Hello, 2 nights ago our electric was tripped, when switching it back on the washing machine was flashing with an error code f43. After searching I decided to change the motors carbon brushes. The old ones were very low, with one of them very dull and slightly discoloured due to burning (im guessing). Anyway, I changed the brushes, reset the machine, and tried a wash. But the motor still does not turn, I tried resetting over again but nothing. I let the new load run through the cycle only to end up with an f43 code again towards the end. Does anyone know what the issue may be? Have I forgotten to do something else? And are there fuses within the wa…

Today I had two different issues - unsure if they're connected but massive coincidence. First was turning the machine off - the display wouldn't turn off... and secondly it started to tumble during a wash and it wouldn't tumble - just did some weird vibrating tumble. any idea? It's still under warranty so will get them out but thought i'd ask here too! IMG_1417.mov

Only clicks on one programme; number 9. This is the most used programme, we hardly use any other. The clicking is on the right and its like a loud clock noise. I stopped the programme, drained and started again on number 10; all ok. I tried number 1 for a bit too; no clicking either. Any ideas gratefully received.

Hi The touch screen on my Hoover is very unresponsive. If I'm lucky I can change the temperature of the wash by pressing the screen 20 or 30 times. The spin speed is easier to change but sometimes takes a few presses. I wonder if this is a known problem and is there a way to make it any easier to use? Thanks

I have an old Hoover Special Edition 1100 washer dryer which has been fantastic. Must be about 17 years old and has been very reliable with no major issues. Recently when it was on a spin cycle it started to make loud noise like the drum was moving about too much. I stopped it and noticed a smell of burned rubber. The grey door seal had been torn. The drum is loose. I think this means the belt has broken but I could be wrong. My question is can this be repaired? Are the parts still available? Or am I better off investing in another one?

Hello, Annoyingly, just outside of warranty as per with these things, my Beko wtl104121w seems to have developed a fault. The problem can probably be summarised by two main symptoms: - Sometimes at end of cycle, the machine starts clicking and the door lock will not unlock. It sounds like it is behind the dial but sometimes at the door interlock. - Even when not in use the machine sometimes randomly starts clicking from behind the dial but only seems to be when in the On/Off position. If I move the dial to a program, the clicking stops instantly. I can normally work around this by powering off the machine at the plug, waiting 5 - 10 minut…

I hope this video tells the story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8L5ySXen68 It started last weekend, I put the washing on, came back hours later and it was stuck, water in the machine. Moved the machine out to make sure the drain hose wasn't blocked (it wasn't), left the clothes to dry in the sun, then tried again this weekend and same thing. This time I caught it before it gave up. As you see in the video, the drum wants to spin but can't (maybe a couple of cm in either direction). The tub does spin freely by hand. I've searched the web endlessly but I'm no closer to a solution. It can't be carbon brushes because this type of motor (direct drive) uses a…

My machine was on it's final spin and began making a noise I haven't heard before. Just as I went to switch it off it started to smoke from the back of the machine. Picture added for reference. The belt looks fine, though, any help would be great. You can see the area where the smoke has came from. Thanks in advance.

Hello! I’ve started getting a fault on a 2.5 year old Bush wdnsx86w. When the motor starts to turn from stationary or changing direction there is a momentary screech coming from the appliance which almost sounds like something hitting the glass door. The appliance then gets stuck in a loop and the timer won’t go down. Cue the door lock engaging and disengaging and kitchen lights flickering. Eventually the appliance turns itself off. Can any washing machine engineers / repairers point me in the right direction please? IMG_0659.MOV

Hi all, My washer, model in the title, is permanently stuck at 1 minute, no spin light on. When I run it, it actually gets "Done", but when I turn it on again to try to set up a load, it shows me the same 1 minute and no spin light turned on. See image attached. I already manually put water in and ran this 1 minute and the pump works fine, therefore, shouldn't be a pump issue. Of course i already tried to unplug the machine for minutes, even hours, but when i plug it back in, the same 1 minute "no spin" shows in the display. Any clues what might be going on? Thanks! Nicolas.

Hi, I have a Beko washing machine WEX104064E0W which has an emergency drain hose. I used it today prior to cleaning the filter and stupidly pushed it too far and it fell down the hole. I cannot retrieve it… is there any trick to get it back out for future use? Hope it happened to someone else before and they managed to get it back…(the picture shown what it looks like)

Having removed the door seal I am struggling to remove the front panel so that I can access to replace it. I know the top can't be removed, but has anyone got a service manual they can share or talk through removing the front panel?

Hi everyone, been hearing some metal clanging in the washing machine when it runs and when i had a look there’s a wire sticking out of one of the holes in the drum. Pulled it out a bit more before realising its probably coming from inside the machine as opposed to one of us leaving something in the wash that shouldn’t be there. Picture attaches. Any suggestions on what it could be? Thanks!

Hi friends, My not so old LG direct drive 7 kg, 721F1902, drains the water immediately after all the orange lights flash. So in the beginning of starting the process. The inlet filter was dirty and I have now cleaned it, and I have done a reset, hold the start button for 5 seconds. It pumps out a lot of water in my opinion, 30 liters I think just like that. Now what could be the cause of that? Best, Atlas.

Hi, have a Bosch front loader, wab24260gb/09. Drains ok and begins it's spin cycle but after 2 seconds of speeding up it stops, skips cycle, tries again and then stops (Jumps spin cycles and ends programme) Found a kink in waste hose but nothing bad. Changed Brushes and pressure switch sensor but still the same. I checked all the hoses and filter are clear and can blow through them ok . Same results with empty or half load. Springs and shocks look fine. Should I be looking at door lock or PCB? Thanks all, Mick

I have a Samsung Ecobubble washer / dryer which is about 7 years old. Today I did a wash and once finished, opened the door to find the clothes still wringing wet (no error code). I set the machine to do just a spin, turning off the rinse function on that programme and split the load in half so it was a lighter weight to spin. I then had the error code S(or5?)c, which I am familiar with as it can mean the filter is blocked and the water will not drain. I used the hose to let the water out (the small hose next to the filter) and tried again after realising the filter is clean. Again, the same problem. I have also run a diagnostic test which I found on youtub…

Hi, I replaced the bushes on my beko washing machine about two months ago and it's stopped working again. One of the bushes is perfectly fine and about 3cm long but the other is down to the plastic and the plastic is burnt. I probably put them in wrong but they looked ok to me. What should I do next? Cheers.

A retaining ring has fallen out of the gasket against which the loading door closes, and I cannot see exactly where it should be re-fitted. The wire ring is about 13" diameter, with a 2" spring incorporated. The machine is a 5-year-old Bosch WAN. Where should the ring be fitted ? And can I use the machine without the ring ?

Hi, I have an indesit EWDE7125 washer / dryer. There is something wrong with it, but I can't figure out what. I have read through the various troubleshooting on this site, but nothing quite fits. Apologies if this post gets long, but I will try to describe in as much detail as possible. The net result, is that even after washing my clothes just really aren't clean. They don't smell very clean overall, sometimes they actually smell a bit musty, and even at best they just smell neutral, they never smell really "fresh". Particularly then if you get into the armpit of a t shirt say, it still kind of smells sweaty and not nice. What I think is happenin…

Hello, I'm new here. My Zannussi washing machine does not rinse thoroughly. I have had it for 4 years, and a year ago I noticed the problem with inadequate rinsing, so I watched the rinse cycle and no matter how many times I rinsed, there was still visible suds in the machine. I have it on extended warranty for 5 years . A new drum and several new parts were replaced - it made no difference. I use recommended cleaners(Zanussi Super Clean) on a regular basis and I use minimal detergent. John Lewis(the seller) are now saying that as the machine has practically been rebuilt, then the problem must be because I live in a 'hard water' area, so there is nothing th…

So this morning my Bosch WFL 2862 washing machine stopped spinning and after some google research this would probably be the carbon brushes that are worn. Took them out and there was little left on them. So I bought some new ones(oem 00154740) and fitted them one. Turned it on and set it to lowest rpm 800 and let it spin. It worked for a few seconds but them I heard a pop noise and it turned off all together. Now it won't even turn on any more... I checked if the brushed were still in and they were. Didn't see any other strange damage. I did not remove the motor will doing this btw. Is it toast?

Hi. My beko washing machine has recently started to smell of bad eggs when on a washing cycle, mainly when the water is on a heating cycle. Once it starts rinse cycles the smell starts to go away, and when it's started spinning it's mostly gone. The clothes however come out smelling fine and fresh. I've run it on a standard wash cycle with nothing in and no wash powder and no smell. The drum dosnt smell when not being used. I've tried cleaning, with no real effect, when I did the wash with no powder or clothes it took a couple of washes for the smell to return. Interestingly when it's draining, I can smell the same smell around the drain outside, but normally there …

Hi I have a logik L712WM13 washing machine that is showing e21 error code, I know this code is a drain problem , so I've checked for blockages in the, outlet, pump, pressure pipe and tube. I've checked for leaks in these parts also all ok. I've fitted a new pump, pressure switch and brushes in the motor also tried the 2 litre of water reset trick for the pressure switch all to no avail, when I do this the water pumps out. I'm completely stumped to what else the problem might be. Thanks in advance for any insight to what it might be
