I've searched other relevant threads and couldn't find any help. The door seal of our IKEA Renlig IWM60 integrated washing machine has torn so I've ordered a spare online so I can fit it myself. The issue I have is finding the screws I need to remove to remove the front panel of the washing machine so I can take out the front counter weight to access the back part of the seal. There is one in the detergent draw but I csnt work out how to access the other screws and cant find any schematics online showing where the screws are.

Hi once again Andy! My machine won't finish the cycle and you mentioned it may be the water heater. I tested this at 30 ohms. You then mentioned that it could still be a heater fault. Could this fault be a relay on the main circuit board? I am an electrician with electronic experience so I'm competent with safe isolation and familiar with component testing safely. I just need a flow chart diagnosis in relation to water heater faults or even a list of possibilities please. Sorry, I'm on a budget like most people these days. Much appreciated Andy!

Hi guys, I just bought a used, but very good condition washing machine and all of its sounds are very 'new' to me. However, I've been noticing that on filling (at beginning and near end of cycle) that the machine has a repetitive 'clunk' sound. Yet, it spins fine. I have opened the lid and have taken a video of it - any ideas what this is ? I have turned off the water, and it keeps doing it (so it's not related to water pressure). Model: Fisher & Paykel WA7060G2. No error codes, washes fine & spins fine. Here is a video of what I am talking about: https://drive.google.com/file/d/120MF9pUtwMcl6IeTkcWRvb7Tyr…

I have a Bosch washing machine that has stopped draining. I checked the hose and there is no blockage in fact it drains fine when there is nothing in the machine but when there is a load in the machine it will not drain. I've spent my day trying to figure it out!

Hi Andy, thanks for your previous reply. My machine won't finish a cycle and you thought it would be the water heating element. I have tested the heating element coil and it measured 30 ohms so all is good. Could you advise me a little further on this one please? Thanks in advance!

Hi All We have just bought our first Bosch washing machine. All previous washing machines we have had were Top Loaders by Fisher and Paykel. Our disappointment is centred around the hard crispy towels that we now get. The Top Loader used to provide us with nice fluffy towels for years. Two washes with the Bosch and the towels feel hard and crispy. We just use the cotton wash with no modified program. What are we doing wrong, we do not use fabric softener, our water is very soft so we know it is not that. The detergent we use is a liquid that comes as a measured amount in a dissolvable pouch. Please tell me your best advice to get our nice fluffy towels back…

We have a Hotpoint WDD960 and after starting the drying cycle the machine stops with error F13. It will dry for a random amount of time before stopping so I am confused what the problem could be. Recently we had the main PCB replaced as the machine wouldn't respond at all so I am ruling this out as the problem. According to a google search, F13 refers to "Dryer fan or dryer thermisotor faulty" The odd thing is the machine isn't that old and the dryer has only been used a handful of times in it's whole life. We do have very high PH level in the water here meaning a lot of limescale build up so could this be the problem? Also the temp sensor would work for the washing c…

Hi, I have a Hotpoint Aquarius AQD1170D697E washer dryer. When put on a wash cycle the machine gets to 3 minutes then resets back to 49 minutes. I then check to see if the conditioner has been flushed through and it hasn't. 49 minutes is the amount of time it takes to complete a Rinse and Spin cycle. When I put the machine on a Rinse and Spin cycle, the machine will flush the conditioner through and finish this cycle. Is this the main board (P.C.B)? Thanks in advance!

I have to fit a new GENUINE HOOVER NEXTRA Washing Machine DOOR HANDLE KIT 97924201but I forgot to take a picture before taking it apart. I can get all the parts back together but can't get the spring to sit correctly. I know that the two halfs of the door will will take the spring work correctly but still does not work. If anyone has any advice or/and picture I'd be really grateful.

Hi, I have a JLWM-1203 (over 10 years old) I replaced the heating element in it 6 years ago and motor carbon brushes 2 years ago. The problem I'm having at the moment is that on any washing cycle the machine stops randomly. The only way to get it going is to enable child lock, then when the machine stops, turn it off on the dial and turn it back on, this makes it continue with the cycle. It is John Lewis own one which I believe is a rebranded Zanussi Been doing it for about 2 months, I checked the filters, there are no blockages. The count-down timer also seems in accurate, usually gets to 1 minute left fairly quickly, then still goes on for over 30 minu…

Miele WT 2780 washer/dryer leaving black residue on sheets. Have thoroughly cleaned following guidance in user manual but still persists. Residue seems to be in aperture at top front of drum which is difficult to access. We no longer use the dryer and wonder whether this is hot air access point that has become clogged due to not using. If so - how best to clean. Any ideas?

All, (I'm hoping this isn't a repair question) I think 'something' has got between the Drums & I want to take the element out to have a look, does anyone have a source for the 'starlock' retaining clips? from experience no matter how careful you are one of them can get damaged & I'd like a couple to hand before I start! Cheers Jim.

I have a Hotpoint Model WMA9 - Serial Number 07101058 (an older machine given to me). Just lately it has been a bit of a noise and when turning the drum by hand it's making a bit of a grinding noise. I know the bearings on the drum are going and made enquiries today at Hotpoint as to what bearings I need. The reply I got over the phone was that it could either be 30 OR 35mm bearings and would need to take them off to check, and would I want an engineer to come out? No thank you was the reply! So they genuinely can't tell me or won't unless I buy from them? Does anyone know which size my machine would need - many thanks.

I have a Bosh integrated washing machine, WIS24141GB/54 which has decided to stick on the wash part of a heated cycle, for hours and hours on end (could go on forever maybe, but I got bored and aborted the cycle after 4 hours!). I’m pretty confident that it’s the element at fault, especially as Bosch have replaced the original part with a new one (according to their parts search). What I can’t find is, how do I access the element inside one of these integrated machines; is it via the front or the back panel? I’d rather not remove the front only to find it was the back. Part diagram *seems* to suggest it’s accessed from behind, but would anyone be …

Hi there, Slightly odd one so hopefully someone can help! My 13 month old Samsung Quickdrive washing machine with Digital Inverter Motor has started making fairly loud noises when the drum is rotating very slowly (1 rotation = 20seconds). Just before the spin cycle, the drum rotates very slowly 3 times; anticlockwise, clockwise and anticlockwise; which is a normal feature. However, at this point there is a loud clunking/clanging sound from the very rear of the washer. This noise happens regardless of whether the washer is empty or has a light or heavy load. The drum appears to jerk slightly when starting to turn slowly. The clunk then occurs just …

Hi, we own a 5+ year old John Lewis JLWD1609 washer dryer that seems to have an intermitant fault. The door lock is working fine and registers and all other dials and buttons have appropriate responses except the START/PAUSE button This can be depressed and appropriate audible click is made but the following door lock click and cycle start do not happen..... Except when it does I can push the button a hundred times and nothing or once or twice and we are in business I've had an engineer look at it and he dismantled the front section and was satisfied that the buttons amd contact were intact and thought it maybe the machines board that's the issue …

All clear now. would anyone know what the next steps would be for this problem thanks in advance

Our 13 year old Miele started smoking. Phoned Miele but could not get any technical support told to book an engineer visit. About a week to 10 days. Local engineer same day took 5 mins to diagnose misshapen drum rubbing on seal. Could try a new seal if he could get one (expensive long lead time). Best make it beyond economical repair. Miele delivered new one in 5 days. Expensive but no real option under current conditions.

So I have a Hotpoint Washer-Dryer Machine. Worked fine for ages. Then it started playing up. Model Number: RG864SUK As I looked into it the Washing machine half works fine. The tumble dryer part is the issue. The condenser (semi-clear plastic) has produced a hole exactly above the pcb. The pcb isn't damaged but the hole in the condenser is an issue. I need to replace it. The genuine number on hotpots website is J00299675. Should my unit have a hole in, what could have caused this? Can I get away with replacing just the condenser unit? I can't purchase the part on the Hotpoint website. It says I have to call the fix helpline which I don't want to …
