I have just purchased the above (used) model which the seller said needed the drum bearing/s replacing. I noticed when I split the drum housing that the inner stainless rim where the 5x water jets and stem inlet is, was caked in gunge. I removed the trim, and it was just one huge mess. On cleaning it (never done one before), i noticed that where the pipe comes in (steam), there was a "tee" connection just inside the drum housing, with the left hand side going into the small steam jet injector (multi-hole), but the right hand side of the "tee" is just open with just the bare barb of the plastic "tee" and not even any pipe attached. There is obviously something missing here…

Last posted about this at start of year, it does work as a machine just not sure how long the issue has been around for, it may of been years as I normally just set it and wait. No issues with heating water or anything but if I set machine to option 1 it starts and then after a few minutes goes to the end of option 4 which is just before rinse cycle which is 5, it runs for a hour then when "rinse" cycle starts I don't think its actually on rinse as it almost instantly goes to next to the main rinse and if at this point I open machine (after putting dial to end of cycle) the machine is so hot theres boiling hot steam coming off and the water is scalding hot. Its …

Hello, I have a Hoover HBWD 8514TAHC washer dryer which has been stuck before the final spin for some time today. I've noticed a noise coming from it which I hadn't heard before. Having taken off the back panel to listen more closely, it seems to be coming from the motor, and it does it when I manually move the drum whilst the machine is switched off too. Can anybody advise on what the sound is, and whether or not this is repairable? Here's a video on Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/iqa8irsfl95lezx/VID_20201011_140535.mp4?dl=0 Thanks, Tom

Basically I have a Hotpoint First Edition 1000 model num WM52, it's like Triggers brush off only fools and horses, over the years I have collected many spare parts from other peoples washer of the same model and have repaired it with such. It gave up the ghost the other day and when I inspected it I found the motor would not turn, on further inspection it was the bearing in the brush end, as the spare motors that I had did not have the same connector on them I decided to dismantle the motor, but silly me I did not make a note of the pin outs in the connection socket. the pins in the connector are all in a line and NOT one set on top of the other, Looking from the pin side…

Hi to all, I've had a look at the Troubleshooting page but could not find a section which relates to this problem. We've had this machine for 17 years now and although the body is rusting underneath the soap drawer, it still worked smoothly until a couple of days ago when any program used simply goes to the rinse program. We usually use either the 30 or 40 Cotton program with the Quick wash button and the Reduce Ironing buttons. Both the 30 and 40 degree programs take around 53 to 59 minutes. A couple of days ago any program be it from the Cottons section, delicates etc. simple shows 20 minutes on the display and the machine performs a rinse cycle. I checke…

This fault displays after pump running for a while. I’ve literally checked and cleaned everything in the drainage system but still get the same message. Any help appreciated to save my sanity. Pump appears to be running fine. Can hear clicking noises inside soap dispenser area but this maybe normal.

Hi, can anyone confirm from the attached photos that the drum position on my Samsung Ecobubble is correct or has it slipped somehow. It shredded a seal last week, fitted new seal yesterday but the drum seems to be catching on the new seal. I had to disassemble the whole thing again to take the picture. Help please, thanks.

Hi, I have a Siemens IQ300 and took out the filter to clean it. I needed to use grips because it was stuck with scale. I can see that the bit that the filter screws into is cracked in two places. It looks like a big washer but it wont come out. The machine now leaks underneath at the front. :-( Is it possible to buy the housing unit that the filter screws into or is it a whole new pump? I can see plenty of places to buy a new filter to screw in but I need the other part and not sure what it is called! Trying to work out if the cost will be worth calling someone out or if I should just buy a new machine. It is 5 years old and just out of the guarantee now a…

My machine is leaving water in the detergent compartment. I noticed a couple weeks ago that my machine was not rinsing as usual. I have emptied the drain hose and filter and did a 'clean run'. Reset the machine to rinse twice and the clothes came out fine but water stayed in the powder compartment each time. What else can I try before I call an engineer. I do not use fabric conditioner. Thank you

Hello. I have a 4 year old Bosch washing machine which emits an unpleasant smell from the waste pipe. I assume it is a build up of soap in the pipe from years of use. In addition, there is a greyish slime on the outside of the pipe from where it sits in the drainage system under a sink unit. Is there anything that can be used to clean inside the pipe via the washing machine? The pipe is so long that it is not possible to clean inside the pipe with an implement. Thanks.

Hi, I have a 1.5 year old Beko WTG620M1W_WH and recently had some rust stains on my bedsheets and clothes. The filter was clear. Is this a problem with the washing machine or the pipes? Any idea what the solution might be? Wondering if it's worth getting a technician or just buy a new machine.. Thanks in advance! T

Hi, I have a Leisure RI85421 Washing machine and it started beeping whilst off this morning. I tried to turn it on a bit later but nothing happened. I have tried turning it off at the wall for a few hours but it still isn’t turning on. Have checked to see if there was a circuit trip and have tried plugging a hairdryer into the plug. Nothing has worked so far. Has anyone else had this experience before? Some advice would be much appreciated! Thanks

Hi, I hope someone can help on this one. Got an old Whirlpool belt driven washing machine. I checked the belt and it's on good condition. The belt will spin the shaft without catching in either direction. The drum inside doesn't move when doing this. The water will fill and drain going through the cycles and the agitator works. The motor sounds like it's working while trying to spin, if I have my timing and cycles down right. I think the big indicator of the problem may be that the drum inside is locked in place. I would use the word seized up. It doesn't seem to want to move either direction nor will it tilt or give to one side or the other as I normally have seen all …

Not having much luck lately, acquired the above washing machine and the thing wont fill, the unit has a triple inlet and the valves serve the door jet (working) the pre wash part of the drawer (working) and the main powder part and the drum (not working) I eventually get an ie error which is a water inlet eeror Everything else works the drum is sound and it drains okay. I therefore deduce that the inlet valve is cream crackered and buy a new one, only it's doing exactly the same as before..bugger! Is this likely a control board problem? The damn thing works when it gets enough water in it eventually but this is by only the softener jet and door j…

https://youtu.be/fj8D0YTfnB0 Hello and thank you for this forum. My PANASONIC NA-140VG3 developed a grinding noise about 6 months ago and is getting worse all the time. It had a new drum and logic board at 5 yrs old under warranty, and now 3 years further at 8 yrs old this issue. It is a very loud grinding noise that occurs when the water is injected into the drum with the side jet on the top right corner of the drum. It does NOT make a noise evacuating the waste water or while spinning. The noise appears to be coming from the pump in bottom left corner, but like I say no noise doing waste water. Drum drive bearings and motor are fine. I've cleaned the pu…

I've been through the common problems and I seem to have the reverse issue... Our machine will spin (if it manages to get to that part of the cycle), but it seems to have issues with agitation (almost as if is slipping). I have replaced the belt but the issue still persists. Putting it on just a spin, it does a weird sort of jerky agitation as if it can't turn the drum successfully, sometimes it manages to get past this bit and go into a normal spin, but sometimes it doesn't.

My washer shuts down at random times mid cycle including the display. If I turn off power and wait for about 1 min before I turn power back on, the machine runs and then stops after a while. I checked the door, it functions normally (locks and unlocks). What could be the reason? InShot_20200906_102752609Vga.wmv
