Hi, I have a BWD129 and the door lock light is flashing, the machine won't start. There are no other lights flashing. I've checked the drainage, emptied out the filter (nothing in it) but can't get the machine to start. As soon as I switch the machine on, the light flashes. Closing the door the latch is secure and feels right. But pressing start, the lock light just flashes at me. I can select options like dry, quick wash, etc etc, but it just won't start the program. The lock light just blinks back at me (frustratingly). I had a similar issue before and blowing down the drainage pipe with the filter out seemed to resolve the problem, but this time tha…

Had this machine since mid 2015, Indesit 1600 rpm 9kg machine, worked fine until washer stopped working two weeks ago with all lights flickering and wouldn't drain out, I unblocked some fluff from drain hose at bottom of machine and turned back on, it worked for four days and then got stuck on the rinse and spin cycle, kept filling up and then draining all the time and wouldn't spin fast, so had to power off and put on spin and drain, it then worked on small loads only but then got stuck on a towel wash.I looked at trouble shooting guide and it suggested it could be a problem with the drain pipe, I have had these in various positions as suggested and believe it can't be a…

First post on here i have a fault with my Beko excellence washing machine. Its only 3 years old and has now stopped working. When i select a program and hit start button the machine sounds normal. However it attempts to take water and you hear water going in. Then the door lock icon on the LCD display goes off as if the door is no longer locked it then appears again and seems to repeat the above cycle several times locking unlocking door and dribbling water in. Then after around 10-15 minutes it shows on display as "end" and it hasnt washed a thing. I suspected blocked water pipes but after having all these off and blown through that's not the prob…

Hi, I have a Zanussi ZKG7125. I have 2 issues, one which is bearable but the second happened this morning which needs immediate attention. Firstly on a drying cycle the machine works for about 30-45 minutes before skipping the remaining any remaining time on the cycle and then shows 0 on the countdown. No obvious error codes are shown on the display, I have read elsewhere something about holding down the start button and turning the program dial counting the red and green flashes for further information? I think logically this could be either an overheating problem or a thermostat issue? It would make sense if it was some form of safety override. I have pulled …

I have an Electrolux EWD1214 washer/dryer. The drum seems rotate ok and will then sudeenly only do quarter of half a turn anti clockwise and no clockwise turn. It will then move on in the program slightly and be ok again sometimes the program will run through perfectly ok. I have called an engineer out because my landlord is responsible for the washer. However, if there is nothing wrong, I will get charged a callout of £65 plus VAT. I don't want to fork out if there's nothing wrong. Glad of advice, does it sound as if there is a fault with the machine?

Hi folks, Had a problem with my Beko and managed to find out (by trial and error), how to get into diagnostic mode. First make sure door is closed, then holding the SPIN button press the ON/OFF button, the letter E-- should appear, wait for door to lock, then by pressing the START/PAUSE button you should get 25 on display. Push the START/PAUSE button again and all lights and display will flash, push START/PAUSE again and it will start to go through the functions. Every press of the START/Pause button moves it on to the next function. It can be cancelled any time by holding the ON/OFF button until you see 3....2....1 then machine powers off. Hope this is of help…

Hi there, long time browser, first time poster here. My trusty Samsung WD8740RJA finally developed a fault yesterday (error code 5E, drain problem) and being a bit of an amateur fiddler I thought I'd have a go at diagnosing the problem before calling in the professionals. I went through the very helpful default troubleshooting guide on here but still need some help. This is what I've done so far: The drain pump isn't activating at all but I checked the drain hose and filter were clear first anyway, no probs there. I then took the drain pump housing out and verified there were no blockages there either, the impeller on the motor is spinning freely. Next, I c…

Hi. I'm trying to decide if our miele has just died or if it's possible to ressurect. Symptoms: Flashing and banging occasionally. As soon as we identified the washing machine was where the noise was comming from it was switched off. I removed side & top pannels, turned on to view exactly what part was flashing, and it was the motor.. so immediately switched off checked the web and followed the favoured response being new brushes, these I fitted and then ran the machine up. It purred away doing a drain/spin cycle with not problems at all, even at full speed.. so I thought I'd fixed it, put all the pannels back and so on. Try a real load and aft…

My Bosch excel 7 washing machine is flagging up E18 which is supposedly a blocked pump, I've made sure it's clear at the impeller end/filter and the sink end, it won't drain on programmes but WILL on the drain only function! My thoughts with reading this forum over the last few months is possibly a water sensor? Weight or flow or worse case the pcb? We have cover for it with an extended cover but I'll get charged if no fault is found so want to fix it myself really, the machine is almost 5 years old, thanks for reading

Hi I have been reading your article Washing machine not spinning at end of cycle in detail, but I don't find the answer to my issue. Hence below detailed description of issue: I am having issue that my Asko Cylinda 11002 from 1991 with Siemens motor has stopped spinning, but washes and drains water OK. I.e. it proceeds to end of program. This issue has developed over last year or so, but now it does not spin at all. Earlier on it was spinning at 90 deg. program only. So far I have checked: 3 rubber pipes to level switch N1 and N2 – ok Y connection – ok carbon brushes of motor – ok driving belt OK (checked when motor was…

I purchased a Miele PW6055 on the used market a few months ago, the problem with it is the previous owner has forgotten what the supervisor code ( usually 000 ) is, and it will not let me in to set the timer and other functions, unfortunately also the display light is constantly flashing whilst on sleep mode. I have been quoted well over £100 for a tech to come and rest the code with software but I cannot afford that at present. Does anyone know if there is a trick to access this code - it won't even allow me to set the clock without accessing the advance functions. Any help appreciated. The washer gives you three chances and locks you out for an hour and it could be 1000…

Hi, We had a new Electra W1249CF2W washing machine in October, and over the past month or so, it has gradually developed a very loud vibration noise. The noise only occurs when the machine is running a fast spin. The feet are level and everything else seems normal. Could anyone tell me what this could be caused by? Thanks.

My Zanussi essential 1400 looked like it was dead, but I checked the fuse and socket - both OK. I opened the top (with power off), and traced the power lead in to the PCB box. I disconnected the output plugs in turn, to see if that was the problem, and with the end one disconnected (four red wires), the lights came back on the display and the different times showed for the different programmes. The machine seemed to try to start, bit of a turn of the drum, then nothing. The four red wires seem to go the the front control panel. I have had the machine for about 10 years, and I feel it doesn't owe me anything, but I'm curious as to what is causing the problem.

Hi! We've just moved into a new build flat which has an Indesit IWDC6125(UK) washer dryer. We were trying to run a cycle first before we used it but it doesn't seem to be working. The Start/Pause button goes orange and the lock light flashes red and it beeps. Also, the door seal has the hole pictured at about 2pm on it. Not sure if this is normal or not. We've turned the machine off at the mains for 5 mins and restarted it but no joy. Any ideas, are we being incredibly stupid or should I contact Indesit? Cheers! Dave

Hi guys, As above the machine seems to be stuck on drain. The pump continually runs even though there's no water left in the system. I've checked the filter and that's fine. I've tried the usual turning off at the wall but as soon as it's powered again and the door is shut it resumes running the pump. There's no error codes being displayed and programs can be started they just never actually start as it keeps draining. Anyone any ideas?

Hi, Looking for some help diagnosing the issue with my washing machine! I have a Beko WMB 81455 LW - 15 months old (just out of warranty ) which stopper working at the weekend. I can't remember any particular event that occurred that caused it to stop working. Now when I try to turn it on and put it on any washing cycle, the machine rinses the detergent chamber as usual but then never starts, it continues to fill/rinse the detergent chamber, stop and repeat. Even if putting the machine on a spin and drain cycle only, nothing happens. I therefore believe the issue is likely a motor fault..? I have tried putting the system into test mode as described here (http://www.ho…
