to keep turning it on to finish the cycle, multiple times. Only happens at the last 30 minutes of the cycle. I notice that whenever the machine is shaken, whether by someone (when it is on but resting) or by the spinning/ rinsing (mid cycle), it goes off with no error code, just off. I think it's the vibration that loosens something and turns it off. Tried to open the top, but nothing loosen. Any suggestions to fix this thing, as I want to try to fix it first before spending on a new one.

Hi, I'm new on here, so go easy My Bosch Washer is taking 2.5 hours to complete it's cycle, even with the "Reduced Time" Button engaged(Lit up). It's on a regular 40 C Wash (Cotton/Linens). I'm sure it never took this long before. The drum is usually half to 3/4 full so not overloading. I assume that as the Reduced Time light comes on, but does not actually reduce time there is something wrong with the electronic side of the programme? The Washer is about 5 years old. Any help? Edit:Forgot to say, there is no other fault, the washing comes out OK. Thanks.

I can't see this answered in FAQs. I am trying to get the filter open on my Bosch Exxcel 8 / WAQ28461GB. I have checked various online resources but none of them seem to match our machine. With the front panel off I can use the mini hose to drain but I can't get the filter open. In videos that I have found, the filter cap twists anti-clockwise for a couple of turns before pulling out easily. On ours, there is a moulded plastic tab at the top of the panel that stops the cap doing a full turn - so it goes almost all the way around, releasing water but it does not let me pull the filter out. It turns quite stiffly and there is no point where it feels like it should pul…

Hello, We have a Beko ECO WMB 81445LW that is about two and a half years old. It has stopped draining. I have checked the filter and taken apart the motor and there are no blockages. I have blown down the pressure switch tube and that seems clear. The test function is showing a "04 17" error code. At one point it also flashed up an F8 error code. I have sent two emails to Beko asking about the error code and got no reply (not very good after sales support). Can anyone suggest what the problem might be. The pump motors are quite expensive so I don't want to buy one on spec. Thanks.

Can anyone help me with this motor, the zwf1420w washing machine is showing an error code of 5flashes on the end led and 1flash on the start led. Is this a motor fault as the drum is not turning. The bearings were getting noisey and I ordered new ones with a new tub seal and changed the interlock then the error code changed so have not changed the bearings yet. I thought it could be brushes on the motor but no brushes are listed as parts for this motor. What should I do? A new motor seams ridiculous in price after the cost of the bearings, tub seal and interlock. But I really wanted to fix this machine.

Hi, A couple of months ago my Hoover DYN 9144DG machine stopped working so I used this site to diagnose and replace worn carbon brushes (thanks!). These brushes lasted only a couple of months, I assumed because they were 'compatible' parts rather than genuine ones, so I bought and fitted the genuine ones. Since then the machine has failed to spin after washing and clothes are coming out soaking. I've followed the diagnostic advice on this website and found a lot of sparking coming from the brushes (clear reflection onto a not too light floor) so I have pulled it all apart and found them to be in contact but worn in such a way to make me suspect the commutator (if…

This is a fairly old machine 10 or 11 years or so, and I've managed to keep it going quite successfully until recently, when it developed a fault in the spin cycle, it would not spin up to fast speed, it would start to spin for a few seconds then power down again, then it would click and after another few seconds it repeats the same process, the timer stays where it is and it just does the same over and over. Now I thought to myself, as the timer is not going round, it must be faulty, new (second hand) timer off ebay, same problem does exactly the same. Thought I'd check the pressure system, quite a bit of gunk in the chamber, cleaned that out, checked switch, seems to be…

Ok, had I found this site earlier, I might have seen the warning notes and avoided this problem - my mistake :-( I have a AEG L14850. I took the entire door off in order to replace a cracked outer ring. When I was trying to screw the hinge back on I dislodged the 'back plate' ,which dropped down inside the machine :-( Now, how do I get inside to retrieve it? Do I have to drag the whole machine out from under the worktop and remove the top, or can I just take the front panel off? If the latter, than how is that done, as some of the screws appear to be hidden behind the control panel or the bottom 'kick plate'. I have got the AEG 'exploded diagrams' for the …

This isn't so much a question as a repair report, hope that's appropriate. I've spent the last couple of days exploring this machine which was making a very rough buzzing noise. Having decided that the problem was the drain pump (smelly water, washing wetter than expected, development of noise) I consulted youtube and various discussions for advice. There are quite a few vids and threads giving detailed instructions but all seemed to be discussing a slightly different model to mine and the disassembly for mine turns out to be much easier than most advice would suggest. If like me you did a search for "LG drain pump" and have seen the LG disassembly vids that tal…

Hi everyone, Please can anyone offer some advice on a problem we have with a Beko WM74145W.Whenever we press the start button to begin the cycle it just pauses for a second then goes straight to 'end'. This happened 10+ times then all of a sudden it worked as normal. Lately though any wash above the 14 minute quick wash will not work at all and goes straight to 'end'. Does anyone have any experience as to what could be causing this to happen? Thanks.

Hi, recently purchased a Siemens IQ500 WM16W950GB washing machine. Used it on Saturday for 1st time, dried the rubber seal and tray, and let it ventilate for a while and then closed door and tray. Wake up Sunday and see water drops on inside of glass door and a small water puddle 3cm in width at base of rubber seal. Bear in mind the machine has been off since Saturday. Wiped everything down Sunday evening, wake up Monday, same again. Kept an eye on it and it looks like it takes 2hours for some drops to fall. Cleaned the rubber seal last night, cheked this morning and, you guessed it water drops on inside of glass door and a 4-5cm water puddle at base of rubber seal. It se…
