I got a leak in the filling cycle and I can't find the source of the leak. I checked all the hoses and pipes that I can reach and they are dry. The leak is on the right side of the machine roughly underneath the dispenser. Has anyone experienced a leak like this.

My machine has now stopped working. I set a programme, the machine kicks in makes the right noises as if it's about to start and then just cuts off. The power and wash lights stay on but it won't reset or cancel no matter how long I keep my finger on the button. It won't let me reset so can't get into test mode. Anyone able to help?? Thanks

Our washer dryer model above is stopping mid cycle with time still left on display. After draining its not spinning although when it stops I can turn it off and then back to the programme and it will start where it left off Spin works fine on spin only mode... Also finding that the Middle of the detergent compartment is filling with water. This fault happened after I found the drainage pipes were blocked. I've unblocked them in full and washer dryer is draining ok. This appliance has had a brand new motor and element in the last year and is just over 3 years old. It's also had a new bearing x and 2 new boot gaskets! I have ran on 90c with bleach 3 times with no …

I need to replace the drum bearings on a 7-8 year old Bosch WAE. I bought a bearing repair kit P/N 172686 which consists of the bearings, a bearing seal, some machine screws and a tub gasket. In order to split the tub I have to break a dozen or so plastic clips and then use the additional machine screws to replace them on reassembly. The instructions show the the pclipsbeing broken with side cutters or something plier like. I'm not convinced that will work. There is an e-spares video on youtube where he does it withya small chisel but I am concerned about puncturing the tub. Has anyone done it and what was the best way to break the clips? Ta for reading, BB

Hello all, A new member from Essex here. Sorry to ask for help straight away. I've an Indesit Washing Machine model WIDXL146 whose drum refused to turn recently. Took out the motor and found the brushes were badly worn. The armature seems OK. Regarding the brushes, can anyone please help to identify the correct part number? My motor has C.E.SET label on it. Based on this information, I found a part C00194594 online. I found some good prices too but can't find my model mentioned anywhere for this part. There are 100s of models mentioned including WIDL146UK, Is this same as my model: WIDXL146? Your help would be highly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Hi again, Not so long ago I bought some new carbon brushes which when fitted breathed life into my old girl again. Having then laid down the gaundlet to another forum moderator edd to bring it on and see who's WM63 last the longest, it seems I may have done the equivalent of a Murray Walker comment and jinxed the poor WM. Put a load in today on E cycle as normal, set it away as normal, only to then potter about doing some recycling. After 15 mins or so, I come in put the kettle on and wonder why the WM is so quiet. Nothing is working. Door locked dash isn't lit up as it should be once working, so turn the WM off at the on off button, check fuse in kitchen which is ok, c…

The water supply is no doubt very much to blame .Even though cleaned the filter at the inlet the gunge has got across , causing the lights to flash and the cycle to abort before the main wash. I got around this by manually filling the detergent compartment with a litre or so of water from the tap but the problem has got worse to the point that I am not sure if I can nurse it any more. I took out the soap drawer for a closer inspection and saw the gunge (like something out of Alien) seeping from the series of holes above the detergent. Can I take my machine apart and clean all this gunge from the inside or is that going to be a thankless and pointless task? Is…

My machine has recently starting making a really horrific noise on its final high speed spin. When washing and doing the lower speed spins it is as quiet as normal -it literally makes this noise in the final two minutes of a wash/spin cycle. I've removed the back and had a look at it while it is spinning -there is no unusual vibration. I have checked the filter and there is no unusual build up in there. When the noise is present I noticed a lot of sparks coming from the motor and a smell of elctrical burning, so I assumed the brushes were worn. I've just bought new ones and now have the motor out and the brushes out, but there is plenty of length left on them and they are…

Well, even though it is working just fine, we have decided to ditch the WM62 and give it to my youngest son and buy a new machine. I am stuck at making any decision. A lady I know told my daughter "i swear by indesit, had mine 5 years now". That can obviously speak for itself, 5 years is well out of date and anything could have happened to indesit by now. I remember the old zanussi days, very good machine but have no idea what they are like now. Money no object, just want a long uninterrupted service time. Any ideas PLEASE

We have had this machine for about a year with no problems. However on the last wash all the clothing came out covered in small white specks like paper. Before putting the wash on all pockets had been checked for tissues and we are satisfied that is not the source of the problem. The clothes were rinsed again in an effort to remove the white specks without success. Before we call out an engineer is there any possible explanation for this happening or could it be a problem with the machine? Thanks in advance for any replies received. Ps we do not use washing powder, only Morrisons liquid tablets.

Hi all, I have an issue with my Bosch Maxx Classic front loader that I am hoping someone can help me with. Basically the drum will not spin and makes a humming type noise when attempting to do so. When I put the washer on 'spin' with no load (nothing inside) it will not turn but if I commence the spinning manually myself like helping it to start turning it picks up speed and performs as normal. So basically the drum does spin but just cannot START turning under its own power. Would this indicate that I am dealing with a brush issue or perhaps a faulty capacitor? Thanks for any help you can give me with this

I have the above machine and the drum bearings are definitely shot! I have searched and searched for bearings for this model but all I'm getting back is a complete drum and tub? Is this the case? Please help as the parts are quite expensive! Many thanks! Paul.

my 2 year old Indesit iwc81481eco needs new drum bearings. Now from what I can gather this is a sealed type of drum that means I have to buy a complete new drum and cannot just replace the bearings. would anyone on the forum be able the confirm this before I part with 100 odd £££. I rang Indesit but the lady I spoke to couldn't confirm either way!!! Thanks I'm advance for any help. Westie

Hi, Whilst my WM63 was out of action I had to the use of my friends Indesit IWB5113. That stopped working yesterday. On program 4 it injested water as usual, the drum turned a couple of times and then nothing. I read throught other threads on here last night before posting today but I don't have flashing light syndrome and whilst I couldn't open the door with the machine on/plugged in, I unplugged it and waited and the interlock system works as I managed to get the clothes out (albeit wet), so don't think the interlock is to blaim as other threads indicate. I turned the dial to drain and the drums span/turned (although all of the water did not drain) so not motor I don't…

Hi all, After my wife successfully overloading the washing machine AGAIN, the metal clamp seal has come off, with the usual results of water everywhere. As far as I can see the metal clamp seal looks ok, is it possible to re-attach round the rubber seal again ? And if so any pointers onto how to do this ? Regards Brian

I have an Indesit IWDE 126 washer dryer. Ever since we moved into the house where it was already installed we have had problems with the Start/Reset button. You have always had to give it a good hard push, but recently we've been using a wooden spoon to make sure we can press it in hard enough. I always assumed it was something mechanical that meant proper contact was not being made with the PCB inside the washing machine. The repair guy came out, took it to bits, and now he says we need a new EEPROM costing up to 200 pounds. He may be right but to me something just doesn't stack up. I'm an engineer so I know a little of what I'm talking about. I told him that I though…

Hi there! I have a hotpoint Aquarius wdl540 (wash/dry), and this has not been happening in every wash, but happened enough times to get me worried. Does anyone know the reason why the cycle sometimes starts normally but keeps going forever and won't switch to spin automatically? I noticed this few times and the only thing to do was to pause it and manually change it to spin. Spin works fine, it's that automatic finish to the wash and move onto spinning.. Than you for any help and guidance you can give me!!! Jools

Hi, I have a Daewoo DWDG124KC washing machine. I have noticed recently that when selecting cotton 40 or 60 degree wash, that somewhere mid cycle the dashboard changes to cold and the remaining of the wash which can be up to 30 minutes is cold. Is this normal or should the wash maintain its temperature throughout whole cycle? Thank you for your help.

Hi, I am having trouble with my hoover oph 614 washing machine. I have searched every forum and every site I can find but the error codes do not seem to apply to my problem. The machine was running a 30 degree wash, the cycle we use most of the time, and crashed/paused full of water the other day. Three lights are flashing (Door Security, No Spin, and 3h). All forums say to count the flashes between the pause, but the lights flash once every 2 seconds.....no pause or changes in frequency!! I eventually drained the machine by the filter hole and after having it unplugged for some time managed to open the door to empty the load. Now when I turn the machine on the same l…

Hello and thanks in advance to anyone that will help. I have an IGNIS washer that suddenly doesn't work anymore. I select a program, push ON but nothing happens, washer doesn't lock the door nor start... I can't find the model number http://i.imgur.com/f3ZBLYr.jpg http://i.imgur.com/P9YUA1s.jpg http://i.imgur.com/LqbDpxY.jpg http://i.imgur.com/YvFtjUB.jpg I checked 1) socket with a lamp, working 2) different programs, nothing works It was working perfectly before, no prior warning. I don't know if it is related but... Recently I plugged a lamp that had a faulty cable that caused the house "main switch for plugs" (I don't know the technical name) to go off. However a…

Hi i am new to the form so firstly hello! Now, we have an issue with our indesit washing machine. Usually we turn the machine on, set it for a spin and at some stage during whatever cycle it is working through it all cuts off. Leaving the wash sometimes soaked in water, other times half filled. It appears to be at random intervals. I have checked the usuals, i.e. The filter which is all clear and clean, the outlet hose, again all clear and gave the machine a good clean throughout. We found a temp work around in which if we set it to a cold wash it would usually work. However this is also failing now too. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have a 2 pronged problem, a washing machine that's stopped working and girlfriend without a washing machine. Any help with the first, will solve the second! Seriously though, I have a problem with our Candy washing machine. The model is CM2 106-1 S/N-31000921, this is an Italian model because I'm currently in Greece. The problem is the door secure light. It's constantly flashing and we can't run any progam. I've tried to contact Candy who are really not in the least bit interested. I've searched and searched and have narrowed it down to either the lock mechanism, the PBC or the motor brushes. I've had it apart, checked the wiring, they seem ok, I've taken the lock…

Thanks for reading my question. I am wondering, if a washing machine is draining into a laundry tub, and the water in the laundry tub fills past the washing machine drain hose (so that the hose is submerged in the water), what is the likelyhood that the washing machine will syphone the dirty water back into the macihne? Thank you

We have an AEG Lavamat Turbo 16810 Update (914601605/02) that has worked flawlessly from installation 2004 up to yesterday. Now it stopped in the middle of a washing program. I set it to "Drain" program and it emptied, but if you try to start a program again it stops after just a minute or so. The stored error code is E66 (this does not show unless you go in to the menu by keeping buttons pressed and turning to spin). At the same time that this happened, there was suddenly also a small leak underneath the machine, about 10cm in from the front and 10 cm from the right. Strangely, when pulling out the small grey drain hose next to the filter and opening that, there is NO w…
