Mr Tea
I've had an LG direct drive washer for approx 5 years and it has been happy until now. Recently it has started trying to break free and is wandering about round the kitchen. The loads are not unbalanced and I've made sure it is level. I've taken the top off and checked for usual things like broken or dislodged mounts & springs and turned the drum by hand to see if anything seems amiss. On the last couple of loads on the final spin cycle it has made a metallic sound as if there is a small coin or similar rattling around the drum, this only happens in the very last minute or two of the cycle. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted December 13, 2016 Root Admin Report Share Posted December 13, 2016 A metallic sound coming and going could be a coin stuck in the drum. This could smash through the drum and kill the machine. If you think something is stuck inside check this article How to remove something stuck in washing machine Need a repair or spare parts?
