Hi, recently we have been having issues with our washing machine draining. I've checked the filter and that was clean. The next thing I checked was the waste pipe that fixes on to the sink outlet. There seems to be a small black object stuck in the pipe. When I move this slightly it allows the machine to drain. What I am not sure about is if this is meant to be in the pipe or not. Is it some sort of non return? Im hoping someone can let me know what it is. I have attached an image that shows the object in the pipe. Thank you

Hi The pump cap on my Bosch Classixx 1200 Express is stuck: I tried to use a mole-wrench to open it, but the plastic handle has started to break up. Do you have any suggestions on how I might be able to open the cap ? Thanks, Barrie 2017

Have cleaned filter etc at front. There was a little water but nothing of volume. Hose at rear not kinked either. Have loaded photo of current control panel display.

Our washing machine stopped heating the water and heating the dry cycle. It does all the cycles, wash and dry but there's no heat at all. I've bought new heater and thermometer, checked all the wires but still no heat. There is also no error code. I've read the topic where the solution was loose cables, so triple checked that also. What can it be?

Hello all and thanks for any help in advance! So the Hotpoint HVL211 front loading washing machine in the house I rent broke down at the beginning of a 30 degree wash about 2 weeks ago.I think it had filled with water for the first wash and then basically stopped. Unsurprisingly I wasn't 100% paying attention at the time.I did some digging and the first bit of troubleshooting advised to check the filter for the pump. This was jammed to where I couldn't unscrew said filter so I assumed this was the cause. After a long and slow draining process, I took the entire pump off and removed an object from the housing (one of those floss/toothpick sticks that must have been there ye…

Hi I put on some towels to wash and when I got them out, I found the attached rubber seal (looks like one) inside the drum. I don't know where items come from on the machine, anyone have any ideas where? I thought it could have been a duct gasket. It's about 14/15 inches long. My machine is an LG F1403RD6 image url https://1drv.ms/i/s!AisHJN6XxhaFgUWJmJLvdu7g9ev2

Hi, this is my daughters washing machine that she bought in May of this year, she tells me it has been noisy from the day she got it, I'm wondering if it might have a faulty shock absorber? If it is spun with no load its perfectly quiet, but with any load at all it makes a very irritating rhythmic rattling noise, not the out of balance banging noise you sometimes hear, as a machine starts to spin, but a regular bang which increases in speed with the rotation of the drum and is continuous until it stops spinning. The machine is less than a year old, so I assume is still under warranty(Curry's) Before we get an engineer from Curry's to look at it, is there a test I can…

Hi I have an LG WD-80481TP that have served me well for the past 9 years without any problems. Yesterday during a regular wash cycle we noticed a burning smell so we stopped the wash cycle and later i tried making a quick spin cycle to dry out the clothes but the cycle failed, the machine simply shutoff after 20 minutes of attempting a 10 minutes spin cycle. after investigating it the motor is overheating, its spinning the drum but only at low speed it seems not to reach high spin speeds and it appears to find it hard to start the spin, when the machine shutoff it kinda went crazy the time was going down one minute every 5 real minutes and then eventually it kin…

Hi all, I have a fairly old Beko machine that completes the fast spin & drain cycle when empty, but will not do it when there's any washing in. It also sounds very laboured when spinning - kinda like rotorblades on a helicopter if that makes sense? I'm pretty resigned to needing to replace it but any ideas to fix would be welcome. Have checked waste pipes & the U-Bend for blockages and all seems clear (which I guess it would be if it's draining while empty) Thanks

Hi, I have the above washing machine which appears to be misbehaving, as its stuck in limp-mode and will not operate any wash cycles. On turning the dial, so that the machine comes on and holding in the start button, I received the E18 error code (unstable load). I removed the control board and found that one of the diodes had some electrical burning around it, although appeared to function correctly with a multimeter. I have since replaced this board with a new control board, however the machine is still in limp-mode but now reporting an E17 error code (excessive foaming). I'm going to assume that its probable a sensor that is causing this error message, howeve…

Morning all, apologies if posted in the wrong place. I have a Hoover Dynamic Next 7kg washer, model number DXC4C47B1 I think. We had some odd smells coming from our washing so I checked the filter at the bottom left and it was full of stagnant water, nothing else. I empited it and replaced the cap, ran another wash, and it was immediately full again. I took the waste pipe off and it is emptying properly so I can't see why the filter would keep filling. Anybody have any ideas on something else I can try to resolve?

We have a beko wmb 81641 lc At the end of the cycle after the spin it adds water to the drum, drains some. Adds water, drains some and adds water again. It adds more than it drains which leaves water in the bottom of the machine and the clothes wet. Why is it adding water after the spin cycle and all the water is drained?

Hi, hope you can help. I've read the troubleshooting but I'm not sure if I'm competent enough to try a fix. We moved homes a few streets away and now my beko wm5101w starts filling up with water as soon as the on button goes on and doesn't stop unless I turn the tap off or press the on/off button again. I've tried the test bellow: https://www.how-to-repair.com/help/beko-wm5101w-washing-machine-test-mode-error-codes/ And everything works in test mode apart from the water not stopping filling in. It only fill from the right hand side in the draw. I also tried to reset the machine but nothing stops the water apart from turning the power off. An…

Hi, I'm a newbie here so please be gentle. I've got a Bush F721QW and its developed the following fault. When I switch it on some of the lights on the control panel flicker on then I get nothing at all. When I rotate the programme button occasionally a light flashes on but immediately goes off. Its hooked up to water and electricity correctly and ive even changed the door interlock but there is no difference. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Hiya all , I have an ISE1606W bought in 2009 with persistent F1 and F3 fault. I've checked the trap. The local company I bought it through are no longer trading and I understand that ISE itself is no more. Anyone know a repairer of ISE machines in the East Midlands? I'm in Desborough, near Kettering/Corby/Market Harborough. Or should I just find a local repairer who doesn't specifically do ISE machines. Advice warmly appreciated... Thank you.

Hi all, Hoping someone can help me out here, I have above washer dryer, got the error code ED4 so I bought the replacement part, a new heater element, however after taking the top off the machine I cannot work out how to get the old one out. The metal support going all the way along the top of the machine seems to be stopping me from removing the element housing, but the support seems to be attatched to two springs which will not budge. I'm hoping there is a way I can remove the housing without taking that metal support off. I'll add photos tonight if needed. Thanks. Aaron

we have an indesit washing machine IWC6105, unsure how old it is. all the lights on the top row are flashing green and the start/pause light is flashing amber. The only other lights that are on are the spin and the drain lights which are a solid green light. I have tried unplugging the washing machine and waiting then turning it back on but nothing seems to work. Any ideas what the problem could be please? thanks!

We have a Whirlpool AWM 1200/1 (released around 2002). Around 1 in 10 washes, the water is removed from the drum but the clothes are very wet and heavy. We have to pop it on the short Fast Spin cycle to remove most of the water from the clothing. Any ideas?

I've had this washer since it was new 22 years ago, it has been a very good appliance. It doesn't have all those unneeded options, it just washes clothes. A few weeks ago I started a load and walked away, when I came back I had found that it didn't start agitating, and the belt was smoking. I thought that because the belt was 22 years old, that it may have stretched and would not spin the pulley. I bought a new belt, but they only come in a set of 2 for $23. Put the new one on, and it worked for a week or two, then froze up again and smoked that belt, thinking that I may have not removed all the slack when I installed it,I bought another set. A week went by and i caught i…

It's a July-2015 washer-dryer. Clothes often come out more dirty than they came in. They are covered with some very fine gray fiber that we take off using a roller sticker. We tried: - Cleaning the big rubber seal of the door - Cleaning the pump's filter (the one you have to pop the front lower lid off and turn it out, it was actually quite clean) - Running the secret "A+B for 7 seconds" self-cleaning cycle - Running an empty wash with washing machine cleaner We get the fluffy stuff even if we don't run a dryer. We are careful not to put lint-generating clothes in it (but maybe my lodger did that before). It feels as if there is something that's st…
