Hi, I'm new to this forum. I replaced the door seal and changed the brushes on my washing machine and everything has been working fine again for the past 2 months. Then I start hearing a really loud banging noise when going on fast spin. Took the lid off and the drum has dropped down and the spring is out. The plastic but that had a hole for the spring to loop through has worn away and now there is no hole left to loop it back in. The one on the other side seems to have some stress on it as well. Is there anything I can do or do I need to bite the bullet and get a new machine? I have attached pics to let you see what I mean. https://goo.gl/photos/LdHsdLD5axiMk9nL9 …

Samsung SW65V5 suddenly stopped working. No change in supply water pressure. Checked filters and cleaned them. No clogs. When I start a program, the washing machine does nothing, doesn't make any filling noises or any noise at all.It doesn't show any error code initially, then after about 10 minutes displays code 4E.

Hi All I've got an older Samsung front loader (WF8802RSW/XSA), bought in 2010. The drum spider flange has corroded and broken so I'm trying to figure out it's part number so I can find a replacement. So far I've that the spider part number starts with DC97-14370, it has an A B C D or E at the end but I can't find any info to help figure out which. Is anyone familiar with Samsung spider flanges or knows how to get about ID'ing parts? Some photos .. http://imgur.com/a/vjjk7 Thanks

Andy, Our Hotpoint WMUD 9427 washing machine recently gave a F05 fault code, after cleaning out the pump filter, pump and flushing through all the hoses I'm now seeing a problem when I try to start any new cycle. The door locked symbol appears as soon as I close the door (which shouldn't be happening until the cycle actually starts) and no water gets brought into the machine. I've carried out a spin cycle after first putting a bucket of water into the drum. This proved that the water drained out and the spin cycle appeared to be carried out correct. Any other cycle I start doesn't do what it should except count down the timer. I should shut the door, press start, at …

Hi guys, I have been having a problem with my washing machine since the cold weather started to kick in. First off let me say that i have already looked through the common faults faq and there is nothing there that covers this particular problem. I switch the washing machine on and the wash light comes on as it should do but then the door lock comes on and the wash and door lock light flash then it starts to fill when this happens the washing machine will start to fill then stop, then start again, then stop again in sync with the flashing door lock and wash light until all of the lights start flashing and the washing machine eventually turns itself off. I ha…

I have a washing machine zanussi zwg1120 only 2 years old which up until just over 2 months ago has really been giving me some problems. Initially my clothes(mainly towels) just kept coming out smelly and I noticed there was mold underneath and building on the rubber so I used to clean the mold off and planned on doing monthly high temp maintenance washes with bio detergent to keep it clean. However this would be of no use and within 2-3 quick washes (20 minutes washes) the clothes would start stinking again and the mold would start building up again. I usually use non bio for washes but bio and vinegar for maintenance. I even did several maintenance washes yet within…

Hello, I've a Bosch varioperfect that's not draining. Checked the filter, removed couple hair clips and small zip but still showing e18 code, checked impeller and it's spinning only thing I can think of is blocked drainage pipe, but to gain access I need to turn machine on its side to go through the bottom. Is it ok to put machine face down? Cheers

Hi all.. Ive looked through the forum and it seems my problem is unique to me.. so please help.. I live in Spain, and have just bought a shop soiled Hoover DWTL610AIW3 washing machine which has built in wifi, The shop that supplied it is giving me 2 year warranty, but cannot help with this problem, Problem I have is that the machine does not have a serial number anywhere to be seen, and I cannot get access to the wifi app without a serial number. We live off grid, so the power consumption part of the app was one of the reasons we bought it. So the question is... Is there any button combination that can display the serial number, or is th…

Hi, I have a 20 year old Phillips Whirlpool 997 washer-dryer, fantastic machine. Over the last few months it has been struggling to turn the drum during the wash cycle. Removing one or two heavier items usually works. I wondered whether the motor was worn, so I have replaced it with a new one, sadly the problem persists, although it is a lot quieter now. It spins normally at both speeds. Am I always going to have to use small loads from now on or is there a cure ? Many Thanks, Chris

Hi, I've found this forum to be very helpful in my ongoing washer/dryer saga. I've read a number of threads and an article directly related to the problem and worked through the solutions. Thanks for all the hints and advice from the mod and the other users. The problem though still persists. Symptoms are, if the dry cycle continues at all: undried but very steamy clothes, Steam coming out of the drawer, Sometimes the cycle just stops about 3 minutes in. Over the past 2 days I've got more intimate with this washing machine than I ever imagined I would! I've disassembled and cleaned out the condenser, a tricky job on one of thes…

I've had an LG direct drive washer for approx 5 years and it has been happy until now. Recently it has started trying to break free and is wandering about round the kitchen. The loads are not unbalanced and I've made sure it is level. I've taken the top off and checked for usual things like broken or dislodged mounts & springs and turned the drum by hand to see if anything seems amiss. On the last couple of loads on the final spin cycle it has made a metallic sound as if there is a small coin or similar rattling around the drum, this only happens in the very last minute or two of the cycle. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Hello and thanks for adding me to this forum. This is my first post. I have an elderly but beloved Miele W929WPS machine. I've serviced it a few times over the years but its been attacked by rats from the rear... they have chewed through the drain hose and the kitchen floor now is sopping wet. Of course changing the part (drain hose) is not too tricky but the question I have is this, must I buy the original spare from Miele? I have a young family and don't want to wait for a delivery from Miele UK. I need my machine up a running ASAP. Could I get a generic part OR does my machine require the original? I always fit only the original OE parts, never third party so…

Wonder if you can help me with a problem on the drying cycle on my Hoover washer dryer WA110. The dryer appears to be functioning correctly in that the drum is turning and the heater and pump are working, but the clothes are coming out hot and damp. The closest way that I can describe it to you is that when you open the door after operating the dryer the effect is like a sauna with steam pouring out of the opening. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Hi there I have a Hoover DYN 10166PG8/1-80 that is coming up with the E07 error. It might do it part way through a cycle or at the end, when it's finished and waiting to unlock. I purchased a new interlock for it, fitted it and let it finish the cycle it was still part way through, but the E07 error still came up at the end. Any ideas? Thanks Luke

My drum is moving excessively especially when it slows down after a fast spin. I have looked and I think it is most likely the shock absorbers. I am not sure how much play there should be with the shock absorbers, or whether it should be quite rigid. Would appreciate any comments. Thank you

Hi, I have a Bosch Logixx 7 - WIS28440GB Integrated which is approx 7 years old and only used a couple of times every weekend so would say its done approx 800 washes in its lifetime. All of a sudden when on the 1400 spin it becomes very noisy and i notice the drum wobbling. I have done a bearing check and there does not seem to be any play between the seal and drum but what i have noticed is the drum can be pushed easily so that i bangs on front or back of machine which i dont think is right. There is no major banging when running but the drum does wobble slightly. when starting and stopping and the 1400 spin is much noisier than normal. I have read on the …

Yesterday my Bosch WAE24167GB washing machine turned off during the 2hr long 30 degree wash cycle. It is 5 months old and hasn't had any problems before. After about 30 minutes the washing machine just died, no error lights or anything. So I manually drained the wretched machine, switched the door override catch and emptied the drum. In order to get it to turn back on it needs to be turned off at the mains and then turned back on. I have checked the filter and the hose isn't kinked. To test things, I ran the same cycle again but empty. It completed the 2hr long process just fine... Feeling optimistic I tried this cycle again but with clothes - the same issue occurred…

Hi, my trusty Indesit has had a recent problem. I usually use wash cycle 3 and that takes 1 hour and 24 minutes, however all of a sudden the time shown is 2 hours and 21 and it takes this time now to complete the wash. Cycle 2 was over 2 hours but now states 31 minutes!!! I have not tried cycle 2 yet but it looks like the machine has lost the plot. I am assuming something like a control board has a fault. I am not technical but any assistance would be appreciated to get my machine back to good health. Thanks in advance.
