Rose
My machine is leaving water in the detergent compartment. I noticed a couple weeks ago that my machine was not rinsing as usual. I have emptied the drain hose and filter and did a 'clean run'. Reset the machine to rinse twice and the clothes came out fine but water stayed in the powder compartment each time. What else can I try before I call an engineer. I do not use fabric conditioner. Thank you
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted October 1, 2020 Root Admin Report Share Posted October 1, 2020 Hello Rose. I've not heard of water being left in the detergent compartment. That could only be caused by a blockage in the hose leading from the soap dispenser into the main drum. But if you meant the fabric softener compartment this article has the answer Fabric softener compartment left with water inside Need a repair or spare parts? Rose
Thanks Andy, Its def in the detergent drawer, I dont use fabric softener. I always leave my drawer and door open and check. So it seems like an engineer's job then which I had hoped to avoid.
Root Admin Whitegoodshelp (Andy) Posted October 2, 2020 Root Admin Report Share Posted October 2, 2020 Hello Rose. If it is in the detergent drawer just make sure there isn't a plastic insert designed to allow you to use liquid detergent slotted in there at the back which I've seen in some soap dispensers. The idea is that you pour the liquid detergent into the drawer and the plastic insert holds it and stops it running into the drum. It's probably not that I ought to mention it. If there is no water inside the drum when you can see water inside the soap drawer then water must just be trapped in there by something that matter got pushed into the soap dispenser by a child or a partially undissolved lack of detergent if you have used those tablet's. The hose leading from the outer drum to the bottom of the soap dispenser would need checking for blockages. Need a repair or spare parts?
