jon
after reading all the previous comments I wish I had just put my quilt in the laundrette or bath but NO I putba king size quilt in a 6kg Candy washing machine yesterday and I still cant open the door. Please help. When it started the 40 wash it didn't even spin and started to smoke which by the smell was the actual quilt. How can I open the door? I've put it on drain and spin over 5 times now and the door still wont open. Thankyou in advance missis is going to kill me it was a present of my mother in law (Both)
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted November 30, 2016 Root Admin Report Share Posted November 30, 2016 Oh dear. You must have had to really ram it in. Didn't you even worry for a second it might not be a good idea? Presumably the quilt is pushing against the door mechanism so the only thing I would try is pushing hard against the door near the latch as I tried to open it. If it won't open the only way is to unplug the machine from the mains and reach in through the top to try and manipulate it open. If that fails you'd have to break the door interlock off to release it. I had one once where the customer had put a tent or something inside and the same thing happened. I had to break off and replace the door interlock. Need a repair or spare parts?
