Beko 2 month old bushes, bushed

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I replaced the bushes on my beko washing machine about two months ago and it's stopped working again.  One of the bushes is perfectly fine and about 3cm long but the other is down to the plastic and the plastic is burnt.  I probably put them in wrong but they looked ok to me.

What should I do next?

Cheers.

Hi. Has the smaller brush jammed in the holder? That would explain it be g so small and all of the burning as the brush didn't extend out as it wore down and therefore started to spark.

Thanks for the update. I was just going to say I think it's impossible for a brush to have worn out so quickly.

Also, there are a lot of non genuine carbon brushes that aren't as good quality and wear out a lot quicker. If you try again make sure you get genuine brushes and not "to fit" or "will fit".

Thanks for that, that was my suspicion.  I had to go for the cheaper option at the time but i'll go ahead and get the proper ones this time.

Cheers

Nice one. Also, brushes are usually held captive in the holders. After fitting the need releasing, usually by be bending out a tab. Make sure you release both brushes properly.
